Hahaha, give me a break. It's all the same everywhere you go; you act like we have some special prize waiting for us, like we're running Formula 1 or something. If there was actual money on the line, you'd see just how quickly corruption starts showing its teeth.

Man, maminjo got banned... so who's going to step up and start the thread for the next race?

I really hope things turn out that way, because honestly, the way this is heading, we’re looking at a total train wreck.

Do you actually know why Ferrari doesn't have any real competition???
You’re going to find out once Max Mosley finally leaves
Why do you think Ferrari is fighting so hard to keep him in his position?
The truth won't come out until he's gone
I honestly feel like we're watching the sunset on an empire called Ferrari
And don't get me wrong, I'm not denying they're the best
But there's always this nagging question in the back of my mind: "How?"
And you'll see the answer once he's out the door😉

I'll just leave you with this one thought regarding all your questions.
This isn't some chaotic mess from some third-world drama, I hope you realize that.

neonharbor18 said:Look, you're spot on—once someone pulls ahead and clears the field, the rest of the season just turns into this massive, agonizingly dull slog👎. But honestly? If they actually wanted to spice things up, they should shake up the points system, maybe split it like 30% for qualifying and 70% for the race, then throw a wrench in the works by starting the grid in reverse order based on those qualifying times. Now *that* would be something worth staying awake for.🙏🙏🙏

That’s exactly my point—the Ferrari Racing Team finally showed some teeth, and now all they're doing is cruising to victory
. I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm pulling for the Ferrari Racing Team all the way, but there's just zero tension when there isn't a real fight on the track. Right now, they don't have any decent competition to push them, so it feels like we're just waiting for their engines to sputter out again in the next few races.
God, did I really just type all that out?🤣

Hahahaha, man, you clearly didn't even watch the race. You missed the whole show—especially when Coltard-Sato managed to slice right past T. Sato, not to mention all that absolute chaos and overtaking right at the start.
Spain Matchday 27 - April 27, 2008 in Formula 1 ·
Look, it’s exactly what I predicted, but honestly? It sucks that Ferrari is sitting up there in the top two spots. This shouldn't have happened because it totally kills any sense of drama and makes the whole season feel incredibly dull 😢

If you ask me, the absolute highlight was watching Hamilton muscle his way past Fisichella

Look, I’m holding out hope for some actual improvement, but let’s be real—I’m certainly not expecting any miracles here.
Spain Matchday 27 - April 27, 2008 in Formula 1 ·
Heh, Kimi takes the win just like I figured he would. Massa put in a solid drive, too—thank goodness he didn't end up finishing second. As for Renault, honestly, hats off to them; I definitely wasn't expecting this kind of turnaround. It’s finally starting to look like they might actually have a decent season ahead of them.

I really hope Renault actually fixed the car, because let’s be real, they were getting lapped by ten laps earlier. 🤷
Spain Matchday 27 - April 27, 2008 in Formula 1 ·
Kimi is looking like he’s taking pole today

I just really hope we don't end up seeing a double podium for Ferrari at the top
Spain Matchday 27 - April 27, 2008 in Formula 1 ·
Hey everyone, does anyone have any insight into how those testing sessions are wrapping up? I’m dying to know if Mass is still sitting comfortably at the top of the pile.

Edward Howard2 said:See, you actually used a better word there—"expected." But just because that’s what was sitting in your head doesn't mean everyone else was seeing the same thing. Take me, for example; going into last season, I certainly wasn't banking on Alonso taking the title, mainly because I had zero reason to believe McLaren would suddenly become such a powerhouse and start outclassing Ferrari during the races.

