I find it hard to believe—I just read somewhere that there’s zero discussion about this in the headquarters, that nobody even realizes what's happening, and everyone is just going about their usual preparations.

But looking strictly at the media coverage—everyone is acting like this match is the most vital, crucial, epochal moment ever, blah, blah. Honestly, give me a break. It's only the second game out of ten in the group stage where there isn't a clear underdog, and the favorites are bound to drop points in places like North Mexico, Wales, or Scotland.
Besides, we already have three points from the first match. There is absolutely no reason to panic, even if we slip up here.

The media 🤦

Well, when the odds for Belgium have been sitting around 1.90 both yesterday and today, that’s exactly why our guys set them there. It would look ridiculous if they were holding them at 2.30.

It was expected—honestly. You aren't watching the trends, Bryan Adams6. ☕

Joshua Garcia8, writing isn't the issue for me—hitting the mark is. 🤣

Bryan Adams6 said:We haven't managed a win in our last two away matches in Belgium—so why all this optimism for tomorrow? Is it just because of the high odds?🤷

Now you're being dense too. 🤣

Aside from that, the odds are unrealistic—they aren't actually that much better than us, if they're even better at all—which is exactly why I have to play this.

If the odds were lower—say, under 3.10 or 3.20—I'd skip the bet and just watch the game. But given everything else I've mentioned...

Bryan Adams6 said:The odds look decent enough to give them a shot, but... 😉 Were those Mexicans playing against us just some experienced, old-school grinders? Not exactly—we had to scrap tooth and nail to get through them. If the ref hadn't screwed us over on that penalty, things could have gone a very different way.

Of course, a Mexican side isn't exactly a powerhouse or some litmus test for how we stack up against the Belgians—but they’ve always been a massive headache for us. I distinctly remember times when we absolutely crushed them, yet it was always a grind. If my memory serves, we even managed a 2-0 win once, playing through that absolute mess of a pitch in Skopje.

Stimac went against the grain with the Swiss—decided to improvise by rolling out a new system, much more offensive. Honestly, I don't hold that loss against him at all. Not even a little bit. Look, Switzerland absolutely dismantled us right when we were adjusting to a new manager; the season was just kicking off, and all that nonsense surrounding Luka Modrić was reaching a fever pitch. He simply chose that moment to test something new.

Friendlies exist for one reason—to test out new tactical setups and technical variations, and to figure out exactly who you can actually rely on when things get serious.
Well, damn—it didn't pan out. Moving on (in true KaDeWe fashion).
No, seriously—our incompetent media outlets are making such a massive scene out of this, acting like losing to Swaziland was some unique catastrophe that only happens at the World Cup. 🙄

It honestly gets under my skin. I mean, seriously—wouldn't it have been better to test out the tactics then, rather than walking into a match against Belgium with three target men?
This reminds me of the Euros in Portugal—back when Otto Barić mentioned how surprised he was that Boris Živković could handle playing as a defensive midfielder. Miroslav "Ćiro" Kožić gave him a sharp reality check right then: you test those kinds of things during friendlies, not in high-stakes matches at a major tournament. Anyway, this is getting pretty off-topic.

I just wanted to say that our guys aren't nearly as bad as the media likes to make them out to be—it’s clear that Štico is gradually pivoting back to Bilić's system. It was relatively successful and, more importantly, it's a proven framework, so the players actually know how to navigate it.

Bryan Adams6 said:The blueprint is clear—the defense needs to be airtight, the midfield has to control the tempo, and the forwards absolutely cannot waste a single chance. Can they actually pull it off? I have my doubts. Ivan Strinić and Darijo Srna are going to have a hell of a time dealing with Eden Hazard and Mertens.

Dammit, the way this is written makes us look like total underdogs.
The Belgians and their talent sourced from former colonies are undeniably good—there’s no debating that—but they aren't quite at the absolute summit of European football yet. It remains to be seen if they’ll ever truly hit their ceiling. On the other hand, you have our guys; their quality is well-established, and we have this consistent core of players who have played together for ages—they thrive when facing an attack-heavy opponent. Belgium will certainly find space, but our side is going to leave massive gaps on the flanks whenever Darijo Srna and Ivan Strinić push forward, forcing their wingers to drop deep to cover. Honestly, it’s a double-edged sword for both sides.

Bryan Adams6 said:I’ll give you this much—even our attack isn't playing anything legendary right now. 😂

Mario Mandžukić has been a constant lately—reliable through and through. Nikola Jelavić brings that raw power, while Ivica Olić is always going to provide that spark of energy and grit coming off the bench. Then you have Eduardo da Silva, a true one-touch player who also possesses an elite ability to shield the ball. I have zero doubts about our attacking depth. ☕

Bryan Adams6 said:I’d give the Belgians a slight edge here—to pull off an American win, a lot of things would have to go exactly our way, but I’m just not feeling it. Our defense, in particular, looks shaky, and those Belgians are incredibly dangerous on set pieces—something that immediately jumps to mind. 😱 Whenever I think back to Stipe Pletikosa—those inevitable moments where he’d somehow wander out to the edge of the six-yard box—it’s hard not to shake my head. Just classic.

