The love life of a soldier in Movies ·
The movie feels a bit thin—it needs more substance in the subplots for the supporting cast. They aren't unnecessary, but still... I agree: it’s a good film. It gets a little diluted and rushed toward the end, but definitely worth a watch 🙂

northerncrane4 said:Look, you're new here, so I’ll let it slide this time—but just so we're clear—this kind of mindless nonsense won't be tolerated in the future. I don't follow. Are you seriously going to call someone out just because they're passionately defending a director they happen to be personally attached to—give me a break.

If there's no actual story—then the framing becomes more than just justifiable.

What do you guys think Marija Skaricic actually heard under that crowd at the end of "yellow moon" to trigger such a reaction? Personally—and this might be a stretch—I was thinking something like: "I got pregnant at that party where I was just acting wild with some guy, and now I can't tell if I'm carrying a baby or a damn puppy."

One of my old professors used to say: "I am not responsible for your associations!"

Just enough to catch the actual culprits: they aren't sitting in some TV studio, they're out in a Hummer parked right in front of Paramount Pictures 🙂

So, 3 out of 10 being good means the rest are bad? Okay... I’d call that pretty sensational. I’ve been to the last four Sundance Film Festivals (including this one), and looking back, I’d only point to things like *The Deer Hunter*, *The Godfather*, or maybe *Eternal Sunshine*—not trying to rank them, just saying. Even if you compare those to the absolute worst stuff from this year, like *Miracles*, the previous years still look better by that logic.

And when you consider that at, say, the Tribeca Film Festival, they had about 4 major American films in the main lineup (like *The Revenant*, *Lincoln*, and two co-productions), out of 10, you'd actually start to believe we're doing alright...

from trash to treasure

Penelopa - haven't seen it.

Alice in Wonderland - creepy.
Angel - slightly less creepy, but still creepy.
Man under table - I forced myself to sit through this one for exactly an hour. If I'm being honest. The ending is absolute garbage. Just awful.
Love life of a home guard - lasted 45 minutes. Still, more than I expected. You can tell they rushed it at the end.
Proximity - actually well-paced, considering the whole thing takes place in a single elevator. The acting was terrible, though. Given the film cost about 200 or 250 thousand: respect!
ZG price - Kluković-Odvorčić and Jurić were the best, Slijepčević and Ramljak were good, Mirković was okay, everything else was total filler.
Metastasis - nothing left to say. Way too many plot holes for my taste.
Black man - good movie.
Fool - the best one for me.

Haven't checked out the international ones yet. The awards are—I agree—totally unpredictable. Finally! Some actual quality picks for once.

Producing an urban drama entirely shot in the US just turned out to be way too expensive. I mean, who can even pull off a movie like that today on a measly $250,000 budget plus some change from EuroMages... 🤣

Damn... turns out the KERS didn't save us after all 🙂 but oh well, better luck next time for Alonso..

It’s kind of a letdown that one guy gets to walk away with the whole championship title. 😁

You know... I think Hill and the rest of them were a bit too hard on the guy. He wasn't exactly the greatest talent to ever sit in a cockpit, sure, but even guys who won championships like Damon Hill weren't necessarily better drivers than him.
Button's case just proves how much the car matters in this sport. They’re all legends, sure, but until they all get behind the wheel of the exact same ride—which isn't happening—we'll never actually know who's the best.

p.s.
Man, seeing how much fuel Alonso had on board... maybe even that KERS won't save us at the start. 😕

Either way, watching Kimi Raikkonen and Fernando Alonso go at it from the start is going to be a blast, whether they're side-by-side or one ahead of the other. 🙂

Arthur Doyle70, you aren't wrong about Barrichello and Vettel. But even when you're right, you get two different versions of the results—like what's on the F1 site versus what's in the Telegraph...

The critics didn't even mention how Halle got totally wiped out while Willis was dragging her down the street. I know this movie by heart and that's exactly where I turned it off. Pathetic.
