Struggling with bowel movements in Health ·
Thanks for all the advice, everyone! 😍 I’ll definitely be keeping it all in mind for next time. Especially that tip from ruggedscout91 about using apple cider vinegar. How on earth did I overlook such a simple fix?! 🙏

In the end, I just went out and grabbed some Metamucil fiber gummies... damn, they aren't cheap. $17 😲 😁

But hey, at least it worked. 🙂

rowdyotter65 said:For me, senna tea always gets things moving, but it takes a few hours to kick in. Another trick I use is boiled prunes—just let them soak in water for a bit, then pour off the liquid and eat the slimy flaxseed residue 😁 along with the seeds themselves. But honestly, none of this stuff works instantly.

Fair enough. I'm guessing I won't be sleeping much tonight if I want to be able to go in the morning.

Wait, am I supposed to boil the flax with the prunes? Or what?

Ugh, help! I haven't been able to go for a few days now and honestly, I feel like I'm dying.

I tried drinking that damn anise tea, but instead of acting as a laxative, it just shut everything down completely. I even did three workouts today thinking it might help, but still nothing.

And the pain is unreal. My lower back, my stomach, even my thighs (I know: 😕).

Anyway, I really need to get things moving tomorrow. Does anyone have a quick fix to get my digestive system working? Ideally something I already have in the pantry or can grab quickly at a CVS or Walgreens.

Thanks!!
Addiction struggles in Health ·
Adam Jones57 said:Is anyone here struggling with an addiction to alcohol, cigarettes, or drugs? Have you ever tried any of those things, and what’s your take on it? Why do you think young people fall into this trap, and how do you actually break free? Please let me know—I really need to help a friend of mine.

I smoke like a chimney, I'm hooked on caffeine like a toddler on a pacifier, I dabble with some heavier stuff on the side, and I have a drink almost every single day. That's been my routine for about ten years now. What's the big deal? Sure, my digestion is a mess, my kidneys are acting up, and my lungs aren't what they used to be, but so what? We all fall apart eventually. And honestly, how exactly are you planning to help her? You know how it goes... it's a long, hard road to recovery.
Am I normal for noticing things that don't seem right? in Psychology & Therapy ·
Rebecca Miller9 said:I was at a small gathering recently, mostly people aged 35 to 70.
While catching up with everyone, I mentioned that one woman in her mid-sixties looked incredibly fit for her age.
My reasoning was simple: I tend to notice things that deviate from the norm. For most women in their sixties, there’s a common expectation—or at least a stereotype—of dealing with various health issues, carrying extra weight, or lacking mobility and energy. Basically, you expect to see the physical toll of aging quite clearly.
My partner took offense. She’s 25, looks fantastic, and is honestly stunning, but she didn't just feel insulted; she’s convinced that I find older women sexually attractive.
She accused me of acting strangely, suggesting my comment was driven by some sort of sexual fixation. She essentially implied I have a "dirty mind," which has absolutely nothing to do with my actual thoughts or how I carry myself.
The worst part is that now she genuinely believes I’m attracted to women in their sixties...🤣.
I tried explaining that this is just how my brain works—I notice outliers, especially when someone defies expectations (something she has noticed herself many times to her own advantage). Her counter-argument was that I don't comment on young women, yet I singled out an older lady, which to her means I’m viewing these women through a sexual lens. My point was that beauty, vitality, and symmetry are expected in younger people; noticing them isn't special, it's just the baseline. It doesn't make them stand out any more than anyone else.

To give another example: if you ever watch local high school basketball games or even just see retirees staying active in a public park, you might see older guys who look impressively fit. They aren't overweight or immobile. It always makes me wonder what kind of lifestyle they maintained to avoid the physical decline most people experience. According to her logic, that observation alone makes me gay.

On a separate note, we’ve been together for seven years. At this stage, she should know me inside and out; I’m not the type of person to hide my opinions or keep secrets. Yet, she’s starting to throw broad, sweeping questions about our relationship at me.

