Some people might find the visuals a bit dull, but I actually loved how much they focused on close-ups; it gave the whole thing this really intimate, documentary-style feel

Without a doubt, my favorite parts were the scenes between Natalie Portman and John Hurt 👍

A beautiful film.
Just like @Steven Newman50, I wasn't quite sure what I was getting into, so I went in without any real expectations.

The animation is stunning 🙏—probably my favorite part of the whole thing. And honestly, I could listen to Liam Neeson talk all day.😍

I’m not going to sit here and dissect the movie or nitpick what worked and what didn't. If I had to describe this film in just one word, it would be "emotion," and when that hits you, there isn't much room left for overthinking.
It really touched me; I think we can all find a little piece of ourselves in this story.
I haven't read the Novel yet, but I'm actually glad I haven't, because some parts of the movie really caught me by surprise. From what I've heard, the film stays very true to the book, so that's definitely next on my reading list.

That scene with the water is definitely a highlight for me.😍

In my opinion, screen time isn't really about whether someone is a lead or a supporting actor; it’s more about where the "weight" of the performance actually sits.
For instance, if Hopkins won an Oscar for a role where he was only on screen for maybe 20 minutes, I’d still argue he was absolutely the lead.🤷

As for Marlon Brando and Al Pacino, I honestly feel they both should have been considered for the lead together.🤷

Thinking about who else fits that mold...🤔

Casey Affleck for The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford.
Daniel Day-Lewis for Gangs of New York.
I’d personally swap out Juliette Binoche and Kristin Scott Thomas for The English Patient.
And River Phoenix for Running on Empty.

I really hope Natalie Portman has found her mojo again after Black Swan.

I’m not usually one for vampire flicks, but I have to say this one was fantastic, even if it gets a little melodramatic at times😬

I haven't seen any of the sequels—to be honest, I didn't even realize they made them🤔

Personally, I’d say the execution of the film itself was just okay.
It stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who plays the guy who exposed the 🙏 leaked audio, and while the story is actually pretty gripping,

The chemistry between Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling is just fantastic 👍

Leonardo DiCaprio definitely has more standout roles under his belt, but honestly, it’s less about his acting range and more about the incredible films he picks
though I’d say Edward Norton is in a completely different league than him 🙏
My absolute favorite performance of his is in American History X; I really hope we see him taking on more leading roles moving forward

This is easily one of my top 10 movies of all time.👍

I didn't even realize there was a remake out there.

I have to admit, I’m feeling a little let down, probably because I went into this with such high expectations

The cast is absolutely stellar, but they just don't get enough breathing room to really flesh out their roles—it feels like there's just too much going on and way too many characters shoved into one story
It’s such a shame that Ralph Fiennes and Frances McDormand didn't get more screen time
I found myself wishing for a bit more energy or some actual tension
Everything felt a bit scattered; you start to settle into one moment and then it immediately jumps to the next before you can even bond with the characters

That said, there were definitely funny moments (the scene with Hobie was my favorite, Clooney was great as usual, and of course, Fiennes was fantastic even in his brief minute, along with Tilda and that group of communists)
All in all, I expected a bit more from Coen
