I was thinking about this last night after watching some old highlights. There's this weird, lingering bitterness that seems to follow so many legendary figures when they move from being the face of a club to being the guy in the dugout.

It always feels like there's a massive disconnect between the loyalty a person shows a team and the way the organization eventually handles the exit. You see these guys give everything to the badge, literally bleeding for it during their playing days, only to be treated like a temporary fix or a placeholder once they transition into management. It feels incredibly hollow when a long-term relationship with a fanbase ends on a sour or abrupt note because of boardroom decisions that have nothing to do with the actual spirit of the club.

Don't you think it's a bit disrespectful to the history of the sport when "legacy" players get the short end of the stick once they try to lead from the sidelines? Does the "business side" of things always eventually kill the sentimentality?

Taylor Booth2 said:Yeah, exactly... 😢 They were running so incredibly behind schedule, and the whole set felt far too rushed... the vocals were barely audible over everything else, and honestly, the sound system seemed like it was practically in a coma... even the best songs were cut short, which made the entire performance feel unrecognizable, almost like I was just watching some random tribute band instead...🤷 It’s such a shame...
That’s exactly why I feel this way... I think I'm going to go back and take another look at the cut, and if they mess things up one more time, I am officially done for good... 😠

Please, don't forget to let me know how everything went... 🙂

And what’s even worse is that if I end up heading to the Madison Square Garden show on April 2nd, my weekend is going to be an absolute mess... but then again, I won't even be able to make it to that concert after all... it feels so close, yet so incredibly out of reach..... sigh... 😢 😢 😢

Hey, I was wondering if anyone here is planning on heading to the concert in Chicago on April 4th? Also, does anyone happen to know how much the tickets are going for lately?
Man, I really wish I could make it, but I just can't... 😢 🙂

Here are some others that hit close to home... aside from Iron Maiden, who were really the ones to first introduce me to that whole world, the Ramones were almost my first too, and they'll always be my absolute favorites... 🙏 🙏 oh, and I actually picked up the bass myself, just a bit earlier than most... 😉

But honestly, when people finally ditch their heavy stuff for pop, you can almost hear everyone saying they’ve finally grown up and found some sense... 🙂
though what really gets to me is watching those "hardcore" metalheads or punks suddenly make the switch over to catchy pop tunes... 😂 so yeah, basically moving from 🤮Metallica🙂 straight to pop... 😱

Gosh, I’ve completely lost touch with the classics and opera lately... 😢 and then last night, I found myself watching Rigoletto...

I’ve been surrounded by electric guitars since I was just a little kid... my first real introduction to music was hearing Maiden's Clairvoyant, and I spent such a long time searching for it... I finally tracked it down back in fifth grade 🎉, but before that, it was all about Nirvana, the Ramones, The Beatles, and some old school stuff like S&G... once I hit fifth grade, everything shifted toward what I still listen to today—mostly punk, metal, and rock... then in sixth grade, I drifted into reggae, and by seventh, I was deep into the gothic scene... of course, I’m always discovering new bands, but my heart stays within those same circles... mostly metal, punk, grunge, and gothic, though I haven't forgotten the other genres entirely... 😁

My god... this is just the absolute worst...🙏

With that kind of money, I could easily put together a summer tour across Europe, catch three or four incredible bands, sightsee through different cities, and grab ten beers at every single pub along the way... she’s being completely unreasonable... paying that much just to watch some 70-year-old lady dance around and overdo her makeup...🙏 🙏

If you ever actually reach her level of success, then maybe we'll see... because honestly, she's better than a thousand of these young, clueless kids...

I don't really listen to much from that specific movement, though I feel like I know quite a bit about it... It honestly irritates me a little when people bring up the skinhead aspect, since they were never really my crowd, so it feels kind of strange to me how they ended up getting tangled up in the punk scene in the first place... It was a great move for them to unite the working-class youth and the whole crew, but there just seemed to be way too many stylistic details involved in everything... I've always been more drawn to street punk—which, if you think about it, used to be called Oi!—but street punk eventually branched out from Oi! as its punk alternative, just without all those skinhead elements... plus, the music itself is just much harder... 🙂

that woman is an absolute legend... there's really nobody out there who can touch her level...
I think I’d personally suggest checking out Kiss, Hendrix, and the Doors...
Brian Foster2 said:Well, man, if you're really into rock music that's packed with endless guitar solos, there might only be one or maybe two bands out there worth your time... ;P

Pearl Jam (I'd honestly suggest starting with their single "Alive," which matches your handle perfectly ;P), you'll probably fall in love with them instantly...

Alice in Chains - "Nutshell"

But let's be real, neither Alice in Chains nor Pearl Jam are strictly rock—they're definitely grunge... though I have to admit, they're incredible...
