Their biggest headache right now is just how unstable the car feels, which honestly makes sense when
they're the only ones not running dampers—or "shock absorbers," if you want to use the modern terminology
—and because of that instability, they’re forced to run this massive rear wing that absolutely kills their straight-line speed...

They'll eventually sort themselves out, but who knows when that actually happens...

It's such a massive letdown that they didn't have that suspension setup dialed in by the season opener.

I caught some of that earlier, but I was reading the news today and it sounds like they haven't actually fixed a damn thing; their lap times are still stuck in the gutter, haha. Maybe they were just trying to keep things quiet and low-key, but I find it hard to believe they can suddenly start shaving tenths off every single lap. I guess I'm hoping they pull it together, even though I can't stand them—it honestly makes my blood boil because I just want to see some real competition out there. Look, I'm rooting for Ferrari all day, but I really don't want this season to be decided and over by the time we hit Austin.🤣😍

And what about zero? Honestly, if we’re being realistic here, isn't zero actually the most plausible outcome?

Look, none of us here have actually sat in the stands and watched Clark Kent tear up the track in person, but does that really mean we can't have an opinion on his driving style based on everything we've read about him?

Are you absolutely certain nobody has?

hollowhawk412 said:That whole engine situation feels incredibly sketchy... back in 2007, engine development was strictly handcuffed by the regs, so it strikes me as bizarre that one of the most dominant power units we've seen in years would suddenly start choking on horsepower...
but like Pilatus mentioned, maybe there are other variables at play here...
I honestly can't see how the rest of the pack could have pulled off any kind of meaningful advantage throughout 2007...

And when you talk about getting out of the corners, that’s really where the suspension setup and how the car dances with the tires comes into play...

Raw engine grunt matters for top speed on the straights, sure...

Look, I get it—engine power is what drives you down the straightaways
but right now, they don't have the straight-line speed, which makes sense enough
except they're also totally gutless coming out of the turns
I just don't get what they were thinking with their direction, because nothing is working for them. If you look back at 2005 or even the year before that, nobody had the kind of exit speed they used to have, so I have no clue why they're struggling so hard to find it now. 🤷
I hope you catch my drift.

Aside from Ayrton, trying to crown the absolute greatest is like picking a favorite child—it’s basically impossible to say who actually holds the edge.

JIM CLARK🙏🙏🙏🙏

Just think back to what happened at Monza.

Look, the guy was certainly a hell of a driver, but honestly, I have no idea which legend you're even talking about based on how you've phrased this.

Well, it's mostly because you're still young, and honestly, you won't truly figure out if you're a die-hard fan of his until some time passes; it's way too early to tell right now, unless you want to end up like our little girl Hakkinen Sumi, drifting from one idol to the next just like Alonso did🙂. 👍But hey, just stick around here for now.

Look, I’m claiming that title myself. I’ve been riding for him since his days over at Renault, and I know exactly what he’s accomplished out there.

Here’s a little hint—just two titles under his belt.

No offense intended, but you still haven't earned the right to call yourself a real fan.

Look, Starks, I know you’re a die-hard Renault fan through and through, but let’s be real: there is absolutely nothing to show for them this season. It’s not like their engines are total junk—they aren't losing massive amounts of raw horsepower—but you can feel that lack of punch the second they hit an apex. They’re bleeding seconds every single time they try to carry speed through a corner. Just look at what happened when T. Glock left Alonso in the dust; he was hanging onto his tail by seven seconds, and honestly, that tells you everything you need to know about where Renault stands right now. They’ve basically vanished from the conversation. If Ferrari manages to pull off a win in Barcelona, they won't just be leading; they’ll be running a solo parade because the competition we were all promised simply isn't showing up.

And as for those video clips, honestly, I just couldn't bring myself to sit through them—way too boring... plus, let's be real, Alexander Hamilton is going down in the history books as the ultimate loser.... 😂

On the whole "loser" thing, though? Yeah, I'm right there with you.🙏

Nicole Reyes97 said:I bet poor old Ron Dennis had to crack open a bottle of Advil after hearing that... it's the first time he’s actually admitted his golden boy messed up the line somewhere.😲 😲 🤣

🤣🤣👍 Honestly, that statement probably just cut his life expectancy short.

I mean, does anyone actually expect anything more from Renault at this point?🤣🤣🤣🤣

Look, I’m a decent enough person, but even I have my limits, you know? If things actually went down like that, I’d be shaking like a leaf on a tree in a hurricane. 🙂

lonebison19 said:Oh, really? Since when do you actually know anything about this? If you're such an expert, why don't you tell me why Trulli jumped out of the cockpit so fast today? What on earth was going through his head? And please, spare me the nonsense...

God, damn, what kind of insults am I getting now? Suddenly I'm some kind of outsider? Look, Trulli basically had a battery explosion in his car, so you saw him turn pale—it was pretty rough, honestly.🤣

lonebison19 said:Hey, listen... do you happen to have any idea who actually took the championship in 2005 and 2006, and which cars they were driving?

Look, I’m sure you know way more about this than I do, but let's be real: Renault managed to snag back-to-back championships, and they haven't touched that kind of glory since. That was a lightning strike, pure luck. When I make these points, I'm looking at the big picture. You look at how Ford and Honda have been performing lately, or even how McLaren is holding their own—they've all looked incredible on paper. But the real question we have to ask ourselves is whether this is actual sustained dominance or if we're just watching some rookie teams go out there with too much enthusiasm and not enough staying power. It's easy to run fast when you're hungry; it's a whole different ballgame trying to stay on top once everyone else figures out your secrets. 😕
Australian Grand Prix - March 16, 2008 in Formula 1 ·
Look, let's be honest—until someone actually lands a seat at Ferrari or McLaren, they're basically just another name on a roster. It’s a harsh reality, but I truly believe that's the only way anyone actually matters in this sport.😕

Hey everyone, how’s it going? I just stumbled upon this thread—honestly, what a complete disaster from Ford today. I’m beyond disappointed. Since I missed the live broadcast of NASCAR this morning, I decided to catch the replay around 2:00 PM, thinking I could enjoy the race without knowing the outcome, but man, was I wrong. 🤷 What’s up, neonharbor18?

It’d be a real sight to see if Kim's managed to pull off another win, though honestly, having Massa up there would be even better. I just want to see Ferrari sitting pretty at the top of the standings again; let's face it, drivers are basically just disposable parts in this game once they stop delivering results.
