So why lie to an entire nation? You clearly have no clue how to boot an installation CD. 😬 Here is exactly where you can find instructions on how to do it.
Look, what kind of webpage are you even talking about? If the system won't let you repair the current installation, just wipe it and install Windows from scratch.
The only way to wipe it clean is by formatting the partition. 😬 Yeah, you’ll go into that menu, delete all those old partitions holding onto leftover Windows installs, and then just pick one to install the OS on.
If I were you, I'd just wipe that mess you made and do a clean install of the week. You’re never going to be happy with how things are sitting right now.
Arthur White37 said:Thanks, 🙂. Just one more thing. If I wipe the C drive where my XP lives, am I going to lose all the drivers and programs that Windows 7 clearly relies on right now?
Please. What exactly is Windows 7 "using"? It certainly isn't running programs installed under XP, and it definitely isn't touching those old drivers. Go ahead, format that XP partition. You won't need dual-booting both Windows 7 and XP anymore.
You’re basically wiping that entire partition clean and merging its capacity into one of your existing ones. Just make sure you back up any critical files from that drive onto a partition you aren't planning to nuked first.
I have no clue what the issue is. Honestly, just take it to someone who actually knows their way around hardware, because trying to get anything useful out of you is an uphill battle given how little you seem to know about this stuff. Maybe the problem would be obvious if I could actually get my hands on that PC, but from here? It's impossible.
Ask yourself why Elon Musk’s software produces such massive files. There's a reason for it, isn't there? Use it to record, then move over to some heavy-duty editing suite that actually meets your needs for smaller file sizes. I mean, you're going to have to edit the footage anyway, right? You'd be doing yourself a favor by killing two birds with one stone.