To justify her claims about my character, she brought up my past:
1. A relationship I had sixteen years ago where I was 21 and she was 36. That lasted two years; every other relationship I've had has been five years or longer with women younger than me.
2. The way I comment on age gaps. I talk about older women at length, whereas with younger women, I might just say they're cute and leave it at that.
3. The fact that I frequently mention how older women are often very accommodating toward me.

I won't bore you further, but based on all of this, is my behavior actually twisted or pathological? Is there any truth to her accusations given the context I've provided?
Thanks for your input.

I have to wonder, would you actually consider her an "old lady" if that's how you're labeling her? 🙄

Well, I guess I'll just give it back.

Anyway, what about that thing I used to see on this forum—where the username wasn't a clickable link and it just clearly said "n/a" underneath? Is that what Joshua Martinez7 is talking about? Why can't we do that anymore? Or if it was never actually an option, where did I see it then?

Yeah, true. But there’s also my post history to consider. I mean, I know anyone can look at it, and honestly, let them. But when I’m aware that one specific person is digging through everything with a clear motive, it just feels a bit off.

Gary Williams47 said:Man... just put your birth year in there or something. You're starting to worry me. What if someone recognizes my style, tracks down my wife, and sends me a DM saying, "Hey, I know exactly who you are"? Between my profile and my messages, it wouldn't take much to connect the dots. And if I have to vanish overnight, good luck trying to prove who I was based on old posts and comments. Just use some common sense and be a decent human being for once.

Or if someone starts stalking you, like they're doing to me. 😱

I’d want to delete my account too. Since that isn't an option, is there any way to adjust my settings so nobody can track me? Not even other users? I need to be able to say goodbye to my lovely Megan Hill13 and, if I ever get the urge to come back (and I love this place, honestly—it's been my main digital hangout and I've had a blast... even with all my trolling 😍), register under a completely different handle. Given that this is straight-up harassment and a violation of both my digital and real-world privacy, I’m seriously asking for help. Please don't start with the "the internet isn't private" lecture. Trust me, I know. But when people start weaponizing that to target individuals, it becomes an attack on basic human rights.
gentlecanyon92 said:So, how does it look? 🤷

Is there any redness or a rash? Does the skin seem irritated at all? 🤔

Never had a rash, but it does look irritated sometimes. Not always, though—it’s more of an occasional thing.
nimbleheron2 said:I went through every single one of those symptoms myself. After months of testing, my doctor finally figured out I was dealing with an estrogen deficiency.
hormonal imbalances can trigger all sorts of uncomfortable stuff too.

Hey! You know, I actually considered the possibility that my hormones were acting up. Ugh... what kind of treatment did you end up on? Birth control? And how did your doctor actually land on that diagnosis?
hiddenscout362 said:oh my God 😲😠
just go see a private doctor and get all those swabs done if this current one keeps bothering you.

Everything seemed fine on my lab results until I insisted on getting specific swabs—they found ureaplasma and strep😲 even after I finished two full rounds of antibiotics—plus yeast infections🙄

Why on earth are gynecologists so stingy when it comes to ordering swabs?! 😠

Seriously? They're such idiots.🙄

@restlesstiger102/">@@restlesstiger102: If it’s a yeast infection, it’s a real nightmare. I'm telling you, I used Canesten (both the cream and the suppositories) and Monistat (that was the name of the gel!) and that awful sensation down there still came crawling back just a week later... sometimes it feels like a stinging or stabbing sensation through my vagina, my clit, or even my labia.

I was thinking about starting Lactobacillus; I heard those tablets are supposed to be great...
Since the start of the year, I’ve burned through at least two boxes of Kanest, on top of this new gel—I can’t even recall the name right now... To be honest, I’ve been suspecting Chlamydia or some other related nuisance for a while. But back when I actually had Chlamydia, the discharge smell was absolutely revolting. Now? There's no smell at all. Plus, I never dealt with the sexual issues I'm having currently. My clitoris used to function perfectly fine; now, it feels like it's nothing but raw nerves and pain.

