Oh, come on, guys... I just can't accept this. I start reading through the thread thinking I'll actually get to contribute something, but then—bam—it’s over. What was even the point of locking it? If there are bans, warnings, and penalties, and if moderators are constantly issuing those persistent warnings about potential sanctions, why go through all that just to shut down the entire discussion? It feels like everyone loses out, especially those who weren't even participating in the argument to begin with. I guess I just don't get 🤷
. Please! Don't do this. I'm asking you to show some mercy and maybe lighten the sentence by easing the 3.5-day lockout. 🙂 That honestly feels way too long. We're going to miss out so much! There's bound to be so much drama and excitement unfolding in the series. Besides, the show is huge, and this thread is incredibly popular and widely read. I genuinely love reading the comments, even when people disagree with me. I usually just try to stay out of it because, well, sometimes people really do take things too far, getting provocative or twisting words—things I usually just choose to ignore.

Jay, Amon, please say something and consider reducing the penalty? 😢 🙂

I’m totally backing this appeal—I was honestly wondering if there was any way to file a complaint about what happened here.
The topic was blowing up, and then suddenly it gets shut down for reasons nobody can explain. Why not just penalize the actual trolls or people being toxic instead of 🙂 nuking the whole thread? Who does that even benefit? And for how long? This was easily one of the most popular discussions on this entire forum... 🙂:

there's zero point in fighting over fictional characters
everyone should just share their own take on the characters and leave it at that☕

I'm jumping in here too—I voted for keeping it open in the poll, because honestly, the "close it down" crowd doesn't deserve this much attention. If they didn't feel the need to shut things down three months ago, why on earth would they suddenly decide to do it now?

I'm wondering, who actually gets to vote "no" on a poll—besides the mods? Like, who would even care if we kept the thread open? 😲
Honestly, I’m all for just opening the thread right now! 🙂

I'm siding (just like stormycrane3.) with the idea of letting people earn their way back through good behavior, then we can move on to other topics. 🙂

I guess I don't have quite as much self-control 😁 as some of the folks who spoke up before me, so I won't claim this thread should be locked just because of those specific people.
I'll admit, I've been pretty sarcastic myself—maybe even bordering on trolling—and definitely went off-topic. I just hope I didn't offend anyone (aside from those characters in the show who drive my blood pressure through the roof 😳).

For all of us who actually deserve a penalty—well, let us be punished. Maybe even retroactively for older posts where we messed with the moderators' nerves and pushed things right to the edge.
But it isn't fair if innocent people get caught in the crossfire.
That’s basically the golden rule, right? Better to let a hundred guilty people go free than to punish one innocent person (I'm trying to sound smart here, though I know nothing about law 😳 ) .

I don't buy any conspiracy theories about the mods voting against reopening the thread. 😁

In any case, when they set up the poll, there was an option to see exactly how everyone voted.
I suspect a lot of people would be surprised if that setting were turned on. It’s usually the people you least expect. 😉

The moderators don't really have any reason to vote against it, since this poll isn't binding and they aren't forced to follow it anyway.

Count me in too—I voted "yes." I haven’t really chimed in much on this thread, but honestly, reading through everyone's takes has been pretty entertaining. Just when I finally sat down last night to weigh in, someone went and closed the topic... right when things were actually getting interesting. I’m voting to reopen it. 🙏 It seems like half the people here were just derailing the conversation anyway, so if they're going to be a problem, just ban them or give them a warning instead of dragging the rest of us down with them. 🙄

I voted to reopen this thread myself—doesn't bother me, and I actually like seeing different perspectives. It wouldn't be much of a discussion if we all agreed on everything anyway, right? The only silver lining here is that the new TV schedule has split up the shows, so we won't miss too much in a single week (haha), though things should get pretty interesting very soon. Maybe the moderators will feel generous and open this back up for debate earlier than planned. That would be nice. :-)

☕ Good morning, everyone. I actually voted in favor of opening this up, but let’s be real—does it even matter? It feels like nothing more than a formality at this point, doesn't it? Look, I’m not going to waste my breath feeding the trolls. That doesn't mean I have an issue with anyone who actually has a different perspective, provided they can articulate it and back it up with actual arguments. There is a massive difference between a fellow user sharing a reasoned opinion and some troll just posting garbage to provoke people. Honestly, I think we all know that. I’m going to go hang out with the girls over on the AFK OFF topic thread; at least there, you can joke around without feeling like you're walking on eggshells. Stay wild. 😁

Which posts actually caused all the drama yesterday? I’m completely lost here. 🤷
Maybe there was just too much trolling going on and they had to lock the thread? 🤔

I also voted to open this thread. Those who exist solely to troll and provoke should be dealt with through warnings and bans; I see absolutely no reason why everyone else seeking an actual, reasoned debate should be punished because of them.

