Besides, if anonymity actually did strip those rights away, then—hypothetically speaking—that would be the exact argument someone might use to claim they could break the law (say, through harassment) without being held accountable... which simply isn't how it works.
As for censorship—if it were truly an effective method for forcing opinions on people, we’d still be living under communism in Yugoslavia, or Russians and Ukrainians would still be stuck in the USSR, along with most other nations for that matter.
Look, anonymity doesn't grant you any special constitutional rights because you're essentially trading them away in exchange for the privilege of hiding your identity (for whatever reason you choose). But—and this is the crucial part—it doesn't diminish your legal obligations. The whole point of the Constitution and our legal system is to establish the norms and boundaries of acceptable behavior within society, ensuring that individuals, groups, and society at large are protected from things that fall outside those bounds.
If that weren't the case, nobody would ever have to answer for anonymous online crimes—think financial fraud, forgery, and the like (I know, I know, hate speech and harassment are lower on the priority list for societal protection, but they are still legally defined too)—because everyone would just choose to stay anonymous whenever they felt like breaking the law and hurting a fellow citizen.
Anyway—I could go on about the censorship of dissenters on this site, and honestly, I agree with what you laid out there—but at the end of the day, this forum is private property, and being here is my own personal choice...
