Did he even have a decent time to begin with? 🤷

I mean, saying "to rise" and then just shouting FERRARI 😂😂
Jason Campbell70 said:The driver in car number 14 messed up big time—he went wide at one of the corners—which pretty much flushed his only qualifying lap down the drain.

And honestly, the guy in car number 7? He’s just not cutting it.

I was wondering, though—why did the driver in car number 14 only get one shot at a qualifying lap?
I haven't quite caught up with everything—did anyone happen to see what went down with those drivers from the last race?

What a race! 🙏
If Mercedes can just find that extra 15% of power in every single race, they'll be right back at the front with everyone else. 🙏
A complete nail-biter until the very end (honestly, my heart is still racing).

As for Ferrari... 🙂
If it weren't for the fact that Lewis Hamilton, Checo Pérez, and Sema—well, everyone ahead of them—dropped out, they would have finished way down in 9th. 👎 Total chaos.

It really seems like those engineers from Maranello showed up to the Grand Prix of Canada with a fresh downgrade package that actually worked wonders. It’s funny, though—only Ferrari could take something decent and somehow make it even worse.

Jason Campbell70 said:Are you trying to say that being "professor-like" actually makes you slower than the competition?

Not at all—it’s more about not being as reckless as Lewis Hamilton. For instance, if both drivers are hitting the brakes at the exact same point, Hamilton—being the absolute wildcard he is—will just push it until he completely destroys his brakes, all just to prove he can be faster.

Take Alain Prost, for example; there were plenty of times when he was technically slower than Ayrton Senna, but Senna was that high-strung type who always felt the need to prove something to someone—which, quite frankly, ended up costing him a massive amount of points.

At the end of the day, though, it's all about the points on the board, and that's really what matters.

Jason Campbell70 said:Nico Rosberg just picks up the scraps—he wins only when Lewis Hamilton drops out.
That’s his whole game plan, really; he hits his absolute ceiling there.

Isn't that just textbook perfection? Exactly what you're looking for... ☕

Jason Campbell70 said:It isn't "😲"?

Are you actually suggesting that a 19 miles mph difference at the speed trap is just business as usual when teams are fighting for those top three spots?

I’ve already broken down how we ended up with that 19 miles mph gap—and trust me, it's definitely not all down to the engine power alone.

Jason Campbell70 said:How would you describe the Mercedes-Benz engine compared to the Renault one?

Well, what I mean is that they can hit higher RPMs much more easily in lower gears—which helps them gain speed faster—especially when they're tucked in the slipstream with the DRS wide open.

I’m certainly not denying that the Mercedes-Benz is fast and arguably the better car here 🙂 but it isn't quite 😲 working the way you think it is.

Jason Campbell70 said:OMB.

By any chance, haven't you noticed that the Mercedes-Benz engine seems to be sitting at about 1,000 RPM higher than the Renault one?

OMB

Just take a look at what gear they're actually running in 😉

Jason Campbell70 said:DRS.

It’s pretty much common knowledge at this point that DRS provides just that sweet spot of about thirty km/h difference.
Sometimes it's even more than that—depending on the track, of course.

Let's say Mercedes is roughly 2.8 miles/h faster than Red Bull under normal conditions, and then you factor in the extra boost from DRS.

Come on, take another look at that photo and tell us—why on earth does Mercedes have such a massive pace advantage?

Hamilton drives with so much raw passion, whereas Nico stays incredibly composed.

Only time will tell if this championship is won by a cool head or pure heart.

Jason Campbell70 said:So, how did that brilliant little tactical masterstroke actually play out? Well, we saw the results during that stretch through the chicane just before the start-finish straight.

A truly masterful adjustment to a sudden change in circumstances—you really have to hand it to them.

Didn't the same thing happen to that devout Catholic fellow?

ruggedhawk20 said:It wasn't that Lewis lost his brakes—it's more that he essentially let them go.

The real culprit here was the MG-K, which actually failed on both cars at the exact same time.

Now, Rosberg had just enough finesse to adjust his driving style on the fly to account for the increased brake wear, which allowed him to save them. Lewis just couldn't quite make that adjustment work.

Speed is one thing, sure, but true driver skill is about managing those tricky variables.

There you have it.

Ric is absolutely killing it—I'm honestly so stoked for him, what a class act he is! 😁

Kudos to Rosberg for keeping that Mercedes car on track; he really held his own there.

As for Hamilton, I'd say we're about to see those frustrations and unforced errors start creeping in—it’s practically his signature move at this point.

And Massa? Man, he's just playing with fire. 😂

The reality is that Red Bull Racing isn't even looking for anything better than 7th place though honestly, even that feels like a stretch...

You keep insisting on that point, yet they just keep showing up on the podium and "chasing down" the Mercedes-AMG cars—so, well, damn it, who's actually right?

Bottas had a car that was twenty times faster than Alonso's—he absolutely schooled him out there. 🙂

It looks like you clearly missed that part of the action. 😁

You obviously overlooked how Bottas's car was performing in qualifying, and how Button managed to Slap both Hulkenberg and Alonso.
