It’s for a 60-year-old. I’ve been Googling some terms I didn't recognize and from what I can gather, the doctors are suspecting cancer. Now, is it benign, malignant, advanced, or just starting to develop...? thanks! image

That looks extremely suspicious for cancer, and unfortunately, when cancer is found in that specific location, it’s almost always incurable at the point of discovery... You really need to get in front of a surgeon who specializes in that area immediately to see if there's any chance for a resection, because if there isn't, palliative care is basically the only option left...

Because you have to give the bacteria actual time to grow... 😁

It’s highly likely they just absorbed a much larger dose of the anesthetic than intended, which triggered that drop in blood pressure and all those nasty symptoms... Honestly, if the allergy testing came back negative, there shouldn't be any reason to worry as long as you stick to the proper dosage...

It’s really not a huge deal, honestly, just make sure you let them know exactly when you stopped drinking so they can adjust your anti-thrombotic prophylaxis if they need to, and that’s pretty much all there is to it...
It sounds like my colleague is aiming right at the possibility of lupus nephritis and all its nasty complications... Either way, we definitely need to get a full workup done...
To start things off, you really need to take a close look at the stomach...
I honestly don't get what you mean by "left rib bone"... because if I look over at your other thread, you're mentioning a diagnosis of "metastatic cancer of the neck and chest." This means the primary source could be practically anywhere—we're talking from the ear, through the salivary glands, nose, face, larynx, pharynx, tongue, thyroid, lungs, stomach, breast, or even the bones themselves, and honestly, it could stem from just about any organ depending on the circumstances. And as for the type? It could be melanoma, lymphoma, carcinoma, or sarcoma... so, to answer your question, NOBODY can give you a straight answer based solely on the data you've provided here. You really need to go over the full medical documentation and figure out what additional testing is required to pinpoint the origin. The best move is to take everything to a decent oncologist—and let’s be clear, I am definitely not one—so they can weigh in with a professional opinion. But if you're asking me for my personal take on the prognosis? It's grim... A mass the size of a fist is never a good sign, regardless of where it started or what kind of cancer it actually is...
And you aren't going to get anywhere until they run the tests that actually NEED to be run, not just the ones some doctor thinks are convenient... 🤷

On the other hand, if things are actually improving, there’s really no point in making a massive scene about it; maybe the sore throat is related, but since it cleared up on its own, I doubt it, and honestly, they should have caught strep if that was the issue given how little effort they put in. There’s a whole spectrum of nasty bugs that cause throat pain and can easily cause issues elsewhere besides just EBV...

What can you even do? You’ve just got to sit tight and wait...

Test Type: Urine - bacteriological aerobic and mycological

Microbiological test results:

Physiological urethral flora - what on earth does that even mean? 😕

Did they actually take a urethral swab?
no
Chest tightness/burning sensation in Women's Health ·
It’s honestly tough to say for sure, because it could just be a pinched nerve or some kind of nerve pressure, and it might not even have anything to do with those little lumps at all... I mean, without actually being able to see them myself, I’m just shooting in the dark here... 🤷
1. Sure, Klavocin kills bacteria, but let's get real—if you've got an abscess hiding somewhere in your body without the pus being drained and that infected wall actually being cleared out, an antibiotic isn't going to wipe it out...

2. Those reactive arthritis syndromes can hang around for a month or two even after the initial infection has passed, and honestly, they aren't always easy to spot using just your standard, run-of-the-mill lab tests...

3. If you're slamming acetylsalicylic acid and all those other stuff—like Ibuprofen, Advil, or whatever else—stomach issues aren't just a possibility, they're practically a guarantee, especially if you're mixing high doses of different meds. If the pain is truly that intense, you should have been prescribed an opioid-based analgesic to take alongside the regular stuff, because otherwise... I know exactly how you feel since I went through the same thing myself, and I ended up having to go to a private clinic on Christmas Eve just to get it surgically removed because nothing else was touching the pain...

