analoghound21 said:Man, talk about efficiency—22 shots taken and he walks away with exactly 22 points. Just a straight-up one-for-one ratio. I guess that’s one way to run a stat sheet, though it feels almost too clean, right? Maybe he was just feeling a little extra methodical tonight or something. Either way, you can't argue with that kind of math. 🙂 I mean, seriously, what was that? He drops 12 buckets in the fourth quarter—after being stuck at just one point at the end of the first, only having 10 at the half, and then basically disappearing again to stay at 10 through the end of the third—and then suddenly, out of nowhere, this guy decides he’s actually going to play basketball. Just when things finally start moving, he sits there with 22 points with four minutes left on the clock, and then absolutely nothing happens for the rest of the game. I mean, sure, he was missing some threes or whatever, and the coach pulls him with a minute left, but man... I hate this. By the end of the third, I had already mentally accepted the loss, and then he just dangles hope in front of me like that, only for us to end up getting totally screwed in the end.

I mean, it was definitely shadowjackal27—he swore it to me, 100%.🙂 😬 🙂

Look, panda—let’s just call it quits on this whole conversation. No point in even wishing each other luck anymore... honestly, we're both probably gonna take a hit on this one anyway. 😢 Man, Miami absolutely wrecked me on that one—I’m sitting here feeling pretty stupid now that I realize they weren't actually going to lose. 😠

Bradley Kern6 said:Man, I placed a bet yesterday on LeBron James going over 26.5 points—which actually hit, thank God—but I was looking at the lines on DraftKings afterward and I’m just totally lost. They had LeBron James (-28.5+) vs. Cha-Mia AND LeBron James (-26.5+) vs. Cha-Mia listed right next to each other... 🤷

They probably shifted the lines mid-day, so people could end up having action on both sides... either way, the over definitely hit. 😁

So, looking at tonight's matchup, Houston vs. San Antonio under 197.5...
NBA Betting: Vol. 2 in Betting Forum ·
Man, I am absolutely fed up with this arrogant Miami squad... Just when I finally nail my spread, they go out there and let Charlotte shoot 60% through the first half—dropping 60 points just like that. 🙂 🙂
I was actually thinking about taking the Pacers, but nope, I guess I’m just destined to blow this one instead. 🤦

edit: And don't even get me started on Westbrook—shooting 0-for-13 and coughing up 4 turnovers? Seriously? 🙄
I was just telling a buddy yesterday how I thought this was an under play, I think the line was sitting at 22.5 in the first half. 🤣
Meanwhile, the Clippers still have a massive mountain to climb if they want any chance here...
NBA Betting: Vol. 2 in Betting Forum ·
Bryan Adams6 said:Does anyone else think these guys look like a decent enough fit for the Clippers? 😕

The Clippers
Miami
Atlanta

this is basically how the main lineup looks right now

I mean, it looks pretty tempting, but let's be real—they're playing the Spurs at home... though if we're talking pure value, then yeah, absolutely 👍
it could actually turn into a hell of a game—you'd have Paul vs. Parker, Billups vs. Ginobili, Butler vs. Jefferson, Griffin vs. Duncan...
NBA Betting: Vol. 2 in Betting Forum ·
So, I took the Miami Heat at +9.5 (parlayed it, obviously) and then grabbed Denver...

Man, I gotta say—I am just straight up killing it. Seriously, I'm on fire right now. 🙂

Way to go, James Taylor3! 🙏
Look, if you want to pass this assignment, you really have to do your homework—like, actually sit down and read every single preview and get up to speed on every single team. I mean, you can't just wing it. Once you're done digging through all that, I'll be testing you to see if you actually know your stuff. 🤣

Seriously though—who actually gave Pavlovic permission to step onto an NBA court?! 🤦 one 🙏 So, about that rookie from Miami (Cole)...
The Lakers basically just stumbled their way into a win there—I mean, man, talk about a rough night for the Jazz. They were shooting absolute garbage, like hovering around 30% from the field... and don't even get me started on Richard Jefferson, he was a total liability going 2-for-16. Just brutal. 🙄 )
NBA Betting: Vol. 2 in Betting Forum ·
ended up playing the Miami Heat, Atlanta Hawks, and James Taylor3's Portland Trail Blazers 😁

hey there...
NBA Betting: Vol. 2 in Betting Forum ·
Bryan Adams6 said:Man, that was actually painful to watch... I mean, they were just straight-up terrible. Honestly, my gut says go with Atlanta, but I think Miami is the better pick for today—just feels more solid, I guess.

I guess I'll be throwing my chips down on both of them—might be a gamble, but I'm definitely playing both sides. 😁

Bryan Adams6 said:@Keith Moore21/">@@Keith Moore21 man, you gotta check out the Brooklyn Nets on League Pass from last night against Washington, D.C.—the first half was just... wow. After seeing that, I don't think you'll even have to wonder whether to bet on Atlanta or not. 😁

Where have you been hiding, man?! You're basically a ghost at this point—can't find you anywhere. 🤣
Yeah, I know, I saw it too... that's why I'm saying, forget about Atlanta for a second, but those Nets don't look half bad to me either. Honestly, though, I kind of feel for Deron having to play for a squad like that...
NBA Betting: Vol. 2 in Betting Forum ·
James Taylor3 said:Honestly, I haven't got a clue.
I haven't really done my homework on either squad heading into this season—especially not Atlanta. They were such a wildcard last year; one day they look like they could take down anyone, the next they're dropping games to bottom-feeders.

The Nets are definitely going to miss Lopez, and honestly, I doubt anyone can step up and match what Deron brings to the table.

Atlanta probably has the better roster, but hey, it's just the start of the season—you can see how weird the results have been lately.

