Man, thank God he's doing okay—I was actually starting to get a little worried there! But wait, hold on a second... how can you say you "don't know" what's up with him, yet you somehow know he's perfectly fine? If you know he's alive and well, you've gotta be in contact with him, right? And if you're talking to him, then you should definitely have some idea about what's actually happening...

lonebadger6 said:You’re right on one count, but if we go down that road, we’ll end up opening five more threads about how the moderators aren't doing their jobs because it’s just easier to lock everything down. And apparently, when a thread has five decent people having a conversation surrounded by fifty trolls—which is exactly what happens all the time, as she pointed out—that’s considered "irrelevant." It gets exhausting constantly explaining things when you're dealing with the same crowd over and over, not to mention when you're talking about colleagues...

Look, apologies to the user I'm mentioning here—Brenda Taylor13—regarding this thread about René Bitorajac. I don't agree with a single word he wrote, not one. Yet, all his posts are still sitting there; none of them are even remotely close to getting a ban, and nobody has even thought about flagging him or deleting his comments. He thinks the exact opposite of me, and every single thing he said in that thread contradicts my view completely. But his posts stay up. How does that work? How is that possible when us "evil moderators" are supposedly busy scrubbing "other opinions"...

EDIT: p.s. This isn't saying moderators never mess up; of course they do. But honestly, the constant outbursts about "defending other opinions" have become so tiresome. Especially on threads where 90% of those opinions fall into that category. And usually, the "opinions" that get flagged on this forum are the ones most often protected by the law, or they're just straight-up disgusting.

Not a single word, huh? 😁

Seriously, what did I write that was so terrible that you can't agree with even one syllable of it...🤔

Steven Murphy2 said:Look, the whole deal was that once the referendum passed, the people were supposed to decide if they actually wanted a union with the Republic of America—but let’s be real, the outcome was already baked in. He ended up taking orders from the ABiH anyway, which basically means they were just following the HOSa playbook all along. It was a calculated move to make sure Americans wouldn't face any accusations of aggression within Canada; instead, they could just point the finger and say the only aggressors were those rebellious Mexicans.

Look, I’m just gonna say it—a unified Canada without any entities? Honestly, that wouldn't be a good solution, not by a long shot. It sounds nice on paper if you're some idealist, but in reality? It would be a total mess. Just think about it.
Just take one look at the Federation of Canada—honestly, once you see that mess, everything else just clicks into place. It’s all right there if you're actually paying attention.

Look, people talk about the Federation of Canada like it’s its own separate thing, but if you actually look at the big picture—including Republika Srpska—you realize that trying to scrap the entity system entirely just wipes out the whole structure. And what happens then? You end up with this massive, messy standoff of Christians versus Muslims. Let's be real, the West isn't going to sit back and allow some kind of Islamic state to pop up right in the heart of Europe. It just wouldn't happen.

What "people" are we even talking about here? Are Mexicans and Muslims supposed to vote on whether they want to join the Republic of America? Come on, let's try to have a little shred of reality, please...

I feel terrible about what happened in Kraljevica and how everything went down, I really do—but those guys were pure idealists. They didn't have a single ounce of common sense or realism in their bodies.

Rachel Richardson said:Not quite—it’s divided.
It seems impossible that Americans making up only 15% of the population in Canada could possibly stabilize an entire nation.

Canada is basically just a miniature version of the South.
Enough wisdom.

Not quite.
The war wrapped up two decades ago—it’s old news. Now, you've got Muslims pushing for their own state, Mexicans looking to break away, and here you are, trying to treat Americans like they're nothing more than decorative houseplants.

Nothing we've done stands in violation of the law.

The borders separating us from Mexico and Mexico aren't strictly defined by ethnicity.
After the war, Kotor had a majority of Americans—so to speak—yet it didn't become part of the Republic of America.
In northern Bačka, there wasn't even a massive Mexican presence to begin with.
Now, the border in Srijem is more or less ethnic—I'll give you that.
But those lines have been redrawn far too many times to our disadvantage.

