Was spinning some Williams today—it’s been a minute, but man, that track is just pure genius.

Is this some kind of later remix? I don't recall all that overrated teenage nonsense being in the movie—just Counting Crows during those big scenes.

There aren't many synth acts that capture what nostalgia—that whole blurry, hazy concept—actually feels like, or how memory works—which is basically the soul of this massive album. The peak of that classic era:

Gave it a spin the other day—she's solid, even if the whole thing sounds like it was pulled straight from in Rainbows.😁

Edit — accidentally put this arrow up there. Did I just invite a demon into my house?

God doesn't need your carcinogenic little cigarettes. Either commit to quitting for good or don't bother at all.

Watching your brilliant, hedonistic lifestyle play out on these heated sub-forums—can I actually hope that you'll be the one handing out punishments to smokers?

It’s actually a nice surprise—someone here in the States still knows about TTWS.

Did it happen? Yeah. But whatever.

And what about the posts before that? Those got deleted too, right? You missed that part by accident? Or are you just a straight-up hypocritical liar?

I’m not trolling anyone on the main boards—only in the chat—and honestly, your whole idea of "chat trolling" doesn't even make sense. You actually started acting out way before those weirdly aggressive outbursts from my buddies regarding what we talk about here. To this day, I still don't get why you suddenly throw these tantrums over some imaginary clicks I supposedly have with the mods. Basically, at one point, you just snapped at everything involving the Album of the Week while the thread was still relevant, complained that nobody takes you seriously there, cooked up some conspiracy theories, and announced you were leaving. Ever since then, you've used every single opportunity to try and prove the mods are amateurs and that I’m just some bitter provocateur who trashed the entire subforum. Now you're even blaming certain political factions for it—so I’ll give you an Elvis paraphrase: long live rock 'n' roll, even if a supposed troll makes his fans second-guess things. Look, I get that I can be provocative sometimes, but that's just how I roll—I'm convinced everyone would die of boredom if we all agreed on everything. Rock wouldn't even exist if everyone stayed in line.
That’s just how I see it, and you aren't going to change my mind. Go ahead and vent all you want, man—I'm not stopping you, and I haven't insulted you or anyone else just for having a different opinion.

I didn't ask you that, so quit playing dumb. I don't care about your little labels. Look, I'm asking again—why are you dragging my username into every single thread, especially here on PŽK? If you want, go hang out over in Music—I'll make sure to avoid your posts there. Just answer the question or leave me alone. Either way, just back off.

Honestly, anything you say is basically bulletproof against any kind of backlash. Believe me—I rarely, if ever, run into anyone like you online—and don't go putting this on your resume, because I doubt anyone would call it a recommendation.

Normally, I’m the type of guy who can take anything—nerves like steel—but man, my stomach actually knots up whenever I see a new subforum open and realize you’ve managed to drop another post in the meantime. You're lucky our mods are the way they are, because honestly, I’d have banned you indefinitely years before your last meltdown.

I knew you were unpredictable, but you really pushed me over the edge when you took a totally harmless comment about wanting a thread featuring Ševa, Androlog, and bluecyclist64 and turned it into some unprovoked rant calling me an "uneducated, talentless incel and a failed art historian." Then you get all emotional asking me to leave your mom alone—which I did, by the way—but you still had to throw in that little dig about me "wanking in my basement at my mom's house," only to show up here just to keep talking trash.

Man, why am I even interested in what you have to say? You're boring me, buddy. So either give me a coherent answer or just quit the pseudo-bullying, please.

amberfox7 said:You’re just not ready for this film yet. Maybe you will be by the time you're 70—just take your time driving your car. This is the work of a man whom even the harshest critics claimed created the only modern masterpiece (the Decalogue).

Blue is the kind of film every pretentious European arthouse director tries—and fails—to replicate as the pinnacle of their career. It has nothing to do with whether anyone "likes" him, or your claim that "everyone" does; it’s about admiring the sheer craft. By your logic, Lennon and Mozart would be considered mediocre too.

Bergman, Rohmer, and Antonioni are easily in my top 10 all-time favorites—so I highly doubt that "reaching maturity" is some huge factor when it comes to understanding Kieslowski.

I’ve got this one simple rule of thumb I live by—basically, whenever I’m dealing with something or someone that everyone seems to adore, it’s almost a guaranteed sign that the whole thing is just mediocre or totally worthless.

It’s even more obvious when people start pushing those high-and-mighty arguments about why you "shouldn't" have a different opinion. To me, that kind of rhetoric is usually nothing more than a stinking, desperate fear of authority and social trends.

amberfox7 said:We're just waiting on his critique regarding that comment about how Kieslowski's Blue is an overrated festival piece. I’m dying to see what he has to say about this one.

I'm here. Haven't watched it yet—but I will when the mood strikes. Sounds a bit less mindless than those Midwest types who think they're high-class just because they discovered expensive wine and "prestige" cinema.

"That thing he said..."? Cccc, kid, using pronouns to refer to someone else like that is just tacky; you should be thanking me for even talking to you. Unless, of course, you were making some subtle nod to Dennis Martin6's lecture on honorary suffixes.

Honestly, Picaferaj (who’s way better in the original version) and this one from Tomin are basically the absolute peak of what we produce here.

Reminds me of that old joke about how every true Mexican starts out a Chetnik and ends up a partisan. Or maybe it's the other way around—I can't remember.

Mexicans are stuck in this delusional fantasy where they think Russians actually give a damn about them. Beyond just daydreaming about more practical stuff, it’s basically their biggest obsession.

But seriously—let's get real for a second and ask ourselves: what would actually happen if, say, the Russians started running military drills right in the middle of Canada?
