Ashley Gomez said:Why can't he just fix the 😕

rustygardener172, please, please send me a photo from two weeks post-op! 😁

Well, usually you can't correct the tip too much because of breathing issues... like, you actually wouldn't be able to breathe. And since I have thick skin, it's just a mess...
I feel the exact same way about the Vrsak—it’s just a total mess... though if you catch it live, it's somewhat decent, but looking at photos? Absolute disaster...
I'm not sure if anyone else has had any luck with it regarding the Vrsak, but for me, it gave me a tiny bit of a boost (barely, really) and that was it. There's just no way to tone it down...
It’s been seven days since my surgery, and let me tell you, there is a massive amount of congestion in my nose... oh boy.
I make sure to clear it all out properly, though I try to be gentle and not squeeze too hard...
The main point here is functionality 🙂 doctors really push for keeping the packing in for those full five days—which, honestly, is a total pain—but it’s there to support the septum and keep everything stable so nothing shifts around inside. I actually thought I’d be completely wiped out for five whole days... but it actually turned out alright... the only thing was the sleep situation. I couldn't get more than an hour of shut-eye at a time during the night, which left me feeling absolutely trashed and sent my immune system into a tailspin... but nothing too crazy 😉
My doctor is an ENT who doesn't care one bit about how things look if they don't work right first. For him, functionality is everything; he’ll only touch the aesthetics if it actually serves the purpose of breathing better.
Exactly, rustygardener172 😉 ladies... just listen to your gut... I know I certainly did, and things worked out fine for me...
And please, don't even bother looking at the photos... they weren't exactly my finest hour... probably because those people weren't looking for nearly half of what I was looking for in them... 😉)
Honestly, my nose looks absolutely ridiculous in these shots (I just tried taking some new ones, by the way)... in person, it looks nothing like that, I swear.
David Doe runs his own private clinic inside the Almeria shopping complex, right by the Lidl... and just across from Walmart... He also practices at Mercy Hospital, working with high-risk patients dealing with tumors and everything else heavy
None of us on this forum have actually visited him, except for one guy whose nose he completely transformed. My sister and I—who, let’s be honest, are total skeptics and massive pains in the neck—would honestly trade a kidney just to get the results he gave him 😂👍👍👍👍👍😍😍:cerek :
First off, the results look so incredibly NATURAL... you wouldn't even guess someone had work done

He is hands down the best doctor I have ever encountered, and believe me, I only seek out the absolute best. He was the first person I went to for a consultation, and truly the only one. I wasn't even nervous about the surgery because the staff is just so pleasant, relaxed, and genuinely kind. They were joking around the whole time, which made me stop worrying about what they were doing... and mind you, I am a huge wimp who gets bothered by every little ache and pain. As for the anesthesia? It was a dream. The doctor even told me I was lucky enough to get the best anesthesiologist on staff
Compare that to, say, getting a gastroscopy at a private clinic where, after a bit of Valium, I couldn't pull myself together for three days... But after my nose surgery, I felt exactly like my old self immediately. I went straight home, ZERO pain. The doctor is meticulous, brilliant, and gives it his all... just a genuinely good man, unlike most surgeons who walk around looking like they’ve had their own cosmetic tweaks
I found him online and then did some digging, asking several older, more serious people which surgeon was the gold standard... they all pointed to him. And honestly? I don't regret spending those $1,800 one bit. I had a deviated septum and a nose that was problematic from every single angle. Here's another thing: I actually had complications during the procedure—heavy bleeding—and the doctor was visibly distressed and worked incredibly hard to make sure everything turned out exactly as intended... You know what? I would pay EVEN MORE for a master craftsman like this doctor. I apologize if this post feels a bit much, but I just had to share 😁D

Doctor, let's grab a drink sometime!!! 😁
So, my sister and I finally took the cast off today... honestly, I’m speechless. We both just broke down in tears. It’s actually unreal how incredible it looks. After all the nightmare scenarios and complications following my surgery—it felt like my entire nose was being put through a meat grinder—seeing this result... it just looks so natural and beautiful. My sister is just the best for being there.
I don't even know where to start... the surgeon is truly one of a kind. He's so skilled, gentle, attentive, and just... precise. He explains every single little thing, he's genuinely kind, and despite working grueling hours from sunrise to sunset, he stays incredibly upbeat and energetic.
DAVID DOE RULES 🙂 Seriously, if you trust him with your face, you're winning at life...

