It isn't failing because the search engine is broken. That *is* the search engine.

Back when that happened, I’ve been using Reddit for 6 or 7 years without any major issues.

Just use those three horizontal lines to navigate the forum and subscribe to whatever you want.
It isn't quite the same as the other feature, but it beats having nothing at all.

You have to subscribe to everything. It still works on Reddit.

Did someone mess with the forum settings?

It keeps telling me "searching has been disabled," and now nothing is showing up under my "participating threads" section either.

People travel everywhere. Most of them just never leave the hotel, and they certainly don't go out on their own. It’s the typical all-inclusive package: 7 to 14 days of doing nothing, plus one single day spent on a tour bus with a guide checking off boxes. They hit Turkey, North Africa, or the Dominican Republic. For the rest of the trip, their vacation looks exactly the same as staying home, except for that one bus tour.
They stay away from the actual cities. They don't see the military presence on the streets, and they completely ignore the poverty.

For me,
Can we report the thread starter for using fake data to back up their opinion again? It’s becoming a pattern. Should they get a warning card for this?

At the end of the day, people are just people. So why does it have to be this way?
Why is there such constant friction between us?
It’s beyond me.
What drives a man
to harbor such pure hatred for another?
Someone explain it to me.
It’s entirely doable. In today's market, self-promotion is everything. If you land in the right circles and someone "important" gives you a nudge, doors fly open.
I worked on a project back in 2015 involving some major stars from YouTube and Instagram. There are people out there who have mastered the art of personal branding so effectively they manage two or three channels totaling over 2 million followers. They can pull in $7 per 1,000 views. Do the math: if someone posts three videos a week with 700,000 views each, that’s $490 per video—or $1,470 a week. Add in Sponsors, and if you become a "preferred partner," you can see nearly $10 per 1,000 clicks.
I saw young people quit their jobs or slow down their studies just to focus on this. They were already clearing more than $10,000.
The second you gain any real clout, useless companies start crawling out of the woodwork, begging you to feature their products and offering serious cash to do it.

In this presidential election, there are as many as 885,437 of those mail-in
ballots, but the most glaring red flag is that there are more than
THREE times as many as the last election! For no discernible reason! (No sudden
cold snap or anything else that would make actually leaving the house
unappealing.)

Furthermore, during the previous presidential elections, those mail-in ballots
didn't move the needle much, because the candidate distribution ON
them WASN'T drastically different from the turnout at the polling stations—
exactly what you would expect. But this time, inexplicably, the gap
IS massive, since Alexander Van der Bellen pulled over 60% via mail-in, even though
he scored under 49% at the actual polling sites!
And The Press admits that with these mail-in ballots,
virtually any kind of manipulation becomes possible:

The mail-in ballots were left unsecured overnight, leading
the President of the Constitutional Court, Robert Holzinger, to remark: "Without 24 hours
of waiting, I find it politically
concerning," meaning he thinks it is politically dubious to wait 24 hours and
leave the votes sitting in a "vacuum" overnight, rather than counting them
on the very same election night:

Back home in the States, people nitpick every tiny detail, yet in Austria, they pull off stunts like this—it is clearly election rigging!

Since mail-in ballots were introduced back in 2007, voter turnout via mail has been on a steady, uninterrupted climb.

The official results from the mail-in ballots are finally being released. You can check the breakdown right here on the government portal. It’s all there in black and white. No sense in guessing when the numbers are public.

Look at these numbers from the 2008 elections: 376,000. Now look at 2013: 543,000. Massive jump.
The numbers don't lie. You can clearly see a significant surge in left-wing support through these results. We already saw this trend emerging after the first round of elections.

That's how they cast their votes in the Presidential 2016 election.
The first round saw 543,000 voters. The second jumped to 766,000.

Check out the official breakdown of the mail-in ballots from the 2016 Presidential election. Everything is laid out right here.
