Is Lewis Hamilton leaving Ford? in Formula 1 ·
restlessfox34 said:Do you have a crystal ball or something? It seems like a few folks on this forum are just obsessed with Fernando Alonso. You know that old saying about how you can judge a horse by its teeth? If you haven't heard it, Google is always there to help.
No matter what car he jumps into, he’s going to squeeze every ounce of performance out of it—just like he’s always done.

Honestly, Fernando Alonso would barely even be mentioned on this forum if it weren't for his fanboys—they're practically a cult at this point! 🙄I mean, really, who else would be talking about Fernando Alonso or Kimi Räikkönen if it wasn't for the die-hard supporters? Let's just say 2014 is best left in the rearview mirror.

Only if it ends up looking like this—but even then, it kind of messes with the whole concept of Formula 1 for me. I mean, at the end of the day, it's open-cockpit racing, and that’s how it should stay, right?

According to Wikipedia, diffuse axonal injury (DAI) stands out as one of the most frequent—and honestly, most heartbreaking—kinds of traumatic brain injury out there.

The reality is quite grim: it often leads to a coma, where more than 90% of people suffering from severe DAI never actually regain consciousness. Even for those lucky enough to wake up, they are usually left facing significant, long-term impairments.

Henry Hernandez7 said:Everything there is still valid—even if the accident itself officially debunked those rumors—but honestly, whether it’s debris, a crane, or any other issue, there just isn't much point in having a slow zone without an actual SC. Sure, it's easy to play the expert after the fact, but I'm really hoping that because of what happened today, they make it a standard rule starting from the next race.

Man, what can I even say? Just look back at Silverstone when that barrier issue happened—the amount of whining on the forums was unreal. You had people calling real drivers "soft," saying you had to be a certain kind of man to race back in the day, or blaming the FIA for this and the FIA for that. Now, because a SC wasn't called today, everyone is suddenly an expert claiming it *should* have been deployed. If this accident hadn't occurred, nobody would even be talking about the SC or playing the "what if" game.

At the end of the day, it was definitely a lapse in judgment by the organizers. But let's keep some perspective: we haven't seen a fatality in twenty years, and let's all pray it stays that way. Sometimes, you just can't control every single variable.

Every single driver on the grid mentioned that the race could have proceeded normally—most were running on intermediates anyway, so calling off the whole thing seems a bit excessive to me. At the end of the day, when you sign up to be an F1 driver, you’re essentially signing up for the inherent risks that come with the territory.

It looks like everything is finally moving in the direction everyone anticipated, which honestly feels like a bit of a relief after all the speculation we've been seeing lately. It seems the plan is actually staying on track, which is quite a win if you ask me—sometimes in this sport, you expect a sudden curveball to throw the whole season into chaos, but for once, the stars seem to be aligning perfectly. I'll be watching closely to see if they can maintain this momentum as we head into the next stretch of the season. It’s going to be interesting, to say the least!

Word on the street is that we might be looking at a delay—apparently, the race can only start later than scheduled, never any earlier than the original kickoff time. Just my luck, right? I was hoping for an early start to get things moving, but I guess we'll just have to settle in and wait a little longer!

Sweet! Now I can finally revert to my original strategy of waking up at a ridiculous hour—rather than an absolutely absurd one.

maminho As I was saying—or rather, as was mentioned—
Even a team like Ferrari deserves to catch a lucky break and land a truly great car every once in a while—it’s about time, really! 😁

It’s funny how life works sometimes—you know, that old saying about how even a blind hen can stumble upon a grain of corn? It really hits home when you realize that sometimes, pure, unadulterated luck is the only thing keeping us afloat. We spend all this time planning, strategizing, and overthinking every single move, yet occasionally, things just fall into place by sheer accident. It's a bit humbling, isn't it? A gentle reminder to stay grounded and maybe laugh at ourselves a little more often when the universe decides to throw us a lucky break we didn't actually earn.

I mean, obviously, they should have built Richie into a total superstar from the jump 😉
Kvyat's move is pretty much a given at this point; the real mystery is who ends up in the Red Bull Racing seat... maybe Sainz? 🤷

And honestly, it's exactly what I've been preaching for days—there's really nothing left for Lewis Hamilton to find over at Red Bull Racing...😁

Now, the big question is whether Lewis Hamilton jumps into Sebastian Vettel's old spot at McLaren-Honda, potentially pushing Sebastian Vettel over to Ford, or if he just stays put at Ford...

Christian Horner accidentally let it slip on Sky that Sebastian Vettel is heading to Ford

stormybadger8 said:Look, I’m not suggesting that jumping into a Ferrari seat would be a bad move—not at all—but moving to Red Bull Racing? That just seems a bit nonsensical to me. 😁
So, while seeing Vettel end up at Ferrari feels like a genuine possibility, the idea of Alonso joining Red Bull Racing feels almost entirely out of the question...

Ricciardo and Kvyat 2015 😁

We might be in the dark regarding Fernando Alonso, but we certainly have the scoop on Sebastian Vettel

So long, Red Bull Racing

EDIT: Word coming out of Red Bull Racing is that he's heading to Ferrari—which means Fernando Alonso is officially on his way out.

darkmarlin16 said:Just five years ago, he made the jump from Suzuki Fernando to become a driver for Ferrari. Now, five years down the line, he’s leaving Ferrari—and if all signs point to the truth, he’s heading to McLaren-Honda. It’s the exact pairing his idol Ayrton Senna once enjoyed, and just as Fernando Honda wants for him, he’s their top pick. Honestly, how do you say no to that after everything he’s endured at Ferrari?

We'll just have to wait and see what next season brings. There's absolutely no guarantee that Ferrari won't end up being faster than Honda.

That said, a change of scenery might be exactly what he needs to thrive.

To be perfectly honest, I think an Alonso - Kamui Kobayashi lineup at McLaren would be quite something to watch.

And a Hulkenberg - Bianchi duo at Ferrari—though we all know that's impossible while that laid-back Finnish guy Kimi Raikkonen is still hanging around there.

I can't wait for Ferrari to start handing out reprimands next year, all while Alonso makes his great escape! 👏👏

We spend all this time praying for a little rain to spice things up, and then—of course—a literal typhoon rolls in. 😁

🤔

It honestly feels more like a decision being made by Ferrari than anything he's doing...
At this point, it’s either he’s asking for a massive paycheck just to mess with them—or they simply don't want him anymore. 🤷

The second he starts dodging the question, he's out.
