Vitoria Guimaraes vs. St. Etienne | 2 @ 2.40 | DraftKings 2/10

Guimaraes is dealing with some key absences—including Soudani, who most of us know—and they haven't exactly bolstered the squad with much depth. They aren't exactly a powerhouse.
http://www.transfermarkt.de/en/vitor...rein_2420.html

On the other side, St. Etienne has been fairly active. They’ve moved some talent out, sure, but they've brought in solid reinforcements to compensate.
Since this is their final preseason friendly before they hit the UEFA qualifiers in a week, the manager has signaled a serious approach—expect a heavy lineup with plenty of players seeing the full 90 minutes.

The value on the away win is decent enough. I'll take a small position.

Fernandes to score @ +100 DraftKings 3/10

DraftKings and FanDuel have created a massive gap in the odds for this matchup—FanDuel has him at -115—and since Fernandes is confirmed in the starting XI tonight, there's value here. He’ll be playing with plenty of freedom. Given that the Galaxy are expected to run riot against San Jose and potentially drop five or six goals, it stands to reason that Fernandes—who consistently finds his way into scoring positions this season—will get his piece of the action. 😁

Pacos Ferreira - Newcastle 2 @ 2.35 Pinnacle 3/10

Following last season's historic run—finishing third in the top flight—Pacos has seen plenty of interest from wealthier clubs. It’s cost them dearly; they’ve already lost four or five key starters to decent sides like Sevilla, Malaga, or Benfica. A few more are expected to sign elsewhere any day now, which means they won't be available today.
As a result, Pacos has brought in a wave of new faces—most of whom are relatively unknown.
There's the inevitable issue of chemistry—it remains to be seen if this new group actually has the quality to compete.
To make matters worse, the manager who pulled off that miracle in Ferreir is gone. He's been replaced by the inexperienced Costinh, who still needs to prove he can translate his playing talent into coaching.
This is bound to be a long road for Pacos. Based on the data I've tracked, this is their first preseason friendly, whereas Newcastle is already heading into their third.

Newcastle is a solid Premier League side. They haven't had major movement in terms of transfers, suggesting a settled, cohesive squad—plus, their own site reports only two players are unavailable for today.
If they approach this with some seriousness, I think they should take it, despite the match being held in Portugal.
That said, it is just a preseason game—the stakes are low.

Eric Fox7 said:LA Galaxy 1 @ 1.20

Beyond their explosive start to the season, they always seem to play well against the Los Angeles Lakers—who, frankly, played a criminally good game against the New York Yankees recently. Plus, there's definitely a desire to settle the score after last season's cup exit.

A quick note:
Jurčić mentioned several lineup changes to give the starters some rest.
That means Kramarić will be starting from the first whistle, and the sportsbook is offering 1.90 odds for him to find the back of the net.
He’s a bit stingy, sure, but he should get plenty of service—so he ought to score at least once.
We all saw how much "quality" the Los Angeles Lakers showed in last week's match against the New York Yankees, so this should be an easy win for LA Galaxy. The standout player on this massive favorite should be able to make something happen. 🤷

Kramarić scores @ 1.90 Sportsbook 3/10

Folo Esch - Real Madrid yellow card in both halves @ 1.80 HL 3/10

This is an HL exclusive—the pick of the day. The odds feel a bit too generous to me, especially considering this matchup between the footballing Liliputans and a side with genuine European pedigree. The Luxembourgers are going to sit deep and defend desperately—likely resorting to some heavy challenges to stop the Real Madrid players—and the refs aren't going to miss those.

Antolić to score @ 2.50 PSK 2/10

Antolić has a dangerous long-range shot, which will be vital today given the expected defensive bunker from the home side. He’s always been clinical in the box—he showed that back when he was at Lokomotiva. The price is decent; there should be goals, and Antolić loves to test the keeper.

