Exactly, you nailed it. 😁 It’s got that unmistakable gritty, old-school vibe, but honestly, you can't deny it—it looks absolutely massive. 👍 If that's all they're doing, then fine—it’s just another pathetic attempt to dodge the conversation about the war.
William Gomez5 said:I am totally backing this whole debate, because honestly, the only real difference between handball and football is that when you watch football, you actually have fans screaming their heads off, whereas I just couldn't care less about these guys anymore.
Just wanted to let everyone out there feeling this rage know that they aren't alone in this mess 👍
No, seriously, I bet there are plenty of people here who feel the exact same way I do (guilty as charged)...
Our play out there basically boils down to handing a hot potato to whoever is closest and praying to God that they actually pull something off, which is exactly where we're failing. Like, 90% of our shots were useless because we just waste all our momentum constantly colliding with each other instead of actually attacking.
The guy's been leading this squad through three straight tournaments and still can't figure out how to run a single cohesive play, so he just relies on that "holy seventh player" to bail him out.
True, but let’s get a little realistic here—we just don't have the talent, whether we truly lack the players entirely or they just weren't called up, but I'm not even going there right now.
But man, seriously, we can bully teams like Chile all day, but the second things actually get tough, nobody shows up to step up.
Joseph Kern5 said:Who exactly are we supposed to be "rebuilding" with? It’s always the same old excuse—whenever they lose, they claim because the squad is young, there's still plenty of time to improve. But when they lose with the veterans on the floor, suddenly it's because there aren't enough young players coming up. At this rate, we'll be sitting around waiting forever for some inexperienced, exhausted version of Cilica, Modrić, or Zlatko Duvnjak.
If guys like Narcisse and Karabatic are still out there playing for their national teams, I honestly don't get why the older vets aren't playing for the US too. The only reason they aren't is because of internal drama and worrying about padding their pro careers. They start all this nonsense about giving the youth a chance, and then at age 36, they just slide right back into their home clubs.🙄 There is absolutely zero need to talk about "giving youngsters a shot" when that's what's actually happening.
I think the guy was being sarcastic, since we've already cycled through three different "young squads," and every single year there are supposedly these new players who are allready making the team a "youth movement."
If anyone actually thinks this coach is smart, they seriously need to walk away from this roster right now because, honestly, we are playing like absolute ice. We’re out there with zero substitutions and the guy has absolutely no tactical plan ready to go, but hey, that’s just been the standard around here for ages, hasn't it? It used to be that we could just muscle through on raw individual talent, but now we don't even have that to fall back on, so we're basically left with nothing.
Hey ladies, I honestly just want us all to have a much better, more successful 2017. I mean, let’s just hope we can take down a few more criminals and get some justice, as long as we don't lose as many people this year as we did during this absolute nightmare of a year.
Hell no! Blockbusters are nothing more than glorified spreadsheets. Big studios just churn out whatever is trending right now, and they define "popular" solely by how many millions they pull in at the box office. It’s not like there aren't any great indie flicks out there, but honestly, it wouldn't hurt if we actually got a decent high-budget movie once in a while.
Alex Brown50 said:It’s honestly wild how many people have such a shallow, childish view of things—especially those who act like they’re these gritty realists who "get" real life and aren't fooled by the news. They fall for this whole fairy tale about a corrupt elite vs. the free market, or some fantasy about being non-ideological and outside the system, plus all that isolationist nonsense... It's the exact same crowd that thought certain fringe populist movements were the answer back home.
If political correctness is supposedly so toxic and government interference is such a disaster, then why do the most decent, livable countries in the world actually lean into social sensitivity and market regulation?
And look, let's say we're living in an era more like the early days of industrial capitalism (instead of our super messy, globalized reality) and maybe the idea that Trump will use his business savvy to create jobs isn't totally crazy. You don't need to be a political genius or have deep social insight—just a basic grasp of recent history tells you what aggressive industrialization (plus militarization) and slashing regulations at the expense of social safety nets actually does. And we're talking about 2016 here, not the 1930s or the colonial era.