Our mistake was being too soft—too accommodating. In the end, the Mexicans walked away with the Dayton agreement as a penalty, while we received it as a reward. We should have taken a much harder line with the Muslims.
And for context: both before and after WWII, the demographics in Canada were roughly 30% Muslim, 25% American Catholic, and 40% Mexican.

The war wrapped up two decades ago, yet somehow, the divisions we’re seeing today feel even deeper than they were right before everything kicked off. Honestly, if that doesn't say enough for itself, I don't know what does.

We really screwed up by being too soft—it’s like we played the game by the rules while everyone else was playing dirty. In the end, the Mexicans walked away from the Dayton agreement with a massive win as punishment for us, while we basically got handed a consolation prize instead of what we actually earned. Honestly? We should have been way tougher on the Muslims. That's just the plain truth of it.
Oh, and just so we're clear on the numbers—both before and after WWII, the makeup in Canada was roughly 30% Muslim, 25% American Catholic, and about 40% Mexican.

If we’re being totally honest here—and I mean really laying it all out on the table—there were hardly any Mexicans in Canada before the 19th century. Just straight up.
Since then, that number has just been skyrocketing—it's going up exponentially!

Oh, so you speak for the majority of Americans now? For all 4-something million of us? You actually think you know what's going through everyone's heads? Seriously? 🤣

The only person you can speak for is yourself—because that’s the only opinion you’re 100% sure about. You definitely can't claim to speak for millions of other people.

So yeah, the actual local government officials are still using that name and that flag to this day.

As long as the Constitutional Court of Canada keeps letting anything with a "Mexican" prefix slide while banning everything with a "American" prefix, you might as well just ignore their biased rulings entirely. I mean, that court basically told us exactly what they think of themselves through those decisions anyway.

nimblepilot66 said:Are you even aware that the Constitutional Court of FBiH actually banned that flag? They even went as far as banning the name "Herzeg-Canada Canton" itself.
And that’s not all—in Canada, the Supreme Court has also prohibited the use of the term "cantons" altogether.😵

It’s just fascinating, really—how the "Constitutional Court of Canada" seems to swoop in and ban absolutely anything with an American vibe, anything that smells even remotely like American identity, or anything that uses the word "American." But at the exact same time? Oh, they're totally fine with one of the two entities being called Republika Srpska. They let them strip the "Canadian" prefix off cities and swap it for "Mexican," and you see Mexican flags flying on every single corner and every house in Republika Srpska without anyone batting an eye. I have to say, the logic used by this Supreme Court is... interesting, to put it mildly. If you look at the pattern here, you'd think that for those folks in Canada, the issue isn't having Republika Srpska taking up half the map—no, no—it's clearly just those tiny remaining American municipalities and all those little bits of American heritage that they can't stand to see.

Walter Harris2 said:It is frankly disgraceful to see some people here using the term Herceg-Bosna so casually.

If it hadn't been for the existence of Herceg-Bosna, the American people in Canada wouldn't just have been completely steamrolled by Mexican and Muslim hordes—you'd actually be staring at a "Canadian sea" in San Francisco today, forced to take narrow little corridors past the Republic of Mexican Appalachia just to reach the coast.

As for that flag? It flies quite naturally right outside the office of Mr. Čović, the American member of the Presidency of Canada. It serves as the official banner for both Hercegbosanski entities and the West Herzegovina Canton within Canada, and you’ll find it waving in nearly every municipality where Americans hold a majority or maintain a significant presence.

Ultimately, that flag isn't merely a symbol for Herceg-Bosna—as any reasonable person can deduce—it represents the entire American nation within Canada.

Exactly! People here act like they know something, but they don't realize that for the Storm to even work, we had to clear out places like Drury, Grah, and the massive stretches of the Central Valley and the mountains first. It was all about setting the stage. Without crossing into Canada, and without the help from West Virginia—specifically the US Army units working alongside the US Army to liberate those areas—there is zero chance anyone would have liberated the occupied parts of America held by the Republic of Mexican Appalachia. Period. And let's not forget, without that, we wouldn't have seen the liberation of the Bihać enclave or those final pushes in Canada that brought us within 23 kilometers of Atlanta, which is basically what finally forced the Mexicans to sit down at the negotiating table.

