I’ve been thinking a lot lately about the concept of team loyalty, specifically how we view it as fans versus how it actually works behind the scenes. We love to root for the "family" vibe and the idea of players sticking together through thick and thin, but at a certain level of competition, that sentimentality feels almost naive.
It's easy to get emotional when a fan-favorite or a veteran who has been through the trenches gets cut. It feels like a betrayal of the culture the team is trying to build. But honestly? If a piece of the puzzle doesn't fit the current vision, holding onto it just for the sake of sentimentality seems like a recipe for stagnation.
I remember watching a team a few years back that kept cycling through the same aging stars because the coach didn't want to be the "bad guy." They ended up bottoming out because they were too afraid to make the hard calls. To me, real leadership isn't about being everyone's friend; it's about making those gut-wrenching decisions that keep the whole organization moving forward, even if it makes you the villain in the local headlines.
Do you think there's a point where "building culture" becomes an excuse for poor roster management, or are these tough cuts always just part of the business?

You're right, Lawless is a good one too😬
And especially Snatch with Brad Pitt.
Don't get me wrong, it's not like I have a crush on him.

🤣She's sexy, no doubt about it. Every guy would take the bait.

it just got depressing...
Looks like I slept through that part. Thank God.😛

Yeah, I watched it. It was interesting... mostly because people were actually being pretty nice to her, but she kept making a fool of herself by overdoing it. She's constantly flirting with every guy who acknowledges her self-proclaimed title as the "Queen of Key West." Like, okay, we get it. You're a lady, you're single, you're not seeing anyone... but seriously, try finding a guy without being so extra about it.
Yeah, it was pretty funny though. For example🙄
hmmmmm....let me think..........is it Taylor Swift or Beyoncé??🙂 🙂 🙂

Hehe... I don't know what you're talking about. That's exactly how he should look. 😁 🙂 😁

Lately, there's been this song by Taylor Swift playing on the radio all the time (I think she mentions the 😕 and some crazy little girl in the lyrics). Honestly, the track itself is a total disaster—not even worth mentioning. But I realized that the sample used in it sounds incredibly familiar.
🤣
loool😬 😬 🤣
And the worst part is, I didn't even catch it... I'll have to listen closer next time.....

...as for the style—that's a whole different story. A lot of people find van Sant way too slow and boring... my friends are pretty split on him. Personally, I dig it. Even though it's heavy "art house" stuff, there's a certain tenderness in how he handles his themes... I haven't seen Last Days yet, so I won't pretend to know, though Michael Pitt didn't strike me as the obvious choice for the lead role at first glance 🙂 but since Harmony Korine is involved, I'll give it a pass 😉
...btw, nice signature... I really love it 👍 though mine would probably be
...Overflowing senses, heightened awareness, I hear my blood flow, I feel its caress... Whispering cosmos, talking right to me, unlimited endless, God breathing through me...
...couldn't help myself—Depeche Mode is just the best... 🙏 🙏 🙏
👋
Yeah, true... I got so excited when I heard about the movie that I didn't even bother looking up what it was actually about... thanks for the signature! 😁 😁
Hey everyone, just wanted to let you know about the total disappointment that was the hyped-up movie about the Last Days of Kurt Cobain... the film is a complete disaster!! The only thing it has in common with Kurt is a slight physical resemblance between the lead actor (Michael Pitt??) and him, and honestly, that's it... I’d suggest anyone thinking about seeing this in theaters just wait until it hits the video rental stores so you can at least enjoy a cigarette while watching it...
