MLS 2022/23 Season: Part 2 in Soccer ·
I can't stand people who throw the word "children" around just to manipulate an argument.
It’s all just a tactic for them.

Penalty for Slaven 🤦

If this call happened in the Premier League, the ref would be banned from England for life.

But our refs love calling penalties for every little thing, even if there's barely any contact. It’s their five minutes of fame in an otherwise mediocre career.

Slaven is a scorcher.

That one section of the stands can get baked pretty hard under the sun.

Even the Blue Brigade is ordering mixed grill at promo prices somewhere nearby.

Higher temperatures kill the virus, but it spreads much harder when it's warm out. That seems obvious enough.

wiredrider9 said:David Icke just had his YouTube channel wiped, his Facebook page gone, and now he’s doing a live interview
They scrubbed him from London Real—they even crashed their own site, so what’s the actual issue here? 🙄

I mean, look, the guy talks a lot of absolute nonsense, but man—censoring everything just because of one old dude? That’s wild.

Maybe he orchestrated this himself just to stir up rebellion and fuel the imaginations of his crazed followers.

I had some debates with vegans recently. My god, how warped their heads are.
You can't beat them with facts when they deny everything except whatever fits their narrative. It's totally selective.

The only upside is that they used to be frustrated and miserable, and now they think they've found enlightenment.
Even if they're living in a total delusion bubble, let them enjoy it. Just tell them to stop being aggressive about trying to "awaken" the rest of us.

Seriously, claiming veganism is the only right and natural way to live, yet there were 6 billion people on Earth long before that idea was even a thing.

They're just the hippies of the modern era.

I don't live in Washington, D.C., but I know that Cathedral has been under renovation since the first time I heard about it.

I remember seeing scaffolding on those towers 15 or 20 years ago, man.
Underwater (2020) in Movies ·
Bad movie, even worse acting, especially from Kristen Stewart.

I usually love this kind of stuff, but this was too amateurish to actually enjoy.
The Hunt (2019) in Movies ·
Fun movie.

The lead actress absolutely crushed it.

For its genre, I’d give it a solid rating.

I think warmer weather is a solid indicator that this virus will finally start dying down.

If it isn't spreading like wildfire in those massive, crowded cities where everyone has compromised immune systems, then it won't spread here either.

Happy Easter, everyone.

There’s plenty more football to come in our lifetime.

FC Barcelona has no idea what's coming for them.

Matthew Young35 said:Try explaining that to the people who actually need to pass away.

Just walk up and tell them, "Hey, could you please die so I don't miss out on everything life has to offer?"

I'm sure your grandmother would just slap you upside the head and say, "Oh, you sweet child, fine, I'll go ahead and die so you don't have to suffer for my sake."

Who's saying Grandma is definitely going to die or even catch it?
And who's saying she won't pass before someone else does?

Because of that 5%, everyone else stays alive, but they aren't really living. They're just waiting for the hard times predicted in every projection.

You don't have to judge immediately. Just look at it from another perspective.

People usually say that prolonging life is just prolonging the agony.
Emotionally and financially.
In terms of time and energy.
Looking at it rationally.

It’s all just to keep the working population locked up for who knows how long.
All of us younger people—not necessarily young, just active—are losing chunks of our lives. We're being robbed of experiences, not just right now, but for everything that comes next.

https://ourworldindata.org/births-and-deaths

I read a bit when I can. That's about it.

Back in 2015, 57 million people passed away.

Let's put this into perspective.

This year, we'll see the usual number of deaths predicted—assuming that number climbs as the population grows—minus whoever caught COVID before they died.
The rest don't matter; we wouldn't want them messing up the statistics for the biggest modern epidemic on Earth.

This virus is just one catalyst. Every virus and bacterium is dangerous to the elderly with chronic conditions. Then you have those tiny outliers—the "young" or "healthy" cases that always make the news for the sake of a headline.

Just one or two European countries have more infections than all of India, Africa, South America, and the southern Asian nations combined.

Temperature doesn't matter here.

So, what kind of penalty are we actually looking at for those people who were just sitting there drinking coffee?

Feel free to summarize it a bit; nobody's going to sit through 36 minutes.

Anthony Jackson2 said:The important thing is that tomorrow everyone will show up with mortality statistics—as if anyone cares how many people are infected, or how many we've already buried.

Since I have plenty of free time, I've been doing my own research.

Viruses mutate every year, and new ones pop up constantly.
They infect millions globally and take out the most vulnerable.
That's just natural selection—or nature's attempt at it, since we actually try to defend ourselves now.

Most sick people pass away because some virus or bacteria finishes them off after a previous illness has already wrecked their immune system.

But this year, they decided to make a huge scene about it, running endless tests and tracking statistics for this new virus.

But then again,

the government shut everything down because of Coron, the women are calling for help, and these guys are just saying, "you sound fine to me."🤣

Meanwhile, there are barricades on the roads. And spikes.🙏

ironpanther5 said:It's a decent theory, but I’m going to have to disagree. Sure, corporations have their own agendas, but this isn't some Hollywood thriller. The giants dominate specific industries; there's no way some local entrepreneur is actually threatening their bottom line. And even if they were, they'd just buy them out in a heartbeat.

The real issue here is that because of the COVID-19 fallout, there's just no money left in the budget. Well, unless you're a government bureaucrat looking for a paycheck, but that’s nothing we haven't seen before.

Buying out one company isn't the issue. Buying out thousands is.

Think about the sheer amount of effort, wasted time, paperwork, and red tape required to swallow up thousands of businesses.

That's the other problem. Everyone wants to be their own boss now, and large corporations are finding it harder and harder to find workers.

ironpanther5 said:Could you please walk me through this? I have a feeling I’m in for a long read. Who exactly are these "reckless individuals" and who are the "ultra-wealthy," and how exactly are they losing their monopoly, how does that loss manifest, and what is their ultimate endgame here? 🙂

Probably just regular citizens.

More young people are starting businesses, which forces large corporations to decentralize.
Money is being spread out more, and the people in power don't want that—not in any country.

Now they have excuses to stop providing incentives for new small businesses for who knows how long.

But no matter what I write, you're going to mock me.

Enjoy staying home.
Offside Chat Archives (2014-2021) in Soccer ·
It looks to me like one reckless individual has become a bit too powerful for the taste of the ultra-wealthy. They’re starting to lose their monopoly over everything, and they want to restore the balance.
