Dana Nelson is quite the cast. And this is what we've been dissecting all day and for several days prior.
Let’s be clear: this isn't actually about River. This is about a moderator failing to perform their duties properly; River is merely the evidence of that failure.
Today, Larry Lee97 is fixating on a single sentence—whether the main male lead said it or not. That isn't even the issue, and nobody would complain about it regardless.
We see posts like these every single day in the "girl named Feriha" thread.
It has been stated a million times how Feriha doesn't feel regret, yet she hasn't been able to forgive herself for 54 episodes already. People write about her being opportunistic—which was never actually shown—and then claim she doesn't love Emir, despite the show portraying the exact opposite.
Then we reach the conclusion that Halil isn't to blame for shooting at Zehra 😲. No, it's Zehra and Feriha's fault because they wounded his pride from the old country. The man isn't even from Mardin, he's from Antakya and he's insane, currently sitting in an asylum. So, the woman who left a ten-year-old child with an irresponsible father because of another husband—and who still doesn't even ask her son how he is, caring only about his love life with a wife she dislikes, all while failing to notice her son was kidnapped for days—is considered a good mother. Even though she is portrayed as the literal definition of a bad mother.

Yes, all of that is perfectly logical, perhaps. But not in this series that most of us are watching. ☕
Dana Booth26, just like on the Feriha Sarrafoglu thread here on PZK, I honestly don't see why you're being called out.
Take a closer look at the previous posts; in posts 24, 26, 29, and 30, you were mentioned and actually praised in all four for being someone with a different perspective that we can still have a decent conversation with.
Dana Nelson said:Let’s not pretend this is just about people being unable to handle different opinions.

Both Jerry Campbell7 and Dana Booth26 are in the minority here on the forum—I don't see anyone complaining about them, even if hardly anyone actually agrees with what they say.

River can share whatever opinion she wants, but the moderators need to let others respond to her, rather than just nuking posts simply because River doesn't like them.

Now, Adam M. just went off claiming my bio was reported, but nobody else could have possibly flagged it—it had to be River acting on her own personal vendetta, especially since there were at least seven posts supporting mine.

And you actually deleted that exact post—the one that another moderator had already publicly cleared.

Bottom line? You aren't moderating this thread objectively.

As for this post,

which moderator Jay also correctly identified as trolling—because half the facts were omitted and the rest were completely twisted compared to reality,

it remains standing. ☕

I will add this: Dana Nelson, Max, and Tina 25 all adore Levent, whereas most of the rest of us can barely stand him. Yet, I haven't noticed any fighting because of that, so there is no such thing as arguing with dissenters, unless we are talking about Michael Ramos4.
Larry Lee97 said:Nathan Turner3 made a good point: things aren't fully moderated yet, so just hang in there—the decent posts will be restored. Whether you realize it or not, you're overlooking one thing I said, which was basically, "With Nathan Turner3's blessing, three moderators agreed to clear out everything starting from that first problematic post by Dana Nelson (which was reported), and all the subsequent posts that were just piling onto her nonsense instead of sticking to the topic."

I'm no lawyer like Michael Ramos4, but she and those other few people who can't stand Feriha have as much right to their opinions as you do to yours. As long as you stay on track, feel free to praise or bash the characters all you want, but let the people who disagree have their say too.

I'm sorry, but that isn't the issue at all. We don't have an issue with differing opinions. For instance, I completely disagree with Dana Booth26's take, yet I respond to her posts politely when necessary and receive equally polite responses in return.
The issue here, as we have all pointed out, is trolling. It is about twisting what actually happened in the show and making up things that never aired, all for the sole purpose of provoking a reaction from others. As far as I know, that behavior is punishable on every other thread on this forum, except for this one.
I received a warning from you for trolling. I didn't appeal it because I believe I deserved it; it was regarding a post where I was being ironic. However, it seems somewhat absurd to be penalized for two or three sentences in a thread where trolling goes unpunished on a daily basis.
I find myself in agreement with these complaints.
From what I’ve observed, my own posts haven't been deleted, yet the contributions of users who simply share their honest opinions on the show seem to vanish. These aren't trolls, nor is there any off-topic rambling or anything of the sort. Meanwhile, Michael Ramos4, who trolls in nearly every single thread, remains untouched and unpunished. We are instructed to report such behavior, so we do, yet nothing ever comes of it. It feels as though this particular user is being shielded by the moderators; if I, or anyone else here, were to post such provocative nonsense and terrorize an entire thread and its participants, we would have been banned long ago. One gets the impression that we are all expected to step back just so Michael Ramos4 can continue trolling, provoking, and fabricating details that weren't even in the series. I have never seen such blatant distortion of the plot; someone who hasn't watched the show but only reads those posts would walk away with a completely warped perception of the story and its characters. Having watched the series three times now, reading certain posts makes me look like this: 😕 when was that actually shown?
Furthermore, I agree that while there are dissenters in other threads regarding AFK, it has never resulted in tension or arguments.
As for Jay and Bea, I have no complaints whatsoever.

cosmicorca5 said:The "off-topic" label people keep throwing around is nothing more than an inside joke among those of us who have been posting in the Away From Keyboard thread since this show was first filmed two or three years ago. It has absolutely zero connection to the main discussion, which was clearly laid out in detail back on the original Disney thread—though apparently, some people lack the basic intuition to tell the difference between actual rule-breaking and just having a bit of fun to kill time. If you weren't part of the group, you wouldn't get it, and honestly, it's a bit sad that some can't distinguish between a serious violation and a simple joke. Right now, we’re essentially in a standoff with these kids who are running around trying to throw Chad around the neck 🤣, and we have our rules and prayer and rules and prayer to fall back on. For us, joking around there is pure enjoyment, so let's leave it at that. ☕

I agree with every word. When I first joined this forum, I started posting in the IBM off-topic section. As a "newbie," I was welcomed warmly, just like everyone else who arrived after me. There hasn't been a single fight or any tension; I’d go as far as to say it’s one of the most cheerful threads on the site. About 95% of the posts there are pure nonsense meant for relaxation and enjoyment, having absolutely zero connection to the other topics or the users who choose not to participate there. As for the "war," you explained it perfectly.

AKIF, nobody mentioned your name here, nor did the previous posts refer to you. I have no idea why you felt targeted. 🤷

I agree with everything that’s been said here.
I’ll just add that the very same troll told me my conclusion was stupid and that I lacked manners; then, their post vanished at light speed. As for whether they were actually penalized, I have no idea.

Later, I made a post containing two sentences of pure irony and ended up getting a red card—nothing more, nothing less—for "trolling." 😲
The important thing is that this individual, who trolls all day every single day, hasn't received a single penalty for it—at least, I haven't seen one. Why? I don't know, and frankly, I'm curious.

I also voted to open this thread. Those who exist solely to troll and provoke should be dealt with through warnings and bans; I see absolutely no reason why everyone else seeking an actual, reasoned debate should be punished because of them.