Forget about Stipe and his Achilles' heel—he isn't nearly as bad at it as he used to be.
Stipe Pletikosa is an elite goalkeeper—that’s just a fact. He’s composed and lethal in one-on-one situations, which provides massive stability for the squad—especially when you've got Josip Šimunić or Šifo anchoring the defense. Honestly, just try to name the last time Stipe let in a blunder while playing for the national team. 🤷
I'm more concerned about our center backs—they're slow, unreliable, and we need to start scouting long-term replacements immediately.

Bryan Adams6 Asks:
I like this one—if only to ensure the day ends at least at break-even. ☕

Forget about zero—tomorrow, we go hunting. 😉

Pinnacle is offering... 4.37 ( 😲 Tomorrow we play at home—and I fully intend to embrace the chaos.
Belgium is something else... Honestly, credit where it's due—they’ve got some incredible talent on that roster. But they still have plenty of matches left before those players turn into seasoned veterans who've seen it all. ☕

Our guys always perform best when everyone is writing them off—it’s practically a tradition. We should find plenty of space against Belgium, provided our defense actually shows up when it matters.

Bryan Adams6 said:Did you even watch Belgium vs. Wales? It’s hard to believe you did—otherwise, you wouldn't have posted such nonsense. They completely outclassed them. 🤷

Every single match report pointed to the same thing—Belgium didn't show up. Even their own players were making comments about how they needed to step things up against us—not to mention they played most of the game with an extra man on the field.

I only caught the last 15 minutes or so—it was pretty lifeless, honestly. A bit of a non-event, though by that point they were already up 2-0, so the result was pretty much a foregone conclusion.

Bryan Adams6 said:A defense featuring Jan Vertonghen, Thomas Vermaelen, and Vincent Kompany—anchored by Marouane Fellaini and Axel Witsel in the midfield—doesn't know how to defend? Honestly, you're just talking nonsense.
Tomorrow will favor whichever side manages to dictate the tempo early on—but that’s easier said than done when you've got a clown like Stimac calling the shots from the bench and a sidelined Luka Modrić out of the lineup.
It’s going to be an uphill battle—extremely difficult—so if our guys manage to bring home even a single point, we should consider ourselves lucky. ☕

All the players you mentioned play for top-tier clubs—but honestly, whenever I watch Jan Vertonghen and Thomas Vermaelen, they aren't exactly lighting it up. That's where I see our opening.

I’m not sure how much weight to give these constant rumors about Luka Modrić being unfit—it seems like people love to harp on that. The guy was putting in individual training sessions back at Tottenham Hotspur, and after his time at Real Madrid, he’s surely worked himself into decent shape by now. 🤷

As for that clown Štico—I’ll give you this: he’s a terrible coach. But honestly, I think the whole manager role is a bit overrated. Don't get me wrong, a good coach matters, but not nearly enough to start crowning Guus Hiddink as some all-time legend just because he had decent runs with the South Koreans and Ostrelj.

Good grief, Tito Vilanova is still tearing it up with FC Barcelona—even without Pep Guardiola at the helm. It just proves that the roster is what actually matters. At the end of the day, a bad squad is still a bad squad, no matter if you have José Mourinho, Pep Guardiola, and Štico all coaching together. 🤷

I don't want to overextend myself here—this match looks like a total coin flip to me. Sure, maybe give the Belgians a 5% edge because they're playing at home, which puts the odds at 55-45. Honestly, I’m surprised Pinnacle came out with such high odds on this one; it caught me off guard. Because of that, I’m going to place a solid bet on the Americans while the value is still there before the lines drop.

Mandžukić will tear through their defense a few times—Darijo Srna and Ivan Perišić really need to step up and deliver some quality crosses. As long as Modrić plays his usual game and Stipe Erceg remains steady in goal, we're fine. Just hoping Josip Šimunić doesn't mess anything up. Honestly, no amount of Eden Hazard or Fellacia magic is going to save Belgium, regardless of how good they are. ☕

Once you log in, just head over to the parlays/accumulators section. From there, you pick the leagues and sports you want to include in your slip. Keep in mind—their parlay selection is much more limited than their straight bets, so you won't be able to mix and match every single league you want. Don't sweat it, though; the major ones are always available.