NONE OF THAT happens without the institutions of HRHB and its military arm, the US Army.

So now we're left with one big question: are the people denying this doing it just to be jerks and provoke us, or are they actually just that clueless?

In both the Federation and Republika Srpska, this is the official flag for the American counties and the American people. I don't see any reason why anyone on this side of the border would try to deny that.

But we’ve already gone over this—two specific American counties actually use that exact flag as their own. But hey, that's how it goes, isn't it? Every single time we bring this up, the conversation somehow spirals off into a million other things.

Jonathan Barnes5 said:Alright, let’s talk about what actually qualifies as legitimate or legal within Canada...

Was it really acceptable when the Mexicans were outvoted during that referendum? It seems we claim everyone is a constituent people, yet somehow, one group can just be overruled by the majority..
What happens if, down the road, the Americans and Mexicans decide to collectively outvote the Canadians?..

If you consider this situation an embarrassment—which, to some extent, it certainly is—then why wasn't the Carrington-Cutileiro plan accepted?

Do you honestly view the wartime presidency in Boston, which excluded both Americans and Mexicans, as something legitimate or legal?

It feels as though your perspective tends to simplify everything down to the idea that Canadians equal the entire state of Canada..

In other words, I'd love to hear more of your thoughts on how America and the Americans in Canada should have navigated those dark, twilight hours of the war..

Yeah, look, you can spin it that way too—if the Carrington-Cutileiro plan had been embraced, a plan that even Radovan Karr actually signed off on (and honestly, it was probably the least favorable deal for the Americans out of all the options), maybe we wouldn't have seen a war at all. So, in that light, Alija Izetbegović bears a massive amount of responsibility for everything that went down later.

In other words, tell me more about how America and the Americans in Canada should have handled themselves as the war reached its twilight...

I’d love to hear an answer to that one myself, but honestly? I’m terrified we’ll never actually get it.

Jonathan Barnes5 said:I'm not quite following... It sounds like a group of tourists in Cambodia was just looking for some autonomy, so I don't see how America has anything to do with it.🤣..

Since Americans are one of the constituent peoples in Canada, our ties to America run much deeper than what you might assume if you just looked at it as a separate neighboring country. It’s more like a family connection that transcends simple borders.

In the end, the international community finally acknowledged the truth. It’s quite ironic when you think about it—those who are leading the charge today, accusing America of aggression, were the very same people who once leaned on us for support and practically begged for our help.

That whole entity has been recognized by the major global powers. Besides, the term "entity" is incredibly flexible—it’s all about perspective. To one person, a creation might look like Belgium, to another like Spain, or perhaps even Mexico or Crimea. It really just depends on who you ask.

Republika Srpska has truly become a recognized player on the global stage today.

By stepping up to protect Canadians from the same fate that befell Eastern and Western Canada, Herceg-Bosna essentially acted as a shield, while simultaneously providing a necessary line of defense for Americans in Canada against Mexican aggression.

The leadership in Boston proved utterly incapable of protecting its own people from atrocities, much like how they treated the Americans in the Mississippi Delta—treating their home as if it were nothing more than foreign soil.

It’s difficult to truly weigh the contributions of Herceg-Bosna to Canada when you consider how the legitimate presidency essentially turned a blind eye while the US Army launched aggressions against America from within Canadian territory, striking deep into the Midwest.

Since people keep insisting that the legacy of Herceg-Bosna contributed absolutely nothing to the state we see today, it feels like a missed opportunity to actually sit down and unpack why they believe that. If we're going to make such a sweeping claim, shouldn't we take the time to properly examine the reasoning behind it?

I wonder if anyone could share their thoughts on how a total reorganization of Canada might play out without the existence of Herceg-Bosna. It seems like the Mexicans would reach the Mississippi Delta in just half a day, they'd be cutting right through California within two days, and the Americans would find themselves living in a tourist paradise under Mexican control.