Otherwise, there are some steady options in Favorite to Kramarić and Halilović not to score, 1.35 and 1.30.
I won't touch those, but they aren't bad if you're looking for a casual flyer.
Neither is in the starting lineup—the Crown coach has signaled he's playing his strongest XI.
Kramarić has mostly been a late sub lately, and Halilović hasn't even seen much pitch time.

urbanhawk17 said:Double Chance: NK Lokomotiva 2 @2.1 SS

Both squads are fairly fresh, but looking at the NK Dragovoljac roster—especially their coach—I have my doubts about them walking away with even a single point. Despite losing several players, NK Lokomotiva remain heavy favorites here; I expect them to pull away comfortably. 😁

I've been doing some reading on these teams, and the outlook for NK Dragovoljac isn't exactly bright. They’re running a very young squad, they haven't added any reinforcements since last season in the second tier, they're short on cash, and their preseason form was lackluster. It feels like an immediate relegation scenario—at least for the first stretch.

Since Antolić and Andrej Kramarić left NK Lokomotiva, Šitum steps up as the primary option, and he proved last year that he can be quite dangerous.
The odds at PSK for him to score a goal are high at 2.70, so I'll take that shot.

Valletta vs. Fiorita home team scores in both halves @ 1.60 DraftKings 3/10

As I noted before the first leg, the Maltese side cruised to a comfortable 3-0 win over a modest squad from San Marino. Now comes the return leg—I expect Valletta to make this even easier playing on home soil.
The odds are slim, naturally—nothing unexpected there—but I see decent value at DraftKings for the home side to score in both halves. It’s a solid proposition.
I actually watched the final 20–25 minutes of that first match. Look, we're talking semi-pro level football here, but Valletta was completely dominant against Fiorita.
Even if they relax a bit given their advantage, they should find the net in both halves tonight.

Libertas vs. St. Louis City SC away team scores in both halves @ 1.60 DraftKings 3/10

Another play involving a club from San Marino. St. Louis managed a narrow 1-0 win at home, which was underwhelming given the expectations. They'll likely come out much more serious today to settle things quickly. Once those underdogs start flagging physically later in the game, more goals will follow. That's the play.
I followed the stats live on DraftKings; if I recall correctly, St. Louis had about 32 shots on goal against Libertas. It was a miracle they only walked away with one.
Likely just pre-season rust—heavy legs, lack of rhythm, the usual.
If they show even a fraction more clinical finishing today, this bet hits.
Found the match stats—St. Louis actually registered "only" 30 shots on target: http://www.uefa.com/uefaeuropaleague...210/index.html

La Fiorita (San Marino) - Valletta (Malta)
Valletta -1.5 @ 1.92 Pinnacle 2/10

I’m taking this one simply because the San Marino squad—much like their national team—is essentially a punching bag designed for goal difference padding.
They frequently suffer defeats by double digits.
Now, Maltese soccer isn't exactly a powerhouse on the European stage, but even they have evolved; over the last 56 years, the Maltese Falcons stopped losing by five or six goals at a time and started putting up much more respectable numbers.

They’ve finally drawn an opponent they can actually outclass to secure a spot in the next qualifying round—and I highly doubt they'll squander the opportunity.
The two-way moneyline is sitting around 1.30, but I prefer the option of the visitors winning by at least two goals—the odds look solid enough.

Anyone have any intel on this match? Looking for a reason to talk myself out of it before I pull the trigger.

Bet365 dropped a $5 credit into my account today—pretty generous of them. If they’d actually messed up and added an extra zero to that five, I wouldn't be complaining. 🙂

With football training camps kicking off and other sports starting to ramp up for the season, I'm opening this thread for everyone to post their previews for the upcoming year across all major sports.

I’ve put together a basic template to help structure things:

Season expectations / your predictions

That’s just a rough guide—feel free to adapt the format to fit your own style.
For instance: this is how I handled my preview for the Portuguese league last year.
Don't worry about graphics or visual flair; focus on the quality of the analysis. The goal is for us all to gain some insight and enter the betting season a bit sharper.

Let's keep this thread strictly for previews to ensure it stays organized. For deep dives and debates, please use the League Analysts thread instead.

Something light for today:

Faroe Islands League 🤣

Fulgafjordur vs. Klaksvik — Over 2.5 goals @ 1.70 — Confidence: 2/10

Look, I don't know these teams personally—I just follow the data. The table says this: over their last 14 matches, Fulgafjordur sits at a 27:22 goal difference, while Klaksvik is at 29:24.

