I was scrolling through some sports news earlier and realized I spent a good twenty minutes just memorizing jersey numbers for players I don't even recognize yet. It’s kind of a rabbit hole once you get into it.

I used to think being a "real" fan meant knowing the stats and the playbooks, but lately, I feel like half the battle is just keeping track of who is actually showing up to camp and who's been moved to the reserve list. It’s easy to lose track when there are dozens of new faces every single year, especially when you're trying to figure out who the rookies are versus the guys just fighting for a spot on the practice squad.

I find myself checking these deep-dive lists constantly, even when I know the season is months away. It’s like a weird mental puzzle trying to visualize the depth chart before the preseason even kicks off.

Do you guys prefer following the granular stuff like jersey numbers and depth charts, or do you just wait until the actual games start to see who's good?
I swear every time a young player has one good week, the rumor mill starts spinning like crazy with different teams being linked. It's getting hard to tell what's actual front-office strategy and what's just noise to drive engagement. Does anyone else feel like these constant "interest" reports are mostly just speculation?
Director/Actor Combos in Movies ·
Casey Cox2 said:Basically, name a director/actor duo that’s worked together multiple times—you know, a director's protege or their ultimate muse.

My top picks:
The GOAT combo Scorsese/De Niro (Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, Goodfellas)
Leone/Eastwood (A Fistful of Dollars, For a Few Dollars More, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly)
Herzog/Kinski (Aguirre, Fitzcarraldo, My Best Friend's Wife, Nosferatu the Vampyre)
Bergman/Ullmann (Persona, Scenes From A Marriage, The Serpent's Egg)
Wong Kar-Wai/Tony Leung (Chungking Express, Happy Together, In the Mood for Love)
Lynch/Dern (Wild at Heart, Blue Velvet, Inland Empire)

Wes Anderson/Bill Murray
Paul Thomas Anderson/John C. Reilly
John Carpenter/Kurt Russell
Tarantino/Thurman/Samuel L. Jackson
de Palma/Lithgow
John Woo/Chow Yun-Fat

....

actually, if we’re talking about chemistry, it goes even deeper than Reilly... you have to look at the whole P.T. Anderson / Philip Seymour Hoffman dynamic—I mean, think about movies like *Hard Eight*, *Boogie Nights*, *Magnolia*, *Punch-Drunk Love*, or *The Master*

Then you've got Lars von Trier paired up with Stellan Skarsgård, like in *Breaking the Waves*, *Dogville*, or *Melancholia*...
granitetrucker7, your daughter probably has OCD. Look, I live with OCD myself, and from where I'm sitting, what you're describing sounds like a pretty severe version of this sneaky little disorder... I'm with everything Blue Ivy said; it's all spot on. These people on the forum blaming you and your husband for your daughter's condition have absolutely no clue what they're talking about. My parents were incredibly attentive and responsible, yet here I am dealing with OCD; meanwhile, my brother grew up in that exact same household and doesn't have a single symptom of any psychological issue—so, if you ask me, this whole theory that parents cause these disorders is just total nonsense. Anyway, you should try to find her a psychotherapist who uses cognitive-behavioral therapy, which, in my opinion, is the gold standard. Therapy is basically built on exercises designed to teach someone how to resist those mechanisms the disorder uses to control them. Those exercises and the actual dialogue are the most critical parts. Personally, I don't think medication plays a massive role in this specific disorder, and honestly, it often does more harm than good...