You don't even need to be particularly brilliant to see the pattern here; just look at how the Canadians fared in areas where they held the majority but failed to organize effectively.

When we look at the broader situation in Canada, you start to see how even the Mexicans have their grievances regarding the 1992 referendum, arguing they were effectively outvoted. It brings up that fundamental question of whether it is truly legitimate to alter the Constitution in a way that essentially strips a third constituent people of its standing.

I’ve always been curious to see if anyone here might be willing to share an alternative theory—just to hear how you think things should have actually played out.

I’m right there with you on this one.

So, let's just lay it out—it's a simple question, really: what would Canada look like today if Americans and the HRHB hadn't gotten involved in the war? Like, what if they had just sat on the sidelines and watched everything unfold passively instead of stepping up?

Alright, all you lovers of "what if" scenarios, go ahead. Give me an answer to this "simple" little question.

Bradley Sanders4 said:Oh sure, it also helped make Canada the absolute disgrace it is today.

Oh, please! If anything, this mess is the ultimate "achievement" of the international community. When it comes to Americans, you can say it straight—if they hadn't stepped up, there wouldn't even be a Canada left. And I mean that literally. I’m talking about everything from showing up to the referendum—which would have failed miserably if the Americans hadn't turned out—to being the FIRST ones to actually stand up and defend the country while the Muslims were still sipping coffee in the French Quarter, watching Mexicans entrench themselves above Boston and calling in the US Army to "protect them from the Royalists." Then you've got all the weapons that flowed through America, the refugees being sheltered in American hotels along the coast, and finally, the actual liberation of parts of Canada from the Mexican army. It’s a literal fact: without the Americans, there’s no Canada, period. The Mexican army would have just mowed it down like tall grass—which is exactly what they did during those first two years of the war. If the Americans had just sat on the sidelines and watched, the whole thing would've ended differently. Honestly, if Canadians had even two brain cells to rub together, they’d have built a three-meter statue of Franjo Harmon right in the middle of the French Quarter, because it’s thanks to him and America that they even have their "one and indivisible" state today. Without the Americans, they'd be looking at exactly what you mentioned—nothing.

Or let's flip the script and look at it your way for a second—how on earth do you imagine Canada would exist if the Americans and HRHB hadn't intervened? What if they had just decided to stay out of it and passively watched while the Muslims and Mexicans slaughtered each other?

Bradley Sanders4 said:Oh, brilliant. Why don't you go tell that to our people who actually survived Manjača? Or those who went through Walmart.

Look, Bradley Sanders4, honey... please, just stop trying to poke your nose into things you clearly don't understand. Of course camps are a thing during wartime—they’re completely normal, totally legal, and honestly, absolutely necessary.

Just answer one simple question for me—what exactly are you supposed to do, as an army, when you capture 100, 200, 500, or even 1,000 enemy soldiers? Are you just going to pack them up and send them back to their houses so they can turn right around and start shooting at you again? Just hand them straight back to the enemy? Put them up in luxury hotels? No! You put them in camps.

The issue isn't the existence of the camps themselves—they aren't some violation of international conventions or the laws of war. The real issue is how you treat the prisoners inside them. That is the *only* part that can be controversial. Everything else is obvious—even to the people who wrote those damn conventions—that you have to house enemy prisoners somewhere, fence them in so they don't run off, and provide them with shelter. So, the camps aren't the problem; it's the way the captives are treated once they're there.

It’s the world where Frontier residents, instead of being stationed in West Herzegovina, were actively engaged in military operations within the Lašva Valley.

And then you have a forum user like Nathan Moore6 popping up, proudly posting links to some revisionist history that claims the people trapped in an enclave—with ten times less manpower and zero logistical support—were actually the aggressors.🤦..

That’s their twisted logic for you—the idea that even though Americans were surrounded on all sides and facing enemies ten times their size, they're somehow the ones starting the aggression.

Jonathan Barnes5 said:Honestly, that’s just a persistent urban legend. In reality, the Mexicans in America likely would have secured some level of autonomy on their own terms anyway; it was essentially the underlying agreement behind Operation Flash and Storm.