Anyway, I'm gearing up for another checkup (🙄) at a private clinic. I was just wondering what kind of results or experience I should expect out of it... thanks, everyone. 🙂
I probably should have titled this differently, but honestly, I’m just feeling a bit lost right now.

Let's just say I've been dealing with dryness for over a year now. Along with that, there's this constant itching everywhere—the vulva, the vaginal opening, sometimes deep inside, even around the urethra and clitoris. My clit actually hurts, and it feels like it's lost all sensation. It's like it's just dead. On top of that, I get this dull ache in my lower abdomen and a frequent urge to pee, even though nothing much comes out. At one point, it was like I couldn't even start the flow, despite needing to go so badly. Right now, I'm sitting here trying to put words to the pain. Besides the abdominal ache, it feels like my vulva is being pressed against raw cotton; it's tight and uncomfortable. It's not the kind of pain that takes your breath away, but it's a persistent, nagging discomfort between my legs. To make matters worse, I have heavy discharge. Sometimes it's thick and milky white (varying from lumpy to a thinner texture), sometimes it looks yellowish like it's coming from the urinary tract, and sometimes it's clear. It never has a strong or weird smell, though—maybe just a faint scent like urine.

To make a bad situation even worse, I went to my gynecologist and he told me everything was perfectly fine. My Pap smear came back normal. He didn't think a swab test was even necessary. He basically just told me to find someone else who could satisfy me. So, that was my experience with him.

The absolute worst part is that because of all this, I don't enjoy sex or masturbating at all (actually, I can barely even masturbate because of the clitoral pain and numbness). It feels more like just rubbing than actual sex.

I really don't know what to do... if any of this sounds remotely familiar to anyone, I would be so grateful for some insight. Is this a urinary issue or a gynecological infection? And why are all my recent tests coming back "normal" when I clearly feel anything but...😢

fadedeagle39 said:We’re getting radical now! Look, I’m all for everything mentioned above—I don't see any light at the end of the tunnel either. But here's the thing: what if whoever comes next is even worse? It seems unlikely, since it's hard to imagine anyone being more corrupt than this lot, but still...? Auditing their assets, hitting them with the IRS... that would be a solid start, but we probably won't live to see it happen.

I'm actually down for some illegal resistance and striking fear into the hearts of these criminals in power. Maybe give them a little scare so they rethink whether staying in office is worth the headache.

Everyone hit the streets.🙂

The whole nicotine thing is actually pretty straightforward. You might not be mentally hooked on smoking—which is great, and I honestly respect that—but every single time you light up, you’re just retraining your body to crave that nicotine hit. Even if you're only having three cigarettes a week, you're essentially messing with your own biology. It takes about an hour for it to clear your system, but by constantly restarting that cycle, you're putting unnecessary stress on your body. From that angle, yeah, you're definitely doing yourself some damage.
Double chin issues in Health ·
I did some digging online and saw prices ranging from $2,000 to $20,000 😁. But that’s just general stuff for liposuction. I’m guessing a chin job would run me maybe $2,000 to $4,000. Who knows.

@restlesspanther1: Okay, look, I’ve got a little extra weight on me, but that has nothing to do with this tiny nuisance. Even when I’m skin and bones, it’s still there. Besides, I actually like my current weight, so if I were to suck the fat out of my chin, I’d want to make sure I keep this figure.

I read somewhere that it doesn't even hurt much; the only real downside is that they do it under local anesthesia. So, you basically just wear headphones and an eye mask 😁. I’m not quite crazy enough to sit there watching the whole thing 😲 or listening to it all 🙏. ljup:

I’m looking through these photos from CNN and every single shot of me looks absolutely wrecked because of my DAMN stepbrother!!! 😠 They actually suggested I get liposuction, and honestly, part of me wants to go through with it, but I’m terrified. Does it actually hurt? How long does the recovery look gross... stuff like that.
