I have no idea what a banner that size would even cost, but seeing one stretched across the whole Great Wall? Now that would be absolutely incredible...😍
Olympus Has Fallen (2013) in Movies ·
Richard Barrett53 said:Sure, this movie is a disaster, but I suppose we should probably consider the vast majority of Steven Seagal, Dolph Lundgren, or Chuck Norris films. They’ve put out plenty of absolute garbage that managed to be far more successful than this. This one just seems to sit somewhere in that mediocre middle ground for those "turn your brain off and grab some popcorn" nights.

Anyway, since everyone seems so deeply invested in arguing about this particular flick, you might want to keep in mind that this is hitting theaters soon:

It's a film by Roland Emmerich, a guy who basically specializes in catastrophe movies, covering the exact same theme—so I guess we'll just have to see who does a better job of tearing down the White House and who manages to look more patriotic.😁.

I honestly think if you're a fan of this specific subgenre, this adaptation is going to be top-tier entertainment packed with action.

As for me, Olympus Has Fallen feels like one of those heavy-handed "copy-paste" movies we've all seen a thousand times before. It’s just loaded with clichés and that kind of forced, nauseating patriotism that really grates on the nerves. Plus, the logic gaps are so massive they defy common sense, even for an action flick that isn't trying to be realistic. While I suspect this will be a perfectly fine popcorn movie for certain mindless viewers in America, it just doesn't do it for me...

And please, stop whining about it just being bronze.
Just imagine if this medal had been won in soccer... 😁

Sure, we could try to compare handball bronze to soccer bronze, and I suppose the level of competition between the two sports is somewhere in the middle, yeah...
Way to go, Bronze Team!
What kind of amateur is this guy? Even a massive supertanker would have better maneuverability than him 🙂
Samuel Scott54 said:For Canada? Sure. For America? Not so much.

To you guys, success is measured solely by gold medals, probably because you're sitting there alongside powerhouses like Denmark and France, acting like the only true elite in world handball.

But let's be real—the margin at the top is incredibly thin...

You can't claim to be in the top tier when you haven't managed to snag a single gold medal in the last eleven major tournaments.

Patrick Bailey4 said:I have absolutely no intention of stooping to your level. I’ll just say this: you should be ashamed of yourselves, and rest assured, I've reported your comments properly.

I honestly couldn't descend to your level even if I had an industrial-grade drill with a heavy-duty bit at my disposal.

Let's settle this like adults, fair and square. It seems the Spaniards and all those countless Real Madrid or FC Barcelona fanatics on this forum—along with the rest of this crowd—think they're the only ones allowed to act smart. That really says everything you need to know about them...

Sigurno said:Idiots, morons, fools... honestly, it isn't even hard to find the right words to describe these American handball players today.
After a performance like that, I say it’s time to just turn our backs on them and label them a total betrayal of American sports.

Because, at the end of the day, they're just complete trash.
And frankly, it feels right to just tell them all exactly where they can shove it.

I don't think even your own mother cares who you decide to turn your back on, and if you're really looking for a pile of garbage, go check the dumpster out back or look in your bathroom mirror—I'm pretty sure there's a reflection waiting for you there.
