James Anderson5 said:I'm right there with you on that, but seriously, how many little thieves are actually embedded in our society? Between fraudulent pensions, disability scams, and people coasting through government jobs thanks to connections... those are the folks who will fight tooth and nail to make sure nothing ever changes.
Don't forget that there are over 400,000 people working in the broader public sector. Once you factor in everyone employed by major state-owned corporations or companies where the government holds a massive stake, that number climbs to nearly 600,000, if I remember those recent stats correctly.
Now, just look at all the private contractors that survive solely because they win rigged government bids, along with their entire staff, and you'll see why a huge chunk of these people are terrified of any real reform.
That's why I don't think we'll see any real change anytime soon. It's incredibly hard to build enough momentum for significant reform, especially when you have a segment of the population more interested in arguing over historical grievances than looking toward the future...
Exactly, that is the heart of the whole mess right there. There aren't enough people actually outside the system. I get why people do it—they want to fight for anything, shoving their kids into any available slot just to have a paycheck—but the real issue is that half these people aren't even doing a damn thing; they're just line items on a budget. I personally know a couple of families where every single person works for the same state agency, the entire damn family from aunts to cousins, for god's sake; it's statistically impossible for them all to be that qualified, or look at the facts—we have more employees at the DMV than some medium-sized European country does!
Man, what we really need is some outsider who actually loves America but has enough personal wealth to stay untouchable and doesn't *have* to steal just to survive, which obviously sounds like a total fairy tale.
And honestly, we need people to start having some backbone again, because there are so many spineless cowards in this society today that it’s actually pathetic. No pride, no self-respect, or whatever the hell else—just step on whoever you need to in order to get ahead.
Larry Fox5 said:A picture of the society we live in—nothing more, nothing less. The problem isn't just the individual who thinks they can act like this... it's the entire culture that actually puts up with it. This kind of behavior has been getting a free pass here for years, which is really just a perfect reflection of the mess we live in...
I don't agree with you one bit, honestly. At the end of the day, every single person is responsible for their own actions, and the way you carry yourself and the choices you make are a direct reflection of who you actually are. If you're a complete piece of trash, you're going to exploit every single loophole in the legal system just to steal whatever you can, looking out for nothing but your own pocketbook—and usually, it's not even about making an honest living, it's about ripping everyone else off too. If you can't build something from the ground up and instead rely on a bunch of "friends" plus a massive pile of shady, unethical bullshit, then you're just a huge jerk through and through.
You don't need to be some genius to steal a fuel tank during wartime and sell the gas; if anything, it takes a special kind of stupid and irrational person to pull stuff like that.
Screw money when there's a massive toll on human lives hanging over your head. If someone is comfortable living like that, fine, go ahead, but just stay as far away from me as possible.
Morgan Williams said:Another one dead. This piece of trash should consider ten years in prison a total gift. He deserves twenty, minimum—honestly, probably much more.
Like someone already pointed out, there's absolutely no way that's enough. There's this ridiculous legal loophole where if you're over the limit, the law somehow treats you differently—like it’s "easier" on you somehow—though I have no clue how that even applies when you're driving drunk and crushing someone under your car, and I guess it depends on your prior record. But apparently, it’s not viewed the same way whether you kill someone with zero alcohol in your system or if you're totally wasted at like two percent.
I'm sure the people hanging out on this sub know the legalities better than I do, but my best guess is maybe six years, then potentially parole after four if he plays nice. And let me tell you, the guy deserves a minimum of 25.
I can't stand that idiot; he's always been a complete moron. Just a total lowlife.
They actually went and pulled multiplication tables out of the school curriculum, so... honestly, who cares? It’s not like anyone was ever actually using them for anything useful anyway.
I honestly have no clue what you're even trying to pull here. Like, seriously, I don't get you at all.
You're just talking absolute nonsense and acting like a complete idiot, so let's be real—you're just a troll. Just because politicians are spineless cowards doesn't mean anything, does it? And why on earth should we be answering some random guy on an internet forum about our own domestic political mess just because we live in the West? That is some truly top-tier, broken logic right there. 👍 Look, politicians can go screw themselves and kiss someone else's ass for all I care, but that doesn't mean I have to, which is why I was talking about regular people, not the elites. So there's really no point in me answering your question about why something like that happened in Chicago. It's not like you're some tourist from halfway across the world who has no clue how things work; you're coming from a place where the situation regarding this stuff is ten times worse than it is here in the States. Honestly, I shouldn't even have to provide examples to prove my point.