Here’s the deal. There’s one person in here—specifically Tesla—who keeps posting total nonsense and straight-up lies about Fidelity from the show. When people get annoyed and call out those fake claims, she runs straight to the moderators to complain, and they end up nuking those posts. Since basically 99% of this thread consists of people debunking her weird takes, the mods just decide to wipe the whole thing and shut the thread down. So, because of Tesla and her constant drama, our discussion about the girl Fidelity is officially dead. You can tell because her post is the only one left while everyone else's was deleted. My advice? If her crazy theories bother you, just hit that ignore button. Let her shout into the void by herself.
I’m calling for this unfairness to be fixed. Thanks!

p.s. I know this poll isn't official or anything, but it needs to be said. I might have gone a bit hard on the mods, but honestly—who could disagree?! It’s really just some trolls who don't even care about the topic...

Why on earth is the Feriha spoiler thread locked too? Seriously... give me a break!

It seems every thread involving Tesla ends up locked. The 'Power' discussion was pure chaos because of those constant provocations. Honestly, don't feed the trolls; the best approach is to ignore them entirely, given how these debates spiral out of control and what inevitably follows.

I would also prefer if the topic were opened at least a few days before the scheduled date, especially since the series is heading into its final episodes (even if the network is cutting them short now). As for warnings and bans, I wouldn't hesitate to hand them out liberally. Just my two cents regarding the report I submitted.

It seems someone has once again cornered a troll (if you'll excuse my little wink at the moderators). 🥳

It is quite interesting how posts within this thread—or rather, throughout the entire PDF—seem to vanish without a trace; one moment they are visible, and the next, they are gone. ☕ One could receive a warning for any minor off-topic chatter ☕ regarding certain "untouchable" users who feel entitled to invent plotlines for the series, contradict themselves constantly, or post incoherent nonsense; indeed, one could write volumes on that subject alone.
Heaven forbid you should actually confront a troll by pointing out, through their own words, that they are merely posting nonsense and intentionally provoking others. In such cases, the moderation tends to either delete your entry 😁 or issue a moderator warning (which itself often requires interpretation) while implying that the general public is being unreasonable, even when a single individual is clearly ruining the discussion while the mods pretend not to notice.

Naturally, the penalties for fabricating plots or trolling seem to be reserved for those who engage in lighthearted banter, rather than the individual who persistently disrupts the entire topic. ☕ Unbelievable.

I am not entirely sure if it is just my perception, but perhaps the issue extends slightly beyond the mere locking of this specific thread. 🙂

Oh, and everyone, please don't worry... once this topic is unlocked in seven days, we can probably expect at least that many consecutive pages of complaining. After all, I suppose that is what we deserve. 🤣

Closing this thread was pretty much predictable; I guess it was just a matter of time. ☕

Whenever (we all know who) a troll gets backed into a corner by their own lies and twisted logic, it always leads to deleted posts or, even worse, a warning. Like @Min says, it’s not actually the frequent posters who feed the trolls—though we've seen that staying quiet works best (even if I realized that a bit late myself, better late than never, I suppose 😁)—it's always some outsider who just can't shut up and decides to jump in... ☕

And regarding the whole deleting posts thing... 😛 Specifically: one of my posts from last night was wiped out. I was just venting, quite calmly and politely, about how I hate it when people comment on Fidelity's (which basically insults the actress H. K. who played her) physical appearance—talking about her looking unkempt, hair hanging everywhere like spaghetti, bloody cuticles, and all that. So, my post gets nuked, while she gets to keep posting and obsessing over the lead character's looks😕.

Btw, I will never understand why her other post wasn't deleted (even though it was reported), where she told everyone who disagreed with her to "chill out" because they were being annoying for asking for proof for her claims😕. I mean, what's the point of writing stuff if you can't actually back it up😲?

Bottom line: now we all just need to "chill out" and wait for the thread to be unlocked. Once it is properly reopened with actual arguments, we can continue the discussion without giving a single thought to someone who only watches the series just to be provocative.

I’m right there with everyone else who posted before me 👍 nothing much left to say.