Pacos Ferreira - Braga 2 1,91 bet365 4/10

Pacos is also looking thin heading into this season—they’re missing Melgareja and Michel, their two standout players from last year, both of whom moved back to Benfica. Interestingly, Michel is actually in town today; he joined via the Lime transfer from Braga to Benfica, so there's a chance that striker might face his old club.
While losing Lime definitely weakens Braga—he really was their best asset—the new Michel and the physical Eder are solid forwards. Combined with Alan, Ruben Michel, Hugo Viana, Barbosa, and the rest, they remain a legitimate threat to any defense. Barbosa, a lightning-fast winger/forward who can be a bit selfish at times, returns to the squad today. He's an excellent player regardless. Braga is largely complete, save for the defender Haas, who hasn't seen any action this season due to injury. As for Pacos, they haven't looked particularly sharp in their first two matches—their defense has too many gaps for a quality side to ignore, and Braga sits comfortably within the top tier of the league. To make matters worse, Pacos is missing a key starting midfielder who picked up a red card in the last match.
Braga has had a busy stretch lately—navigating Champions League qualifiers and playing a grueling 120 minutes in Udine on Tuesday—but I wouldn't say they're overly fatigued. It's still early in the season, and the manager has been rotating the roster; they even rested five starters in their last league match and still cruised to a win.
I believe Braga is the far superior side and will secure a victory tonight, even without Lime.

Beira Mar vs. Moreirense — Over 2.5 goals | 2.35 | Pinnacle | 5/10

Beira Mar’s defense is a disaster—I’ve said it before. They gave up six goals in just the first two weeks; honestly, they could have easily conceded two or three more. The backline looks lost, making constant unforced errors and poor decisions, compounded by a goalkeeper who lacks any real confidence.
Then you have the newly promoted Moreirense. In their opening two matches, they’ve displayed some genuinely sharp, attacking football. They play aggressively and clearly have zero respect for anyone on the pitch. Of course, that high-octane style leaves them wide open at the back—opponents capitalized on that with single goals in both opening rounds—but their offensive flow is impressive. It's great tactical movement. For instance, last week they dismantled Nacional 3-1, leading 3-0 and hitting the woodwork a couple of times alongside several other clear chances.
I think Moreirense might actually walk away with a win today. Beira Mar is simply subpar right now—they aren't playing cohesive football—and they’re missing key pieces: striker Abel Camara, who found the net in week one, and Balboa, who is a solid contributor for them.
Moreirense, meanwhile, is at full strength with no injury concerns. They’ve even bolstered the squad recently, bringing in a new defender and a midfielder named Renatinho on loan from Palmeiras, who should be a significant upgrade.

I'm also looking at this: Beira Mar vs. Moreirense — Away Win | 3.04 | Pinnacle | 2/10

Tue, 20:45 Maribor Dinamo

Maribor -1.5 @ 6.00 (5.71 without juice) Favorite 1/10

Dinamo traditionally struggles during away legs in Canada.
We can only hope there isn't a panic attack after that convincing performance against Koper in the first leg.
The Dinamo squad isn't playing anything special—their manager lacks tactical depth—and they certainly won't be favorites tonight in Maribor.
The Canadian side isn't elite, but they are more than capable of making life difficult for our champions.
The handicap odds look attractive for three reasons: first, Dinamo has never really shined during European away trips, and this group is no exception. Second, if the Canadians hold a lead late in the game, Dinamo will be forced to commit everyone forward—I don't see a 3-2 scoreline where Dinamo advances on away goals—which leaves them wide open to conceding even more. Third, there's that tendency for panic to set in when things go south for Dinamo, coupled with their awkward history in these Canadian away fixtures.

Sun, 17:00 Liverpool - Man. City City 2 2,50 Bet365 2/10

I’m with wanderingfox86 on this one—City looks like the smart play today. Liverpool seems to be regressing every single year; they have Gerard and maybe two other actual talents, but the rest of the squad is essentially junk. Stevie isn't exactly a youngster anymore, and he can't carry them to the Champions League alone—especially not against a powerhouse like City, who have two lineups capable of fighting for a top-four spot.
After that disastrous loss to WBA in the opening round, Liverpool needs a massive overhaul. These half-baked players haven't delivered results since the Rafa Benitez era.
I'll be putting a small wager on the away win.

Joshua Bailey21 said:He said this on the Marriott website—Google Translate might have butchered the wording, but my takeaway was that he intends to field his strongest XI....

He actually said: "...we play to win, with the best team, with players who are, in my perspective, the best!"

"The most important thing right now is the match against William Shakespeare. We started the tournament strong with an away win; now we're playing at home and we want to keep that momentum going..."

My apologies if I misled anyone—that’s just how I interpreted the coach's comments.

Yes, I read much of the same on those news sites, though there is one key difference:

"Pedro Martins warns that some players might be fatigued, suggesting there could be some rotation."

