and you'll find everything works itself out

He’s talking about his forearms, not his upper arms...🙄..he can certainly hit the gym, but he shouldn't expect much growth there. You can take all the protein in the world, but bone structure is what it is. Usually, people with more body fat have thicker wrists, but if you're naturally lean, they stay thin...😁..as soon as he gets tired...🙄

That ended up messing with my heart, skin, and breathing too. After some tests, they found both internal and external issues—Grade 2 and Grade 3. They recommended surgery, and thank God I finally went through with it. I actually had two procedures: first the internal one, then the external one a month later. I spent three days in the hospital after the surgery. The pain was pretty significant, but nothing a few pills couldn't handle. After just three weeks of rest, I can honestly say my quality of life has leveled up. For anyone dealing with Grade 2 or 3, please don't sit around trying every herbal remedy or random pill out there. Just see a doctor and get your life back. It’s been two months now, and I still can't believe how foolish I was to wait this long.

Man, good for you... seriously. Mine aren't quite that intense yet, but they definitely bother me. I'd love to just get it over with and have the surgery. Could you give me a quick rundown of the whole process? Like, from the first doctor's visit until now? You can even DM me if that's easier. thanx

There is a specific section of my forearm that I can actually wrap my thumb and pinky finger around with ease, which is just absurd. While this isn't necessarily an issue that keeps me up at night, I find myself in this rather baffling situation where I seem to be gaining weight everywhere else on my body—absolutely everywhere—except for my arms. It makes no sense whatsoever, truly.

😛...everyone's got thinner wrists and forearms. No need to stress... honestly, you can't really "bulk up" that specific bone structure easily, you can only build muscle there...

Forget the yellow card...😛, I'm also curious about surgery...specifically laser treatment...has anyone here tried that newer laser method for hemorrhoids lately?

The stronger stuff requires a prescription, though... he should probably just head to his doctor.

Samuel Cruz61 said:It isn’t about dreaming; this happens roughly 5 to 10 minutes after I close my eyes, while I'm still in that half-awake state. For instance, last night I started dreaming about riding my bike to high school (my dreams are disturbingly realistic, though they aren't lucid).

FYI—I'm 18, and I deal with a moderate amount of daily stress, which is definitely one of the triggers.

Go see a doctor... honestly, I'd be heading to the clinic tomorrow if I were you.

Samuel Cruz61 said:Sleep paralysis doesn't bother me all that much. It can get incredibly intense and terrifying—especially when I feel like I can't breathe or I start seeing some grotesque face staring back at me or even a tiny little gray alien 😬 but even then, I know what's actually happening. I know it isn't real.

However, there’s another issue that scares me more. Over the last year, a few times a month right as I'm drifting off, my brain just takes flight and everything is fine, until suddenly—BAM. I hit this massive wave of stress. It feels like a physical shock, almost as if someone slammed a giant frying pan into me or tried to jumpstart my heart with electric shocks. Sometimes I just wake up feeling fine, but other times my heart is racing at 234 BPM and I'm completely rattled, like I just narrowly dodged a runaway freight train.

Is this something dangerous, and should I go see a doctor?

Hmm, I'd say it's sleep-related... basically having some nasty nightmares, which I think is fairly normal. Still, if it keeps happening this often, you should probably check in with a doctor. (When I was younger, I used to dream about these huge spheres rolling right toward me—super unsettling. I had that dream maybe two or three times and it left me really shaken up... but never again after that.)

Hey everyone, I've been dealing with an external hemorrhoid for a while now. Things have actually settled down lately, but I'm still weighing my options regarding IR coagulator surgery. Has anyone here actually gone through with that specific method? A lot of people tell me it’s painless and over before you know it, but even if I get it removed, there's no guarantee they won't just pop back up again. I'd love to hear from anyone who's more experienced with this. Thanks!

Something you're eating definitely isn't sitting right. Try to play detective and figure out what the trigger is... I deal with heartburn from time to time too.🙄

Any rough idea how many days until things get back to normal? 🙂

Man, I just wrote an entire novel only to accidentally log out of the forum....😠
Here’s the short version...
When I first dealt with them, I stayed in bed and just took it easy for three days...🙄
Keep yourself clean a few times a day... I used lukewarm water.... then apply the cream (don't overdo it, just a tiny bit more than a pea size)... after you go, use wet wipes—they won't irritate your skin or the painful area as much as dry paper would. And obviously, watch what you eat... I won't bore you with that since you probably already know, and there's plenty of advice on this thread about it...
Once, it flared up right in the middle of the workday... man, I couldn't take it, had to head home immediately...😲....these things are incredibly inconvenient.... especially since I earned them at a job I don't even work at anymore (though not by choice).