You guys act like you're the center of the universe, and you, too, clearly think the same way, which is probably why you imagine everyone else (including me) revolves around you. Seriously, I can barely even finish making a sandwich before I have to check if there's another one of you lurking around. 👍
And besides, everyone saw what went down during that game, where the commentator, the crew, and everyone in the studio and the stadium immediately jumped to the side of the league, acting like they're infallible. I didn't hear a single word of criticism regarding the security situation, which was basically North Korea-style, where a security guard meant to keep order in the stands ends up hitting a player. But hey, since you guys provoked them, I guess you're allowed to complain. 🙄
Honestly, we’ve sat through every single one of those football matches between Americans and their neighbors since '98, plus all those handball championships held over in the States and Mexico. And look at how we reacted to that "God and Country" stuff versus how they acted after that US vs. Albania game.
I’m not even talking about that. I have zero desire to comment on whatever is happening down by the Mississippi, and frankly, I don't know anything about this "flower" situation—nor do I care. It just cracks me up that we're expected to justify ourselves to someone just because they decide to ask some incredibly moronic question, like, "How on earth is this even possible?!" 🙄
To be honest, I couldn't care less about other countries or their internal drama, but it's not that I'm totally oblivious to what's happening globally; it's more that I refuse to act shocked when something extreme happens, because let's face it, every single country has its share of idiots. I at least know a thing or two about history, so I really don't need some guy from Germany or England acting all stunned and asking how something like this could possibly occur, especially since every nation has its own dirty laundry, and quite frankly, they're all collecting stains faster than we are.
I mean, just imagine if I turned around and started grilling Belgians about why their King slaughtered people in the Congo, or asked the British about their massacres all over the globe, or questioned the Swiss about stealing gold and helping out the Nazis—don't even get me started on the questions I'd throw at people in the North America.
So, I see absolutely no point in answering a question from someone living in a country that is easily thirty times worse than ours by any conceivable standard, acting all surprised and asking "how is this possible," as if these things only happen here. 🙄 Think about it.
I’m not even talking about that, I’m saying I am seriously losing my mind with all these brainless questions from people who clearly don't have a clue what's actually going on or weren't even there to witness how bad things really were. Like, maybe if some random guy from Indonesia asked, I wouldn't care, but no, you've got people from all over Europe acting like they have a right to lecture us about why things are happening this way. Because honestly, we all know damn well that every single country in Europe—and yeah, I'll throw the USA into the mix too since we're being real here—is dealing with its own massive, soul-crushing crises right now.
If some other kid is out there getting high and selling themselves just to score a hit, then wanders over to my house to disrespect my kid and act like they own the place, you better believe I’m kicking them straight to hell—at least when it comes to protecting my own. Even if my kid was the biggest mess on the block, I still wouldn't let some random outsider come in here trying to lecture them or treat them like garbage.
Your logic is completely backwards, honestly; look, if the kids at my school are already drinking and smoking, and then some total junkies from the school across town show up trying to preach about ethics, I’m not about to sit there and explain myself to them, mostly because they're fifty times worse than anyone else, but also because I truly don't give a damn about those addicts or smokers.
@Adam Williams2, for God's sake, everyone's out here making excuses when everything south and east of us is already three times more chaotic and completely unhinged, yet now we’re suddenly being interrogated about why a few hundred people in America act the exact same way 🙏
Man, this guy is getting banned just over some picture, meanwhile > wouldn't hesitate to wipe out every single American in sight if he could just declare this whole country a radical extremist state. http://www.payvand.com/news/16/jan/1029.html
It’s true for all of us, but let's be real—the cops just take all their frustration out on the little guys, while they're too terrified to even breathe near the actual scammers, let alone try to nail them with anything similar.
I mean, I still remember how many times back when we were just kids, they’d corner us just to chase us off and demand our IDs before we could even blink.
Look, we aren't some big-shot wealthy targets for the department. We're nobodies. And honestly, it's not like things are any different over in Germany either.
Yeah, okay, great trailer, totally feels like some kid's cartoon which I guess is exactly what they're aiming for. Let's just pray Michael Bay doesn't go overboard and ruin everything with his usual explosions.
