Gary Cook4 said:I really think seeing a doctor is the right move here. It sounds like hemorrhoids to me.
Try getting some Hadens cream and using suppositories together. Those
suppositories stop bleeding fast because they have chamomile oil in them. If you can't find them in the US, check a pharmacy in Canada or just look for a different natural
remedy. The main thing is to act quickly—don't let fear or embarrassment hold you back.

That’s why I don't think you need to rush to the doctor immediately (unless things look serious)... say it's just one of those issues we handle ourselves... everyone I know has skipped the doctor for this, myself included... mine finally cleared up, though I hope it stays that way for good.

David Hernandez6 said:I'm asking all you kind souls for some help! I've got a problem. I don't think it's internal hemorrhoids because there's no itching or stinging, but it flares up whenever I deal with hard stools... maybe once a month? When that happens, I get bleeding for two or three days straight. 😢I felt a tiny little cut right at the entrance! It only bleeds when things are tough to pass, otherwise, there's zero itching or stinging. I'm planning to hit up the pharmacy tomorrow for some suppositories or a cream, but I'd love some specific names because I'm honestly too embarrassed to explain this to the pharmacist! If it gets worse, I'll head to the doctor. For now, I'll try to handle it myself. Thanks.

Since you mentioned bleeding, those are definitely internal hemorrhoids... grab some Fact suppositories. You could also go with a cream; most of them come with an applicator for internal use. (Personally, I have external ones and I use Hemopropin cream—it's plant-based and works wonders for me.)

Karen Adams2 said:But I just don't get how this can't be fixed once and for all.😕Even worse diseases get cured, yet this thing just lingers, no matter what.😠Right now, I'm feeling slightly better, but still... I can feel it...🙄I'm heading to the doctor for a checkup this month, hoping they'll actually give me some smart advice on why this keeps happening.

Listen, a doctor might only tell you the usual stuff: eat better, don't sit on cold surfaces, don't lift heavy things, blah blah blah... basically everything under the sun. Or they might suggest surgery, but even then, it could come back afterward. It's nothing to write home about. Unfortunately, these things just don't want to quit; I've already made my peace with it. Now, I just pay closer attention to the triggers that set mine off. Some people get lucky and go years without an issue—like my brother. He had them about five years ago and hasn't dealt with them since, though there's no guarantee it won't happen again. There are no rules with this stuff.🙄...I see you're a woman, but I don't know your age... these things can pop up during pregnancy or childbirth too...

He told me to use some Fact ointment. So, I went out and picked up the stuff. However, I noticed there's an applicator included, and since my doctor didn't specify, I'm wondering: should I actually use the applicator for external hemorrhoids, or can I just apply the ointment with my finger? 🙂

I know you need an applicator for internal use.

Look, just be glad they aren't bothering you right now... and get it sorted out. Once you deal with them, they're gone for good.🙄
I can say I'm doing O.K. now... really hoping this feeling sticks around for a while.

The cream is solid, and Hemopropin is great too since it's plant-based... personally, things have calmed down for me... but man, it can flare up out of nowhere, dammit. Once you've dealt with this, there's no going back to how things used to be... we just have to learn to live with it.

Sophia Thompson93 said:Can anyone who knows about this help me out? I'm honestly pretty freaked out. I didn't realize I had hemorrhoids; I've always had some issues with my bowel movements, but if anything, I thought they were just internal (though I haven't seen a doctor), since there was never any bleeding. Well, I hadn't gone for a couple of days, then finally did yesterday after taking a pill, and today while washing up, I felt this little bump right at the entrance—like a tiny ball or a pimple. I don't even know what to call it. This is the first time it's happened. Is this a hemorrhoid? It hurts, too—not excruciating, just this dull ache, and it’s throbbing even now while I'm sitting down. Please, if anyone knows what this could be, let me know. Just one suggestion is fine.

It's possible it's an external hemorrhoid... I have one myself. Try checking in a mirror; does it look kind of bluish?
Common signs are a slight stinging sensation, discomfort when you're sitting, or occasional itching.
Grab some Hemopropin or Faktu ointment... they help soothe things, but they won't actually cure them. You can't really get rid of them once they're there. You can calm them down so they stop bothering you, but the vein remains. It might disappear tomorrow and then pop back up in three weeks, two years, or ten years—there's no rhyme or reason to it. For me, they flare up every few months. Even now, I eat more juicy foods, cut back on soda, and try to avoid red wine, even though I love it. Red wine is definitely something to steer clear of if you have hemorrhoids; stick to more fruits and veggies instead. You just learn to live with it. I remember being totally shocked when I first found out, but now I just manage it with creams. If they don't stay away for a long time, maybe I'll look into surgery, but even then, there's no guarantee they won't come back. Once you deal with them, things just aren't quite the same.
And hey, tons of people deal with this. Honestly, I haven't met anyone who hasn't had them at some point... so there's that for comfort.