Even if he manages to spark some economic growth, that kind of policy is just destructive in the long run, both at home and abroad. Let's not forget, the guy basically promised a massive military budget hike alongside cuts to healthcare. God forbid we deal with this "entrepreneurial engineer" mindset where the whole world is viewed through nothing but spreadsheets and economic indicators. Honestly, a single lying, bottom-tier member of the hated political establishment is less dangerous than someone like him.

You should have mentioned what you were curious about sooner...
Alex Brown50 said:Sure, just that whole binary mindset—everything is either good or bad, black or white—and mocking those fake civilization standards while acting all macho about it. Real original stuff, I guess... that's your limit. Look, you're basically the gritty outlaw who actually gets how the world works, while the softies can't wrap their heads around it.
Man, I just sat through that new Mel Gibson flick and honestly, it’s such a massive spectacle, you absolutely have to see it. There were moments where the combat felt so brutally realistic that I'm sitting here feeling legitimately traumatized.
I tried to "Google" Marcela Brozović and his crew to track down all those little poems they posted on the forum, but of course, the second I click on their profile to see what else they've been up to, I get totally screwed because I don't have the permissions for it.
Then I wanted to go back and check some of my own old posts just to see what I was even saying, but apparently, I can't even look at my own stuff.
When is this absolute disaster of a forum actually going to start working properly? Even the search function is still completely broken. What the hell is even happening here?

My bad, I totally posted this in the wrong subforum and honestly, I even messed up a tiny detail, but whatever—if anyone is struggling to open a port on a Technicolor 7200, here is how you actually do it: First, you gotta pull up cmd and type in ipconfig/all so you can find your IPv4 Address (mine shows up as 192.168.0.14 at the top of the list), then we dive into the router settings, head over to advanced, hit option, and enable uPnP, followed by a quick router reboot. Once that's done, go to forwarding, click create IPv4, and then you just fill out the second part of the form (specifically Local IP Address, Local Start Port, Local End Port). After entering those details, pick your protocol (either TCP, UDP or both) and make sure you switch it from enabled [off] to enabled [on] .
But then I go to run a test using that Forward Networks tool, and when I plug in something like port 80, it just tells me it's closed, which is incredibly frustrating because I feel like I did everything right! Is there some other step I'm missing before these ports actually show up as open?
PS. Turns out I totally missed the issue with uPnP (my buddy phiber helped me figure it out), so please delete this thread since for some reason I can't do it myself.
Alright, thanks. I honestly thought Apple didn't have an official presence here in the States and just operated through third-party resellers or something.
mistyseal11 said:So, what if you just pulled the hard drive out and formatted it using another machine?
Do you actually still have that disc that came with your computer?
I actually still have that Snow Leopard DVD lying around somewhere—it came right in the box with my old laptop. I'm still rocking that old unibody model from late 2009, and honestly, even though it’s ancient, it just keeps on going!
The real headache here is that I don't have a second mac lying around to get this done without any hassle, and honestly, I can't even find my disc anywhere.
cosmicheron48 said:I honestly have no clue where you're going to track down a Lion installer these days, but you can grab El Capitan right from the App Store—though you’ll obviously need a Mac or a Hackintosh to pull that off. Once you actually get the download finished, all you have to do is dump it onto a USB stick. You can find a ton of tutorials on Google explaining exactly how to turn it into a bootable drive; I actually went through the whole headache of doing it myself just a few months ago, but my brain is basically mush now and I've completely forgotten the exact steps.
What year are we even talking about for this macbook Pro? Honestly, I feel like pretty much any macbook Pro from 2009 onwards should be able to handle El Capitan without breaking a sweat.
That’s exactly what I was getting at—I just need a second mac, because honestly, I couldn't care less which OS is running on it, and since it's a 2012 model, it'll do the job just fine.
ironcyclist58 said:Honestly, you're better off just reaching out to Apple support directly.
Does anyone happen to know if there's an app out there that actually recognizes speech—like, something that takes what it hears and turns it into text—but is actually decent, unlike Siri or those basic, crappy built-in apps that come pre-installed on your phone? I’ve got this hour-and-a-half interview coming up that absolutely needs to be transcribed into text, so please help me out. Thanks.