placidtrucker83 said:Respect, I'm new here. I've read most of the posts, but I haven't seen this exact issue, so I'm a bit unsure what's going on. Sorry if I missed something obvious...
Basically, two days ago I noticed some light itching around my anus, but it was brief, so I didn't think much of it. Then yesterday, the area started hurting—not itching or stinging, just a steady ache stretching toward my tailbone. After reading through the threads here, I tried to check if there was a lump, but honestly, I can't tell. I thought I felt a slight thickening at one point, but then I wasn't sure. In the meantime, I picked up some Fakto ointment, and since things have improved slightly, I'm assuming we're dealing with external hemorrhoids.
The only definite symptoms are this constant, heavy pain and the fact that I haven't had a bowel movement in 2 or 3 days. My habits aren't usually frequent, but they aren't problematic either. No blood or anything like that. Anyway, I'm heading to see a doctor, but I wanted to get some opinions here first since I'm out of town right now. I guess I should probably hit the ER (?)...
Thanks in advance

Grab a small mirror and take a look yourself...😉
As for the doctor part—go ahead, but don't expect anything groundbreaking. They'll likely just write you a prescription for a cream, most probably the Fakto you already bought. The constipation thing shouldn't be related to this. It sounds like you definitely have external ones. Does it feel like there's something physically in the way?

I've been using Hemopropin ointment (the external kind) and it’s doing wonders for me. It’s honey-based, which I love... everything has finally calmed down, so fingers crossed it stays that way.

Karen Adams2 said:Diet-wise, the main thing to skip is spicy food. If your digestion is steady—meaning you go every single day—you don't really need high-fiber foods, because that might actually make things worse for you, just like it did for me.😁 Another factor is if you're dealing with constipation.
Basically, stay away from spice, and for heaven's sake, don't sit on anything cold!!!

Rachel Garcia said:Mine is regular; I go every day. But I've dealt with hemorrhoids for years because my stools can get really hard (which is 🙂), plus it runs in my family.

Why avoid high-fiber food if your movements are regular?

Wait a second... you should actually be leaning into fiber, please... and this "regularity" thing?...😲..well...it isn't just about avoiding spice; there are 100 other things to consider...🙄

Karen Wood47 said:Can anyone suggest a meal plan I should follow?

There isn't really a specific formula to build... just focus on eating whole foods. Think lots of stews, soups, and fresh fruit, while cutting back on processed stuff. Also, try to stay out of the cold, avoid lifting heavy boxes, and don't spend too much time sitting or standing around. That's basically the gist of it.

Karen Wood47 said:What's the harm in seeing a doctor? It’s definitely better than just touching it and hoping for the best.
For me, things started acting up last Wednesday or Tuesday. By Saturday, there was a little pain, but that was it. Now it feels like it's almost gone, but I'm still going to get it checked out just to be safe.

Look, everything I told you stands. You can see I was right—I gave you the full story.😉

Karen Wood47 said:And what would happen during the doctor's visit?
I think I might have hemorrhoids🙂)
And then what happens? Do they actually examine you?

I'm not sure why you'd need a doctor, but hey, good for you for looking into it...👍
Honestly, nothing much. You just head to your primary care physician and mention you suspect you have external hemorrhoids. They'll give you an exam😁 and write you a prescription for some cream. If there’s anything serious going on—which usually isn't the case here—they'll refer you to a specialist. Surgery is only ever suggested if you've been dealing with this for a long time and want to get rid of it for good🙄... but those things can be tough to deal with...🙄
Don't sweat it, though. About 75% of people deal with hemorrhoids at some point. It's just one of those things you learn to live with, kind of like a headache...

Karen Wood47 said:If we had jumped on it within ten days and gotten some treatment, we probably would have avoided this whole mess and wouldn't be dealing with it later in life.

Once you've dealt with it once, you can't really predict when it'll show up again. It could happen in a week, a month, five years, or even twenty years from now. There's just no set rule for it.

Karen Wood47 said:Alright... I'll just head to the doctor this Monday and see what they say.

How do you actually treat this, and how long does it take?

You've been using HEMO for a week now and haven't felt any relief... 😲
Usually, you just manage it with soothing creams... or at the very end, surgery. But even then, there's no guarantee it won't come back. Honestly, HEMO-roids are incredibly tricky. Mine finally settled down recently, though.

John Cox8 said:I dealt with hemorrhoids toward the end of my pregnancy too, though I never actually had any inflammation or major issues. My only real annoyance was that they were visible, which was just frustrating. My OB-GYN told me as long as there’s no pain, it’s fine—so I didn't worry about it. They flared up a bit more during labor from all the pushing, but I came out the other side without any swelling or pain. Fast forward two years later, and they haven't totally gone away. They shrunk down, sure, but they still pop up every now and then. It’s honestly pretty bothersome. Has anyone else been through this? Do they ever actually disappear for good?😕

I don't think they're going to just recede on their own... (though they might, it just won't be that obvious). But if you have them surgically removed, they’ll be gone—provided they don't decide to show up again.

Sophia Thompson93 said:I don't have external hemorrhoids—honestly, I wouldn't even know if I did—but sometimes after using the bathroom, I feel something that just settles back inside. Today, I had some anal pain too; it twinged a couple of times and then stopped. There's no bleeding, so I'm not sure if they're actually hemorrhoids?
I struggle with digestion pretty often.

It's possible those are external ones...😁..they don't usually bleed (mostly the internal ones do)...and regarding your digestion, try eating more nutritious food (less dry stuff)...😉
