I’m hitting my late twenties now, and I’ve come to the realization that someone's music taste is basically a window straight into their soul. So, if you end up dating a guy who’s all about country music, old-school rock, and whatever mainstream pop is playing on the radio, here's the deal: you aren't going to find any middle ground when it comes to going out—there's just nowhere that hits the spot for both of you (just forget about concerts, clubs, or anything remotely cool). And if you ever head back to his place after a date, expect him to blast some generic Top 40 pop while you're trying to be intimate. Plus, if heaven forbid you guys actually get married, he'll want 300 people there with a loud bluegrass band, everyone jumping on tables, and that whole rustic, tacky vibe—ugh. HARD PASS FOR ME.
(My husband was picked from the Apple catalog—definitely made the right call here.)
(Honestly, though, there are plenty of guys who pretend to be deep indie kids, but then they show up to the party singing every single line of those cheesy country songs—those are the ones who end up planning those tacky weddings and living that whole unrefined lifestyle.) 👎

"The Sisters of Mercy are hands down the most ridiculous goth band ever, led by the fanatic Andrew Eldritch (who apparently doesn't wear underwear, just two pairs of pants layered over each other, and has basically been the only actual member of the band for years), and they're hitting the road again. How? We have no idea, we respond."
And honestly, that was just written by those two total nobodies—Seljo and the shepherd—who people call those names as a joke, but let's be real, they really are just absolute hillbillies
not to mention they know next to nothing about music, can barely string a sentence together, and they haven't the slightest clue how to be funny, even though they clearly think they're hilarious
they're honestly doing a massive disservice to Rolling Stone
So you’re telling me your feet were hurting from all that dancing? Honestly, shame on you!
I mean, I was out dancing until the crack of dawn while pregnant and didn't feel a single thing—well, except for my little guy losing his mind during Fugazi, since he can't stand them, which basically drove me crazy, but other than that, I felt fine. So, how on earth are you guys feeling sore? nc,nc

1. Sandy - Indexi = my sister absolutely loved that old song, and her name ended up being Sandy.
2. ....well, we were expecting a niece... my sister and my brother-in-law just couldn't agree on a name until this song came on the radio, you know, "...for my bad days I love being alone, drinking and wandering through the taverns..." and now the kid is named Anna....
....honestly, for the better half of us, you can always just sing "..let the baby be named after me.."
That’s all pretty cool and all, but it’s gonna be a BOY, so... if it were a girl, I’d probably go with Anna too.
Kevin Chavez3 said:My buddy Tom had the absolute best names for his cats. His first one was named Tom just like him, then he had Boldrick, third was Ramones, and the fourth was SKA. Yeah!
He’s actually a solid friend of his from Denmark (for those who aren't in the loop, he was the vocalist for Cradle of Filth, hands down the best band ever) 😁 😁 😁
I mean, Mortiis is great... though maybe not quite the vibe for a pregnant woman, haha.
But honestly, I can't get behind calling Cradle of Filth the "best band ever," no matter how much I love them. Plus, that kind of stuff isn't really what you put on for young moms, much like Dimmu Borgir and the rest of that crowd.
David works as a suggestion, sort of like David Bowie, but the numerology is just totally off, so David is a no-go for me.
Grace Mitchell22 said:Since the kid is so obsessed with HipHop, I might just have to start calling him Lil Bow Wow. 😁 😁 😁
I mean, honestly, whether you're talking about Snoop Dogg or—heaven forbid—Nelly with the band-aid, it’s just a total disaster. The names are tragic, the aesthetic is a complete mess, and they both act like they're way too cool for their own good.😁
Ryan Ruiz, look, Martin just can't pull it off; he'd basically get roasted in kindergarten for being "Stinky Martin," whereas John is actually cool enough to swing it.
I am honestly totally stuck on what to name my little guy (it’s a boy!), though I’ve already noticed he’s got a serious thing for electronic music and all those upbeat, catchy tracks from the 80s. He’s clearly going to be a high-energy kid, too. The problem is, if I just went down the rabbit hole of my own musical obsessions, we’d end up with some pretty ridiculous names—like Iggy Pop? No way. Maybe David Bowie... or Robert Smith, or Ian Curtis... I don't know, I'm completely lost. Someone please hit me with some actual decent boy names...
It honestly feels like most of the people bashing electronic music don't actually know the first thing about it, and frankly, their general musical literacy is pretty questionable too. I mean, not everyone, obviously, but it feels like the majority. It’s kind of like those folks who think "noise" just means anything loud, or assume that if you say you like metal, you basically just mean Guns N' Roses. That’s roughly the level of musical depth we're dealing with here. Plus, half the people trashing the genre haven't even heard of the massive bands that actually shaped it, so I have to wonder what they're even criticizing in the first place.

Honestly, I feel like everyone’s "personal take" is way overrated, since every idiot out there thinks they have one—but then again, what even qualifies as an *opinion*? Such a heavy, philosophical word to toss around, isn't it?😕
