Looking for a specialist... in Health ·
Goranin Grmuša works solo—he doesn't have a sister helping him out—but he's a damn good diagnostician. He isn't exactly big on ordering every extra test under the sun, but honestly, I’ve only ever had positive experiences with him. When it comes to private doctors, he's always my first choice.
Dealing with hemorrhoids – any advice? in Health ·
Look, this isn't exactly breaking news. There’s nothing out there that works quite like Fact, so I don't get why people are making such a big deal out of just going to the doctor for a prescription. Hemero protect is just a cream based on beta-glucan, so take it or leave it depending on how much you trust that stuff.
Body acne help? in Health ·
Based on what my girlfriends have told me, the RF method actually works wonders for stretch marks. Plus, there aren't even any contraindications. 😉
I’ve had my bloodwork done—everything from immune panels to autoimmune markers and cryoglobulins. It was just one or two quick draws. Not exactly a traumatic experience, though I get why you wouldn't want to deal with it. It sucks.
It’s a fool's errand trying to predict how urticaria will play out. It could go either way. The only thing that actually matters is getting a solid diagnosis and ruling out other potential culprits first.
To make you feel any better, I dealt with cold urticaria about ten years ago—it was brutal, honestly one of the most uncomfortable things I've been through. But for the last five years? Practically nothing. Nothing at all. Unfortunately, my twelve-year-old daughter has started showing the exact same symptoms lately (though she’s been an atopic since birth, so I guess it wasn't exactly a shock).
It’s really not that big of a deal. Just Google Cholinergic Urticaria.
Reacting to this whole "gluten-infected" toothpaste nonsense sounds like a total hypochondriac meltdown. Honestly, it’s exhausting just listening to it. I actually suffer from this stuff, so I know exactly what I’m talking about. Good luck with that!
Are you showing signs of hypochondria? Do yourself a favor and actually read up on it. Self-diagnosing isn't exactly rocket science, and honestly, it’s a pretty common byproduct of untreated anxiety.
Redness and flaky skin in the groin area in Health ·
Canesten cream—I’m sure most of you have already dealt with this if you're struggling with yeast infections. If things don't start looking better after a couple of days, you need to go see a doctor. Period. It’s entirely possible you've developed a bacterial superinfection, which means you'll need a combined treatment approach to actually fix the problem.
Lozenges for sucking in Health ·
Nah, sucking on it is way easier for me. When I try to chew, it turns into this gross, sticky paste of baking soda that just clings to my teeth. If I just swirl it around, I don't have to deal with that mess.
Anyway, I don't actually know the answer to your question, so I'm not going to weigh in. 😉

melloworca6, good topic 😉 I've been wondering if you can just suck on it instead of swallowing it fast. It's an antacid that creates a barrier, like http://www.gaviscon.com/how-gaviscon-works.aspx. Honestly, the taste is pretty nasty, so sucking on it makes it way easier to deal with 🙂
What are these pills? in Health ·
The yellow one is what you found on Google.
I tried looking for the red one through this site, but nothing’s coming up, so I have no clue if it's even legal to use.

Here’s the manufacturer for the others, so go do your own homework 😬

Megan Williams6 said:The truth is, we don't all process things the same way. I know someone who spent the entire night partying, singing, and playing guitar at a blowout the very same day his mother passed away—before she was even cold... what else is there to say?🤷

Yeah, and? You’re acting shocked by that kind of extremism when you’re the one out here pitching the exact opposite.
At the end of the day, it’s the same story. I think everyone around you can see that you’re completely medicated and totally disoriented. It would actually be weirder if you managed to hide all of that from your own family and only vented about it here on this forum. Honestly, I have no clue what you're even looking for on here. You just spit out prejudices against anyone who tries to talk to you, and frankly, by what metric are you measuring how much someone loves their parents?!
Honestly, I don't need that in my life. Fight your own battles however you see fit. Besides, you can just act like a father figure to me if it makes you feel better.
Look, I’m sorry, but saying an 18-year-old "would have handled" a serious illness and their parent's death any better is just plain stupid. There are things you just HAVE to deal with on your own without dumping more weight on someone who is already fighting for their life and facing loss. That’s just how it works.
Look, I’ll say it, so go ahead and sanction me if you want: I can’t even wrap my head around what life is like for that poor woman. She’s exhausted by everything, she's in constant pain, and on top of all that, she has to deal with the crushing thought that her son won't be able to make it without her at his age. It's falling apart at the seams—living on pills and all that crap. When I was 18, I was composed enough to convince my dying father that everything would be fine with me. To me, that is the ultimate proof of love.
Honestly, I think you could really use some professional psychological help in any case. This is coming from a good place, btw.
melloworca6 said:It's the same here with the AST-O (strep titer). This Asta test is for staph; maybe the values are different, I've never actually had it done. 🤷

ahaaa, my bad! That's for staph!
That value looks weird to me. Back home, the reference range for this is usually around 200... and we're talking about beta-hemolytic Group A strep here, not some staph infection 😉

It’s the exact same story over here—the skin rashes, the itching, the runny nose, and that suffocating feeling... knock on wood, but it hasn't hit me in a while.
(Maybe I'm just not choking anymore, or maybe she's finally stopped getting under my skin 🤣)