If I had to pick, I'd probably lean toward the under if the line is anything less than 185, just as a rough guess. 😁

It’s sitting at 180.5 on the sportsbook... and then I'm reading that the Atlanta coach is promising a high-octane offense this year, mostly because he wants everyone to run with Teagua. And we all know that guy is lightning fast. 😁 Man, you just get all sorts of results with these things... I don't know, maybe I'd just parlay Miami at 1/1 with a Portland straight up win and call it a day... nothing fancy for Miami though, just like what I was telling you this morning...

tsigi, what’s your take on Nets vs. Hawks?! I’m looking at this Atlanta line at 1.55 and it just looks too good to pass up... man, that starting five with Teague, Johnson, Williams, Smith, and Horford—it feels solid. Then you look at the bench and they've got T-Mac, Stackhouse, Pachulia, and Collins coming off the pine... whereas the Nets are basically just Deron and Humphries carrying everything while the rest of the roster looks pretty weak to me... 🤷

forgot to mention that the Boston Celtics have a really solid squad 😁

🤣 I mean, honestly...
Look, nobody would be happier than me if the Boston Celtics pull this off today, but... the Miami Heat are just on another level right now. They've got that trio we all know can absolutely tear things up—and I think Chalmers has actually leveled up quite a bit lately, especially on the defensive end. Then you've got Jones, who just keeps knocking down threes like it's second nature after driving hard and getting those kick-outs from Wade or LeBron. Plus, having Haslem holding it down in the paint, along with Howard and Anthony providing some serious defensive grit—it's tough. Offensively, they probably won't even see the ball much... the Boston Celtics are really feeling the absence of Paul Pierce, and even if he does show up, he's definitely not at 100%. It’s probably all going to come down to whether Rajon Rondo finds that magic spark... If I had to bet, I'd say Miami takes it. They're at home, and the crowd support is gonna be insane (especially against a team like Boston)...

Bradley Kern6 said:why are you guys so sure about Miami? 🤷
they've got an awesome squad

😕

So what you're saying is Miami's gonna lead at halftime and then just cruise to a win at the end... yeah, basically. They’ve got a killer roster—honestly, they're playing at a hundred miles an hour right now. Plus, their chemistry feels even better than last season, you know? Like, they actually play as a unit, especially when it comes to that defense...
NBA Betting: Vol. 2 in Betting Forum ·
I don't know, man, I'm feeling like today's my best shot at hitting a parlay—maybe thinking Miami 1/1 half/full and the Atlanta Hawks...
NBA Betting: Vol. 2 in Betting Forum ·
Man, I really blew it on my Dallas Mavericks bet 🙈
I mean, they clearly aren't quite there yet—it’s looking pretty rough, honestly. Taking two massive home losses right at the start of the season? Yeah, I think I'll be staying far away from them for a little while 🙂
Huge congrats to the Denver Nuggets...

Oh well, I guess I'll be making some much smarter calls today 🧐
NBA Betting: Vol. 2 in Betting Forum ·
Steven Baker12 said:Look, that’s just their starting five... I mean, Nene is definitely going to be playing center for a good chunk of the game since Denver only really has three big guys they can rotate—Nene, Mozgov, and Birdman—plus maybe Koufos for a couple of minutes here and there, and Gallinari will probably spend most of his time at the four. So, the lineup is gonna look more or less like... you plus Afflalo plus Rudy/Farriad plus Gallinari plus Nene, if you ask me... and honestly, if you’ve caught any of Mozgov’s games back in Europe, you know he isn't some nobody... he just hasn't quite adjusted to the NBA pace yet... but anyway, he’ll probably eat Haywood for breakfast 😁

I never said he wasn't a solid player, I just wasn't exactly blown away... I get it, Nene is a pure center, I'm just saying how things might kick off... I don't know, Haywood isn't a bad player in my book either... okay, yeah, he clearly isn't in peak form right now, but whatever, we'll see... all in all, I'm putting my money on Dallas today...
NBA Betting: Vol. 2 in Betting Forum ·
Steven Baker12 said:Yeah, but the Nuggets aren't exactly rolling with their three most impactful guys from last year's run—missing J-R., Chandler, and Martin is gonna sting big time in today's matchup... I mean, the only real edge Denver has is in the paint... honestly, after watching Haywood and Cardinal holding down the five spot yesterday, it finally clicked for me just how much the Mavericks lost when Tyson left... and why a trip back to the Finals feels pretty much impossible for them this season...

I don't know, man, I wouldn't say they have a massive advantage at center. This Mozgov guy isn't exactly anything special, and if the rumors are true, Nene might end up playing the four tonight...
and Haywood isn't quite as bad as he looked yesterday... he's definitely capable of way more, though whether he actually brings it today is another story entirely... 🤷

Arthur Hill2 said:So, looks like three of the guys from Denver are actually stuck in China right now—some kind of travel mess, I guess. Just one of those things, maybe? Honestly, what a headache.

It’s gotta be J.R. Smith, Kenyon Martin, and... I think there was one more guy in that mix. 🤔

Wait, so W. Chandler... what was the deal there? I mean, looking back at everything, it’s kind of wild how things played out—if you can even call it that. I guess I'm just sitting here thinking about how much of a mess it all felt like at the time, though maybe I'm being a bit dramatic. It just seems like one of those situations where nobody really had a handle on the steering wheel, you know? Anyway, I've been mulling it over, and honestly, it's pretty hard to wrap my head around the whole thing without feeling a little skeptical. Just my two cents, I suppose.

So, I decided to take a gamble and put some money on the double—Dallas versus Oklahoma—and man, let me tell you... things didn't exactly go according to plan.
