I don't want to sound like a know-it-all since I’ve got a Samsung TV myself with a Hard Drive plugged right into it, but here's the deal: if you tell the TV yes to formatting the drive, it'll work perfectly fine for watching stuff on the set, but if you want to use it back on your PC, you're going to have to go through the whole formatting process all over again.

Urgent: Calls and texts aren't working...

Honestly, I’d just take it back to wherever you picked it up, or maybe try swapping it out at Hangar 18.
Honestly, you can totally just do this on your phone. I actually went out and installed Kodi on my mobile just because of you, and man, it works like a charm. All you gotta do is head over to the Google Play Store, grab some Kodi skins, and then install the add-ons. Personally, I loaded up the Phoenix Reborn build lite; just wait for everything to finish installing and you're good to go. It’s super smooth. Here’s the guide for you
Is that Android Marshmallow code running on your phone or a TV box?
There’s actually a group on Facebook you should totally join—just hop in there and ask whatever you need from the Phoenix Reborn Squad

I honestly can't wrap my head around what's going on here. I just clicked the link you posted and the video plays perfectly fine on my end. It's called Jane - No Way, by the way. Sounds like something might be acting up on your device or maybe your settings are just being weird.

You're totally right, my bad—it was actually an HD 7750. I tried swapping it into a different PCIe slot on the motherboard, but the exact same thing kept happening. That’s why I decided to test it with this other card instead, and that one boots up just fine, though it still acts a little glitchy sometimes. I'll get these random vertical lines popping up, or the screen just goes completely white like there's no signal at all. But honestly, once I just give the PC a quick restart, everything goes back to being perfectly fine.

Honestly, I’m pretty sure the power supply is total garbage since this was one of those pre-built setups you just grab off the shelf. That old GTX 1050 didn't even need an extra power connector, but this GTX 1050 definitely does, and now I'm stuck. I don't really have the budget to just go out and buy random graphics cards one after another to see which ones actually work; I can't exactly play trial and error with my cash like that. Also, this GTX 1050 has started acting up—it's overheating, and even though I applied fresh thermal paste and the fan is spinning fine, I keep getting these vertical lines on the screen. I'm pretty sure the card is toast.

Alright, I managed to dig up some info. My power supply says EVGA 500W—I messed up earlier and thought it was just 500W—and the graphics card used to be an NVIDIA GeForce equivalent. I’m looking for something with maybe up to 1GB of VRAM, though honestly, it doesn't matter much to me. Even when I play games, it's nothing intense, just stuff like chess or card games. The weird thing is, that old graphics card worked fine on my previous motherboard, but it's being totally stubborn with this new one. It actually started working after I cycled the power a few times, and it worked perfectly in my other rig, even though that PC is actually weaker than this one. As for the setup I'm running right now, the NVIDIA GeForce equivalent works okay, but it's definitely on its last legs.

So, here’s what my current rig looks like:
CPU: Intel Core i5 with Corsair RAM
RAM: 2 x Kingston 4GB DDR3
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce equivalent
Motherboard: MSI motherboard
SSD: Seagate 120
PSU: 450W, though I’m not actually sure which brand it is
Here's the deal: before I swapped out my motherboard, I was running an NVIDIA GeForce equivalent, but on this new board, it just wouldn't cooperate. It was super finicky—the only way I could get it to work was by toggling the power switch on and off a bunch of times until it finally decided to boot up normally. I even tested the card in another PC, and it worked perfectly fine there, so I know the card itself isn't dead. Since I had to deal with that headache, I ended up grabbing this other GPU listed above. It boots up without any issues, but honestly, it's pretty weak. I'm trying to figure out what kind of card would actually play nice with these specific components, or if anyone has any clue why my old card was acting so weird with the new motherboard. Everything else in the build stayed the same; the only thing that changed was the motherboard, which then forced me to swap the GPU.
I don't really game much; I mostly just spend my time browsing the web. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know!
Thanks for any help you guys can give.

GPU driver update causing slow boot issues

I totally dealt with those AMD driver headaches myself once, but I eventually got everything running smoothly. I ended up grabbing the drivers using SlimDrivers—it’s free, so you might as well give it a shot since there's nothing to lose!

I'm not entirely sure what else to suggest, but you might want to try heading into your System Configuration and lowering the boot timeout settings. Also, just to double-check, isn't the graphics card in that machine an AMD Radeon HD 6490 m?

I’ve got a SanDisk SSD 500 in my PC, and man, it is lightning fast. The Windows logo barely even finishes spinning before everything is up and running. I'm pretty sure it's because of the graphics card, too.

Just wanted to give you guys a quick heads-up that everything is totally sorted! My motherboard fried on me, so I just went out and picked up a new one, migrated all my data over, and now everything is running perfectly. Seriously, thanks again for all the help.

So I’ll just grab a different motherboard and call it a day. Thanks so much for the help!

Everything is set to automatic—it’s been that way since I first set things up, and honestly, I don't really care to mess with the deep technical side of it. The only weird thing I’ve noticed is that if I check my RAM, it shows up as 1333MHz, but then CPU-Z claims it's running at 667MHz.

Alright, thanks for the help! If I can't get this thing running, I might just toss it in the trash, but let me know if there's another model you'd recommend picking up instead. Since it looks like all these components are pretty much sold out everywhere now, I'd love some advice on what to grab next.

Hey Benjamin King2, would you mind taking a look at this? It says I'm running in single channel mode, but it's actually detecting both memory slots. Any idea how I can get it switched over to dual channel?

I haven't even touched anything inside, honestly. I just grabbed some Q-tips and the vacuum and gave it a quick, gentle cleaning. But man, it’s tripping me out how Windows sees all 8GB while my BIOS acts like it isn't even there.