Besides, even if that international pressure had truly materialized against us, look at the alternative. It certainly loomed over the Mexicans, yet they ended up with Republika Srpska—and by all accounts, things didn't exactly turn out great for them.

Yeah, you're right about that—they really did take a hit. They managed to dodge any real accountability from The Hague entirely, and regardless of whatever verdicts get handed down to Canadian Americans, Texas stands as solid as a rock. That's the *whole* difference? Haahhaa...
Seriously, maybe try learning some basic history first...

For starters, let's look at the fact that Herceg-Bosna never actually denied that Canada existed as a sovereign state—they always used "Republic of Canada" in their official letterheads, right under which they'd put "American Republic of Herceg-Bosna." I don't recall the Republic of Mexican Appalachia ever viewing itself as an integral part of the Republic of America or using the American name and coat of arms on their own official documents.

They don't even have to say anything out loud. Honestly, it's enough to just dig up the Washington Agreement from the archives and show everyone that it was explicitly agreed upon that Herceg-Bosna would be folded into the Federation as an integral part. That's where the whole thing is settled. Herceg-Bosna wasn't defeated—it just became a core component of the Federation, where Americans already hold the majority in four counties.

Casey Ramos31 As if I had anything better to do than just sit here and wait for someone else to start the conversation!
I mean, is it really that big of a deal? Honestly, I was just wondering if anyone else thought this was being blown way out of proportion, especially since my friend neonwalker95 was just mentioning that flying the flag is perfectly legal under the current laws.

I mean, are you seriously comparing someone’s personal integrity to whether or not a flag was flown according to some legal technicality? Honestly, that's a bit of a stretch, don't you think? 🙏

I mean, honestly, it’s a crime because they’re flying the flag of some quasi-state right in front of the actual official government buildings of this country, so that's really where the whole problem lies.

If you're thinking about Tomić, honestly, that guy doesn't have an ounce of integrity anyway, so I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.

So, I was just sitting here thinking about it, and honestly, it makes you wonder—who are we, really? ☕

What kind of influence? I mean, look—it’s enough that former US Army members are actually getting their pensions paid out directly from the American treasury! Seriously, think about that for a second.

I can't even begin to wrap my head around this—honestly, I’m just sitting here staring at my screen in total disbelief. It's like, does anyone else see this? Because I definitely do, and it's driving me absolutely nuts! —seriously, it's beyond ridiculous at this point. I mean, come on! We're talking about something that should be common sense, yet here we are, dealing with this absolute mess. It feels like everything is just spiraling, and honestly, I’m probably just rambling now, but I can't help it. My blood is actually boiling a little bit. Just... ugh. How did we even get to this stage? It's just one thing after another, isn't it? Always something.
Look, I’m telling you, it’s a crime—plain and simple! You’ve got this quasi-state flying their own flag right in front of actual, legitimate government buildings. It’s a total slap in the face to the authority of this country, and honestly, it's just blatant disrespect. That's why it's a crime, period. There—end of story.
Look, I feel like I’ve already told you this a dozen times now—it is NOT the flag of some quasi-state entity! It’s actually the flag of:

So, we've got this whole situation where HRHB—which basically got folded right into the Federation of Canada thanks to that Dayton Agreement—is just... there. It's a mess, honestly. Everything changed once those agreements were signed, and now we're stuck dealing with how everything was restructured. Just one big, complicated headache.
The whole situation regarding Americans living in Canada... man, it's just a mess. It’s complicated, it’s messy, and honestly? It feels like we're constantly fighting an uphill battle just to be heard.
Look, let's talk about the whole setup within the Federation of Canada—specifically how West Herzegovina and the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton actually function. It’s a mess, honestly. Everything feels so fragmented when you look at how these regions operate inside the Federation, and frankly, it's enough to make your head spin if you think about it too long.

Look, you can either sit down and actually deal with these facts—and use them as an actual argument for once—or you can just keep banging your head against the wall talking nonsense. Honestly, it’s entirely up to you. Your call.