Man, external hemorrhoids are just the worst... mine have finally calmed down and the inflammation is gone for now, but it feels like they could flare up again at any second. I’m really hoping to kick this thing for good, even if it's just for a while.

Jack Hayes35 said:I've been dealing with chronic external hemorrhoids since 2006. It started with just one, then a year later two more popped up, so now I'm stuck with three of them all at once.
I tried using Ultraproct, but lately, I've been mixing Preparazione-H and Hemopropin. They help dull the pain, but they don't actually make them go away. In fact, I have one that turns into this little 5mm sac.
That sac fills up with blood sometimes if I eat anything spicy or have a glass of red wine, and it really hurts.
My diet is heavy on fruits and veggies, and my bathroom routine is super regular every morning.
After I go, my anal area swells up quite a bit, though it usually settles down after a few hours.
I'm starting to lose faith in herbal remedies, so I decided to go ahead with surgery at the Mayo Clinic on January 18, 2010.
Has anyone else dealt with something like this? I've been struggling with these for three years now and it's driving me crazy...

I'll just say this: don't count on surgery being a permanent fix (though maybe you can get lucky)... they can come back. I've read plenty about it, and people have told me the same thing. Anyway, good luck.👍

Harold Rogers5 said:The title is a bit misleading, I know—it only mentions part of the problem. The real issue is that my mom is fighting cancer with metastases, and Medicare just won't cover the specific chemo cocktail she needs. Depending on what’s in it, we’re looking at roughly $15,000
per round. -$10000 And she’s been prescribed at least six different drugs to start, some of which aren't covered either. Honestly, the only thing crossing my mind right now is starting a Facebook fundraiser to get some help. I’m just lost on how else to scrape together the cash for these basic, life-saving meds. Thanks in advance for any advice or help you can give me.

Memory issues? in Health ·
Kimberly Nguyen3 said:Ever had one of those moments where a word or an object's name just vanishes from your brain, only to pop back in a few minutes later like you never forgot it at all?

Totally normal... happens to me all the time. It’s probably just because you've got too much on your plate, so don't sweat it. As long as it isn't happening every single day, you're fine.

casualscout20 said:Greetings to everyone.
I find myself grappling with some rather serious issues regarding my memory and my ability to concentrate, so I suppose I should provide a bit more context to help you understand the situation. Back in high school, I was a fairly mediocre student; I attended a certain high school—honestly, I am almost too embarrassed to even mention which one—where academic rigor was non-existent. Grades didn't really matter, teachers were lenient, and nobody gave a damn about a GPA. I probably studied maybe once a month, if that. On top of that, I fell in with a pretty questionable crowd, and I spent a significant amount of time regularly smoking marijuana, which, as you know, is quite popular among the youth. As graduation approached, I had this sudden realization that I had no interest in what I’d signed up for and that I wasn't going to achieve anything with that mindset. So, after finishing my diploma, I decided to put an end to all that nonsense, turn my life around, and enroll in college. I chose Chemical Engineering, which is what I am currently studying, and I started studying with a level of intensity I had never experienced before, especially since the entrance exams focused heavily on chemistry and math. That was the first time I truly realized that things weren't going to be easy, as I struggled significantly. Still, I managed to get in, despite my high school GPA dragging down my standing. Once I actually started classes, I began studying religiously and even signed up for a speed-reading course. That is when everything really clicked for me, or rather, failed to click. I never actually mastered the technique because I am incredibly easily distracted and simply cannot maintain deep concentration. After passing a few exams, I noticed a pattern: after a certain amount of time passes, I realize I have completely forgotten the material I worked so hard to learn and pass. It remains the same way today. Despite everything, I am passing my exams and don't have any failed credits, but I have to wonder at what cost. I spend entire days just studying and studying, only for eighty percent of it to evaporate from my brain within a few months. Last year, I went to see a doctor and a psychiatrist to explain everything; I underwent various tests, physical exams, and consultations, but everything came back perfectly normal. There was nothing unusual detected, and none of the results showed anything out of the ordinary. In fact, my IQ is well above average, but I suppose that is useless if I just forget everything so rapidly. I have even tried taking Lecithin, but it hasn't helped at all. I can't help but feel that this all stems back to that period when I was using drugs, and that might be the root cause... I considered going to a specialized clinic for more comprehensive testing, but I suspect my current finances won't allow for that. Regardless, I am feeling quite despondent and am in need of some kind of assistance. If anyone here has had similar experiences or perhaps knows of some solutions to these problems... well, I would appreciate it, because I don't think I can continue like this. Thank you in advance.!!!

I think you might be overthinking this... we all forget stuff eventually. It's like me—once I pass a course, a while goes by and I have no clue what I actually studied. It's the same for everyone else too. A buddy of mine graduated a year ago, and he told me he barely remembers anything he learned; it all just vanished. Sure, you keep some bits and pieces, but that's totally normal. Don't sweat it. Honestly, I can't even remember what I did yesterday, let alone what I did weeks ago.🤷
