Honestly, for any true Formula 1 fan, my point stands perfectly well on its own. Go ahead and celebrate that fraud if you must... I mean, really—comparing him to Ayrton Senna? That’s just reaching.
Honestly, I’m convinced Sebastian Vettel is the greatest driver to ever sit in a cockpit—I mean, the way he manages to pull off literal miracles with an RB that's basically struggling just to stay on the track... it's nothing short of incredible.

Ayrton Senna was a three-time world champion.
Prost was a four-time champ.
Then you've got Schumacher—a seven-time legend (who, let's be honest, was getting absolutely toyed with by Nico Rosberg during those final three seasons).
And finally, Vettel, a three-time champion who'll likely be a four-timer before he's done.

Are you seriously trying to put Ayrton Senna in the same conversation as Vettel? 🤣 🤣I honestly don't even know what to say to you anymore.
placidridge2 said:Look, Kazem—Vettel had an incredible car today, but let's be honest, he didn't have it for most of the race. Aside from that, though, he drove today's race at such a high level without making a single mistake.

And as for all that crying? Well, he isn't Sebastian Vettel and Fernando Alonso, is he? ☕

It’s actually a massive challenge—having a car that's two seconds faster per lap and a clear track ahead of you, then managing to drive flawlessly. That's truly the mark of a great driver; even Takuma Sato could have pulled that off if given the chance. 🤣
@ placidridge2

I can't wait to see how you handle things once Red Bull isn't driving such an absolutely dominant car—it’ll be quite the reality check! 😉 At that point, I suspect you'll be back to your usual routine of complaining to anyone who will listen.
graniteharbor502 said:Only three drivers in the entire history of Formula 1 have more wins than Vettel: Schumacher, Prost, and Senna. What an absolute legend!

Honestly, putting Vettel in the same breath as icons like Schumacher, Prost, or Senna feels a little bit like sacrilege to me—just a thought!

It’s actually pretty funny—they managed to cover up the whole mess with a tarp. 🤣😍

Honestly, I don't see any issue with people waving whatever flags they want. We've seen plenty of Bulgarian and Romanian flags being waved before, and even the American ones—so what? It seems like he's just bothered by something else entirely and is throwing out these petty little comments instead.

slydrifter39 said:Me? The guy who needs to get his head checked is the one front and center in that podium footage, shoving some random flag that has absolutely nothing to do with the event.

Look at the parallel here—imagine if Marin Čilić wins a Grand Slam, and then some idiot starts waving a South Ossetian flag in his face during the trophy ceremony, blocking the view while he's getting his hardware. Would you call that pure stupidity, total brainlessness, or would you just praise the "legend" waving the flag?

I’ll say it again: get a grip. If you're going to lecture me on what constitutes being primitive or foolish, maybe take a moment to actually re-read your own post.

Oh, please, give me a break! ☕

If they had brought him in for a pit stop right then, he wouldn't have been able to run the softer compounds—they just wouldn't have lasted until the end of the race.
On the other hand, if they had opted for the harder tires, he likely would have overtaken Romain Grosjean, which would have put them right back at the front again.

Even in this scenario, those soft tires didn't really give him much of an advantage.

It feels like Lotus just can't figure out their timing when it comes to bringing a driver in for a pit stop. Honestly, when Kimi had built up that massive 15.8s gap over Vettel—and was sitting a whopping 17.5s ahead of Romain—that was the absolute perfect moment to strike. I don't know, it really feels like there are some total amateurs running the show in those pit boxes 🙂

If you ask me, those illegal tire testing shenanigans at Mercedes-Benz didn't actually give them any kind of edge whatsoever 😬
Damned DRS and these damn tires... honestly, this is exactly what I mean when I say I miss the old days of Formula 1—back when a driver actually had to outmaneuver someone through pure skill, rather than just relying on fresher rubber and a DRS boost. It’s become a total circus.

Richard Vaughn62 said:I think you guys are being a little too harsh on Lewis... he’s long past his growing pains stage, and honestly, there isn't any reason for him not to be a bit arrogant—most legendary drivers tend to carry themselves that way, after all. He's certainly not the first, nor the last.

If you ask me, a driver truly earns that "legendary" status by performing miracles in subpar cars—and frankly, I feel like Lewis was practically handed his spot on the podium thanks to a lucky hat and a whistle. I don't see what makes him so special as a driver; nothing out of the ordinary, especially when we see how much Nico Rosberg can outperform him.

There was a time when Jarno Trulli was the one getting left in the dust, but mark my words—tomorrow it’ll be either a Mercedes-Benz or Nico Rosberg being left in the rearview mirror 🤣
Drew Edwards8 said:I’ve always had a soft spot for bronze over silver, personally—there's something special about it. Honestly, after those three tough losses, it feels great that we managed to pull off three wins in the bronze medal matches. That said, we definitely need to sit down and do some serious soul-searching as to why we’ve managed to drop three semifinals within a single year—especially when none of those games were even close in the final ten minutes.

You really hit the nail on the head there. Don't get me wrong, I'm thrilled about the bronze—it’s a huge achievement—but seeing Coach Miller's sour expression after the loss to the Danes... man, that said it all. It’s just hard to wrap my head around how we can lose semifinals like that; it felt less like a gritty, hard-fought battle and more like we just got outclassed by a lower-tier squad. After that whole hex involving the French team, it feels like we’ve just traded one curse for another—this "semifinal jinx." Hopefully, we can shake this off before the Euros roll around.