But honestly, now that I’ve realized they locked the SPOILER thread
due to constant rule-breaking, off-topic chatter, trolling, and arguments

I have to ask, who exactly is being unreasonable here??? Looking back at that thread, there were only ever a handful of us participating (I personally only put in 8 or 9 posts), and there was never any trolling, any insults, any provocations, any off-topic nonsense, or spamming. Seriously, why shut down the spoiler thread? The discussions were actually well-reasoned and totally relevant. If anything, almost everyone on this forum is on the exact same page regarding where the show is heading as it nears its finale, so claiming there were "arguments" just feels completely baseless.

So, come on—anyone else who was hanging out in the spoiler section? Did I miss something obvious?

Since everyone has started speaking their minds openly, I figured I’d jump in too.

I honestly cannot wrap my head around how one single individual is allowed to terrorize this entire thread for the duration of the series. This particular troll spends every single post spamming, insulting people, and throwing out provocations just to make the rest of us look like fools. It seems like everyone else gets hit with warnings or bans, or has their posts scrubbed, but if it involves the troll from Malibu, everything stays up. I’ve already voiced my frustration in the Complaints section after getting a warning myself because of her, yet she somehow dodges any accusation of being abusive. It is impossible not to walk away with the impression that this troll is being protected—and excuse me if this sounds blunt, but I’m not the only one feeling this way; almost everyone participating in this thread has noticed it. 🤷 Every time this troll ends up shooting themselves in the foot by inventing events that never actually happened just to stir the pot, all we get is some random warning that has absolutely nothing to do with the actual issue. 😕
It feels like everyone else is penalized while she remains untouchable. A perfect example wasn't even that long ago—it was during the warning before last, when a few forum members finally cornered her for repeatedly posting debunked info and blatant lies about the show's plot. Apparently, calling out those lies was deemed a "personal attack." We are all strictly forbidden from doing that, yet the troll gets a free pass? 😕

Is this not supposed to be a forum for actual discussion? Real debate requires disagreeing with one another. Are we all expected to just nod along and clap for each other like mindless drones? 🤷

I have asked several times why the obvious "chill out" comments don't result in a warning, given how much the troll insults everyone here, but I never get an answer. Anyone else who says something similar gets flagged and their posts are deleted, but because it's the troll, it's ignored.

Every single one of us has reacted to this trolling at some point—myself included—but most of us eventually decided to just ignore it. The problem is that she never stops provoking, and eventually, someone loses their cool and catches a penalty. Why hasn't this troll been dealt with permanently through a ban or some other decisive action? 😕

I apologize if I’m voicing suspicions that turn out to be unfounded, but the moderation policy on this specific thread is genuinely baffling and feels bizarre to everyone involved. Everyone on this thread keeps asking why the troll is being shielded; people have pointed this out dozens of times, yet there is zero response. We have all highlighted this systemic issue. 🤷

Adam Miller2, there wasn't any conflict over in the spoilers section. I’ve been posting there since the beginning—though not lately—but I read everything religiously, and there hasn't been any fighting or anything like that. It was likely just locked to prevent the main discussion from migrating over there.

If expressing my opinion earns me a ban or whatever, then so be it. Cheers.

I honestly can’t wrap my head around why anyone would vote against 😲. Doesn't everyone have the right to come to a forum and talk about what they actually care about? If someone is seriously bothered by the fact that Fidelity is currently the biggest show on TV in America, or that soap operas in general are some of the most watched things in the States,
then maybe they should just find some other threads to obsess over and leave us alone..

It’s funny how on other major US forums, if you constantly break the rules, you get a permanent ban and you can't even come back with a new account. Why hasn't this site adopted that kind of policy yet? It would save so much time. Instead of having to constantly issue warnings, delete posts, or hand out strikes—not to mention the endless cycle of closing down entire threads—they could just cut the problem off at the root. 🤷

Yeah, I honestly just put that poll up as a formality, or maybe just to be polite, but now that I'm looking at these results, I have to agree with @fritz—does anyone actually have an issue with keeping this thread open? 😲 😁 I’m actually pretty surprised by this outcome, seeing eleven people against it. I kind of wish I’d made the poll anonymous so I could see who was voting 😁 oh well! It was late at night, and I basically typed this out half-asleep as both a poll and a question... I was expecting a quicker response. I guess maybe people don't think the penalty is too harsh and would rather keep the topic closed? Man, what kind of question was I even asking 😂
I'm not really following... but whatever ☕