4. That needs to be cleared out as soon as possible, but unfortunately, I have no clue who's working at the hospital right now, so I really can't help you with that part... 🤷
GERD symptoms can sometimes mimic what you're feeling from taking too much Advil or Motrin, and honestly, there’s a chance a tooth infection is throwing everything out of whack here—it’s a bit of a long shot, but if your immune system is feeling sluggish right now, anything is on the table. Unfortunately, dental issues can manifest in some pretty scary ways; if you’ve got a fever and the chills alongside those aching joints after having dental work, we aren't just talking about simple pain anymore... we could be looking at reactive arthritis or even something as serious as bacterial endocarditis. Plus, there's always the risk of toxicity if you've been overdoing it with painkillers like Advil or similar stuff... At the end of the day, I can't give you a definitive answer, but that Apple molar absolutely has to come out. And frankly, if you're in this much pain and couldn't get seen immediately, they should have at least given you a decent analgesic to manage it. As for the joint dislocation—that really shouldn't have happened. Pain can definitely radiate toward the joint, but if it's actually dislocated, you might be dealing with inflammation within the joint itself. Usually, with the TMJ, it doesn't show up as a full-on dislocation, but rather as trismus, where you just can't open your mouth... An infection from a tooth can spread systemically through your bloodstream or cause local swelling in the facial spaces. There are so many different things linked to dental health, and while most of them are incredibly rare, they would almost certainly show up on a standard blood test...

It doesn't really matter when it comes to the whole bleeding situation... 🙂
Anesthesia, Resuscitation, and ICU: Q&A in Health ·
So, you're telling me you haven't had any tonsils out yet? Which means this definitely isn't your first time under the knife... 😕
Anesthesia, Resuscitation, and ICU: Q&A in Health ·
Well, if they've already cleared everything, then you really shouldn't be losing any sleep over whether some kind of infection might settle in...

As for the bruising, it's honestly hard to give you a straight answer because sometimes there’s just no clear reason why one person is more prone to hematomas than someone else, and other times it's just some weird, outlier manifestation of the illness itself, but regardless, the fact that this isn't the first surgery you've ever had suggests that, on that front at least, there shouldn't be much to worry about... 🤷
Anesthesia, Resuscitation, and ICU: Q&A in Health ·
Look, you really need to get that granuloma sorted out before you even think about surgery... 🙄

Regarding those bruises, you might be dealing with a milder version of von Willbrantov disease or maybe some kind of thrombocytopenia, though honestly, if you haven't dealt with any crazy bleeding episodes in your life up until now, it shouldn't just suddenly start acting up like this...

Besides, certain viruses and bacteria can temporarily mess with your coagulation and aggregation processes, especially at the capillary level—which is basically how those various rashes start showing up during infections anyway...
That doesn't necessarily mean you're clear of urethritis or some lingering cystitis that's been dragging on forever... It’s also totally possible that those intracellular bacteria just slipped right past the swab if they didn't sample from the exact spot where the trouble is happening, and then there's even the possibility of pulmonary versions like psittacosis, or maybe even recurrent syndromes triggered by chronic inflammation elsewhere in the body, like issues with your teeth or something... It's honestly hard to say for sure... 🤷
Searching for Chlamydia and Mycoplasma
Theoretically, sure, it’s possible—but I honestly don't buy it. It’s way more likely she just had some kind of nasty cold over the last couple of weeks and that’s what bumped up the ESR... Besides, trying to read an ESR reading on its own is a total nightmare because so many different things can spike it, and it’s pretty much useless as a specific indicator anyway, so if I were you, I wouldn't be losing any sleep over it... By the way, looking at your results, I see you've got ketones in your urine despite having normal glucose levels in both your blood and urine (which usually points toward ketogenesis from fasting), so there's a chance that elevated sedimentation is actually being driven by that too... 🤷
Epiphyseal cyst: What should I know? in Health ·
You really need to get an MRI done to get a precise look at what we're dealing with here; this isn't something you can just brush off or play around with because even if the histology shows it's mostly benign, it could act "malignant" simply because of where it's sitting—once you've got something pressing against structures in the central nervous system, there’s just zero extra room for anything to expand, and by the time you start feeling those symptoms from the pressure, it'll be too late because you're never going to fully recover... basically, you need intensive monitoring right out of the gate, and if it shows any signs of growing, it's gotta come out ASAP via neurosurgery, and honestly, I don't know anything about any other way to handle it...

If it isn't growing, then maybe you can just wait and keep a close eye on it...
