Just got diagnosed with a hernia.
I'm looking into where I can get the surgery done—either using the Lichtenstein method or the tension-free technique... since they do them under local anesthesia, the recovery should be faster and way less painful.
Washington, D.C. or San Francisco, preferably at a private clinic because this is super urgent...

Regarding DIY targets... anyone here actually used them before?
Could I make a target out of wax, maybe like a 0.5 cubic block?
Think that would stop an arrow or nah...

Just picked up a crossbow and I’d rather not spend my time shooting at my front door instead of a proper target...

I know about Cabela's, but their hunter-grade stuff is total garbage. It's all just cheap knockoff brands...

The only thing I was doing while running Tactical Ops was ripping DVDs. One core handled the game, the other chewed through the discs... everything ran smooth as silk...

Aha, I get you. So if one core gets "full," it just shifts the load to another one...
Does that mean the first core is basically the default or what?
I'm wondering if I can take one specific program or game and force it onto a single core, just so it doesn't have to deal with all the other background junk...🙂

Look, here's the deal: everyone knows we've been flooded with dual-core processors lately. The real question is, how much does an average user actually get out of them?
What I'm really wondering is this; is there any software out there that lets you manually shift certain apps to run on a different core, since Windows doesn't seem to utilize both cores... which drives me crazy...
Got this Core 2 duo proc. that I can't even use properly... 😠
And what's the deal with 64-bit Windows, can they actually take advantage of the extra power somehow?
Also, what's the plan for Vista... is it actually going to be worth anything...
