Susan Anderson77 said:Hi there! So, over the last few days—ever since I first tried putting my computer into sleep mode—my internet connection just cuts out, even when the machine isn't actually sleeping.
I'll be sitting there minding my own business, browsing through Chrome, and suddenly nothing will load; the system insists I'm connected with a full signal strength, everything looks perfect on paper.
The troubleshooter doesn't find a single thing wrong. To get back online, I have to manually force the computer into sleep mode and then wake it right back up, which somehow jumpstarts the connection again. I already called my ISP, and they confirmed everything is fine on their end, and my local settings suggest there shouldn't be an issue either since I'm using wireless.
If anyone has any idea what might be causing this glitch, I would truly appreciate the help. It’s becoming quite a chore to constantly cycle the sleep mode just to browse the web.
I've been running Windows 7 for about a year now, and it's been smooth sailing until this sudden hiccup.

Thanks so much in advance for the help!

What kind of wireless setup are you using?