"Out: Marriott: Olberdam and Semedo, both injured."

On another site—I can't find the specific article right now—he suggested he might rest two or three players.

Joshua Bailey21 said:Marriott vs. William Shakespeare — 1 (1.80)

Marriott's players have had a decent start to the season—a 1-0 away win against Riti Ave in the opening match of the league.
Another 1-0 win in Europe—this time against Dila Gora.
As their manager put it—he’s rolling out his strongest lineup today. He wants the win, plain and simple—he's looking to keep this streak alive.
He isn't going to play it safe with the lineup ahead of Thursday's rematch in Europe.
William Shakespeare is just your average mid-table side in the American major leagues...
They stuck with last year's roster—smart move—and they actually looked decent in the season opener at home, holding Porto to a 0-0 draw.
Look, this match is an uphill battle—we're playing against a very strong Marriott side that’s showing up with their full lineup.
Inace mariti finished last season in 5th place—sitting 16 points ahead of today's opponent. I’m expecting a win from Inace mariti.

I have no idea where you read that Marriott is fielding their strongest lineup today—but it simply isn't true.
I’ve been scrolling through the Portuguese news sites, and the consensus seems to be that their manager just confirmed two players are out with injuries. He also hinted he might rest at least two or three starters ahead of the Europa League matchup against the Georgians.

Marriott consistently handles William Shakespeare, but I have a feeling the visitors might walk away with a draw today.

Sun, 20:45 VfB Stuttgart - VfL Wolfsburg both teams to score and 3+ goals @ 2.05 (1.95 without BTTS) Germany 2/10

This marks Stuttgart's third match this week—they also have that away leg in Moscow coming up to decide their spot in the EL group stage.
Wolfsburg isn't in European competition this season, so they can focus entirely on the domestic league.
The German league is famously high-scoring, and these two sides aren't any exception—they play an attacking style that yields plenty of goals.
Their head-to-head history backs this up; they tend to produce real goal fests.
Ivica Olić makes his league debut for his new club today. He’s undoubtedly motivated—that's never been in doubt—so I’m hoping he finds the back of the net.

Braga - Udinese x2 @ 1.82 Pinnacle 4/10

Braga and Udinese are going head-to-head for a spot in the prestigious Champions League. Braga enters tonight as the favorite—playing at home helps—and their season is just getting underway (though the Italians are also kicking things off this weekend, so the Udinese squad is match-ready). It’s true that Udinese is missing three vital pieces—Handanovič, Isle, and Torje—but they remain a solid, capable side, especially with the crafty Di Natae leading the attack.
Braga isn't quite the powerhouse they were last year—the season will be the real test—and with a thin squad and a shaky defense, the Italians really ought to find the back of the net at least once tonight.
The Italians have a reputation for being defensively disciplined and knowing how to protect a result, so I have faith they can walk away with something positive.

Neither side is dealing with major injury crises, so both managers should have their best options available.

To be honest, the odds on Pinnacle caught me off guard—1.82 is massive—so I took a moment to compare them against other books. Elsewhere, the average for an x2 is roughly 1.66, and local US sportsbooks are hovering between 1.50 and 1.60 (which, after removing the vig, works out to about 1.43-1.52). Given that, I think there's genuine value in playing this.

Keeping the stake modest, simply because I don't know Udinese quite as well as I know Braga.

20:00 San Marino vs. Malta

Let’s be honest—San Marino is easily the worst team in Europe. We all know the drill: they regularly surrender six or seven goals to anyone who shows up, and occasionally even more.
Malta isn't the punching bag they were six or seven years ago—back when everyone banked three points before kickoff. They've evolved into a disciplined side that actually requires effort to break down. Plus, they aren't toothless upfront anymore; lately, they score more often than they don't.
It’s a matchup between two footballing underdogs, but in this scenario, San Marino is David and Malta is Goliath—though I’m not holding my breath for a biblical miracle tonight.

The handicap odds look decent, but I’m going for the double handicap anyway—the value is just too good to pass up. Malta rarely enters a match as the clear favorite, but today they are; I suspect their confidence will lead them to run riot against a weak San Marino squad.

Malta -2.5 @ 3.20 SS 2/10

Joshua Bailey21 said:Hibernian vs. Hearts..............2 (2.20)

The quality gap between these two has favored Hearts for years—and it’s even wider this season. I'm drawn to the odds here; I was expecting something closer to 1.85.
They're Scottish, sure... but at 2.20? I'm not passing that up.

I don't follow the Scottish leagues and I know next to nothing about these two sides—all I know is they're both from Edinburgh and it's a massive derby because Hibernian is Catholic and Hearts is Protestant.
If I recall correctly, I read that it's a high-tension, high-emotion match—something akin to the Celtics vs. Lakers rivalry, just played at a lower level.