Your logic is just super, really top-tier stuff here 👍 🤣

We're basically arguing over total nonsense at this point, so honestly, it doesn't matter how solid my arguments are.
Spain Matchday 27 - April 27, 2008 in Formula 1 ·
Edward Howard2 said:honestly, you’re being even more ridiculous than I thought😂😂😂

so, if we're following your twisted logic, Schumacher should have been crowned champion back in 2005 before Alonso just because the guy had seven titles under his belt while Alonso was sitting there with zero.

besides... look at the stats—Alonso finished just one spot behind Hamilton in only two races, whereas Hamilton ended up finishing in a worse position in six different outings.

well, obviously everyone expected Sumi to take it, but you can't exactly fight against pure disobedience and a run of terrible luck.

and let's be real, Hemic outplayed Alonso, plain and simple, so there's really nothing left to debate there.
anyway, this whole argument is just pointless nonsense; trying to compare drivers like this is a total waste of breath.
Spain Matchday 27 - April 27, 2008 in Formula 1 ·
hollowhawk412 said:Look, Hemic's got a whole different crew running things over at ExxonMobil...

Man, if Hemic were some big-shot politician from the South, they’d have already crucified him😁
long before he even stepped foot in the driver's seat.

For this whole thing to actually make sense with that title—where everyone is sitting around wondering if Hemic or Homic, or whoever you want to call him, is going to pull through this race or if he'll even scrape together some points—I honestly think he's looking at a fourth-place finish.
Spain Matchday 27 - April 27, 2008 in Formula 1 ·
Look, let’s be real here—Hamilton was clearly the better driver in that matchup. Alonso showed up already riding high on two championships under his belt, so you’d expect him to walk in and dominate wherever Hamilton managed to find success. It’s like if you took someone like Novak Djokovic and sat him right next to an all-time legend; you’d fully expect him to rack up four or five wins just by being in that tier of competition. That's how the math should work, right?

Man, I haven't heard a more brilliant piece of logic in a long, long time.👍

He's supposedly better than Lewis Hamilton, though I remember seeing Fernando Alonso fly right past him last year—it was a beautiful overtake to watch, really. Anyway, what was it you were asking about that F1 game?

darkmarlin16 said:Alonso is feeling pretty good about how the R28 is coming along
(Formula 1 Testing in Miami - Alonso) Fernando Alonso seems genuinely stoked with the way the R28 is evolving after today's session. They managed to shave off a few tenths, which puts them right back in the rearview mirror of the Ferraris and McLarens, and it looks like they might actually have enough bite to go toe-to-toe with Red Bull and Williams

Fernando Alonso testing out the new aero package. Source: Renault Alonso. It looks like Renault Alonso is quite pleased with the progress on the R28 after getting their first real taste of those new aerodynamic upgrades during today's run.

"The car felt solid today, and we seem to be sitting in a reasonably competitive spot. But let's not get ahead of ourselves—most teams were running slicks today, so we shouldn't get too hung up on the raw lap times. We're making real strides, testing out new components that are performing beautifully. We knocked out 119 laps, which is basically two full race distances, and while we're happy with the productivity, there's still a mountain of work left to do tomorrow," Fernando Alonso remarked following a very successful day on track.

Roughly speaking, Fernando is happy with Renault's progress and claims they've closed the gap to McLaren and Ferrari.

Man, you really swallow all that whole, don't you? You're talking so fast I can barely keep up, acting like you've got to prove to everyone here that Renault is the top dog and Alonso is the undisputed king of the track.😂

Arthur Doyle70 said:Why though???🤷

It's pretty simple—it's just because that guy is currently performing way better than him.

hollowhawk412 said:I’ve been hearing the rumors floating around that the McLaren SW upgrade is basically just delivering nothing but high-tech floppy disks at this point.
It’s honestly getting a little pathetic to watch. At this point, Renault doesn't even have the guts to take a single scrap of data or any kind of technical inspiration from McLaren anymore. They just sit there, paralyzed by their own incompetence, while everyone else moves forward. 😁

Haha, honestly, there’s just no saving them at this point; they’re basically just fading into the background noise now.

Oh, please, like he actually proved he was mature
don't go looking at those wins from last year and thinking they were anything more than just him riding in a powerhouse machine.