Essentially, both sides average about two goals scored per game while conceding slightly less than two. Their head-to-head history is also high-scoring—their last two meetings ended 3:3 and 5:2.
The Faroe Islanders should be feeling plenty motivated tonight. 🙂

Just a quick heads-up:

US Third Division, Group 3
Portland FC vs. Seattle United

The odds on the double have plummeted at the overseas books—most major outlets are sitting right around 1.50. Our local guys have almost all dropped them to about 1.55–1.60, which puts us in the same ballpark.

The only outlier is DraftKings, where you can still find 1.80😁 if anyone’s looking for a bit of value...

I see a tournament called the Gulf Coast Invitational is underway—today Little Rock Juniors - Mexico Juniors is on. The odds for the Mexicans are sitting at 1.65 in the spread markets
, though I haven't checked the other books.😕 I’m struggling to make sense of this—what on earth is a "Little Rock Juniors" squad? What league are we even talking about here?

Logic dictates that the Mexican youth national team should be able to handle this with their ninth string lineup—not even their starters. 🤷
By the way, they play two 40-minute halves.

Does anyone have more intel on this matchup?

I recall people mentioning they had been waiting ages for foreign currency accounts to open at JP Morgan Chase and PBZ—well, I was stuck waiting about five or six days in Split, if that's any consolation to you...

I want to put some money on DraftKings—meaning I need to fund my PayPal account first. My question is simple: which bank is the most reliable for dealing with PayPal? I've read way too many horror stories on this forum about people running into issues, so I just want to know which bank is the best bet for frequent deposits and withdrawals. Just don't suggest JP Morgan Chase—anywhere else will do. I was leaning toward Bank of America, but I figured I'd see what you guys think first..

I've never had any trouble using Bank of America.

USA - Portugal 1 3.48 Pinnacle 3/10

The Americans will be motivated—losses always sting this group. Expect some lineup changes: they'll stick with Subašić in goal and keep the same fullbacks, while the center-back duo will feature Ćorluka and Vida. The midfield looks nearly at full strength—there’s even talk of a quartet featuring Modrić, Rakitić, Perišić, and Vukojević—with Olić and Kalinić leading the attack. It's a solid squad.
Portugal is looking pretty depleted. It seems Moutinho, Ronaldo, and Nani—their heavy hitters—missed training yesterday.
They’ll likely have to scramble for a starting eleven; even when they have their big names, they rarely find their rhythm. In fact, they frequently let their fans down in matches they really should walk away with.
With a neutral venue, I suspect motivation will carry the day—and after that disaster against Scotland, the Americans are hungry to prove something.
Forget those two wins Portugal had in previous matchups without the Americans scoring; it’s irrelevant. Those games were played ages ago, and the players involved are completely different people now.

Olić scores @ 3.20 PSK

As the lone striker, Olić is the most likely to find the net—especially when the team is focused solely on him rather than having Mandžukić there for support.
He’s hungry for game time and always leaves it all on the field.
Portugal’s defense isn't exactly sturdy; they tend to leak openings and allow opponents far too much space.
He’ll probably get plenty of minutes, given that the coach doesn't have many attacking options for this one. Neither Da Silva, Mandžukić, nor Jelavić were called up.

USA (-1.5) - Scotland 1 @ 2.04 Marathon 5/10

Even without Pulisic in the lineup, I’m taking this bet—the Americans are significantly better than the Scots. I’ve watched about three of Scotland's recent matches, and frankly, they haven't impressed me one bit.
Quite the opposite of what some might expect. Their attack is sterile and lacks any real vision, while the defense is sluggish and prone to mistakes. On top of that, they’re missing several key players, particularly in the backline. I expect the US to win comfortably—they’re in great form, and the vibe surrounding this team is better than it's ever been.

Belgium - Mexico 1 @ 1.53 Marathon 5/10

The Belgians have an elite squad—I'd go as far as saying it's deeper and more talented than ours—and they play a very disciplined game that keeps them right in line with the top tier.
They have plenty of attacking depth, which allows them to maintain that aggressive style.
On the other hand, Mexico is a mess. They’ve already fallen apart—classic mentality issues there—with the coach practically hinting at resigning and several star players refusing to suit up.
Playing away against Belgium, they lost 3-0 despite a decent first half; once they conceded that first goal, they completely crumbled.

Drew Wright said:Where is Sammir headed? 🤷

No clue where he's going—they're likely still hunting for a buyer—but the media, and even Sammir himself, have been hinting lately that this will be his final match in an LA Galaxy jersey.