Oh, and yeah... I can breathe like a freaking DRAGON now! If you don't care about the details, don't bother sliding into my DMs... I'm done following this thread.
Elizabeth Wells10 said:Regarding Davor Džepina... I've honestly only seen a photo of this guy's nose—well, a guy's nose—and I thought it looked great, but all I ever hear are glowing reviews. If I recall correctly, Kate Taylor59 went to him too, and I really admire how he handles his patients.
The anesthesia part seems to be a win for him as well.

Now, Tončić’s work on noses? Absolutely stunning. But, I have to admit, the whole anesthesia thing gives me the jitters. And honestly, the way they handle the tips will probably be the deciding factor for me, since that’s my biggest insecurity. I had no idea there were so many different techniques involved, or that it could be such a major hurdle.

Davor Dzepina is an absolute LEGEND!!!!🙏🙏🙏 My cousin and I both had our procedures done by him this past Tuesday and Wednesday.

I just went back to see him today to get my packing removed 🙂 and man, I am breathing like a dragon right now!
Maria Hall92 said:Bravo... you really think that'll fly while you're still chewing on a cookie? You'll need to pack those tampons... what about when you're pulling the mold out? 🙂

I'll probably need to grab some tampons tomorrow, though I'm not entirely sure about the mold. 🤷
I just have to say... this whole recovery process isn't nearly as easy as some people make it out to be...
You really need nerves of steel and an endless supply of patience. I'm currently on a heavy-duty antibiotic that's absolutely wrecking my stomach, and my throat is killing me from breathing through my mouth all night. Sleep? Forget about it. There’s this constant, nagging pressure from the nasal packing, and for those first two days, my nose felt incredibly strange—which was actually just blood seeping through the packing...
It's tough... you really have to be prepared for all of it...
Honestly, I have to hand it to myself—I was surprisingly brave leading up to the surgery. It’s almost like I wasn't even fully processing what was happening... I was literally staring at the restroom door just thinking about how fast I could get back to that bed. xD The whole crew was great, though; they kept cracking jokes, and the recovery room was actually quite cozy. You’d almost want to take a nap in there (unlike the actual OR, obviously). xD
All things considered, it was a perfect ten. I didn't feel the anesthesia kick in, and I didn't even notice the IV—nothing at all. I just kept thinking, "I can't believe I'm actually here." When I finally came to, my family told me I had a massive grin on my face. My first question? "Wait, what did we operate on again?" xD
The only thing that gave me anxiety was that operating table. It felt tiny, almost like a miniature version of itself. I was low-key terrified I was going to slide right off the edge, haha! :P
Ashley Gomez said:They didn't exactly tie my hands behind my back; I just tucked them right into my pajamas. 🙂 The doctor says this is actually better than them trying to traumatize me further by tying me down. I just kept my other arm extended out beside me while they ran the IV.

Kate Taylor59, don't go getting all worked up about the extraction. Honestly, it’s really nothing...

Thanks. 🙂 Did you start leaking immediately after taking out your tampon?
Ashley Gomez said:Well, here I am, officially joining the ranks of those living life without tampons. 😁 I was absolutely terrified about the extraction, honestly. I was deathly afraid. But then... nothing. I felt this little sting in my right nostril where they stuck the tampon, and while I was just sitting there waiting for them to even touch the left side, he already had it out. Done. Just like that. 😲

I’m breathing like a dragon over here—every single scent is hitting me at once. 🙏 I’m absolutely thrilled... I’m pulling the mold off tomorrow morning, and honestly, I can hardly wait. 😍

Hang in there, Kate Taylor59. Honestly, I’ve been finding it easier and easier to deal with tampons every single day, but mine didn't even budge until the fourth day.

Jeremy Barrett7, I have those exact same nose pads—the ones with the little molded shape—just like in your photo. Honestly, hearing that yours are actually flat is such a relief; I feel a little better about my own situation now. Anyway, congrats on having such a great nose. 😍

Super, I really hope this doesn't end up hurting me. My stomach is actually killing me right now. 🙄
👍
I’ve been thinking... how much longer do I have to wait until Sunday just so I can finally get this crap out of my system?
My throat is killing me, and even though I'm chugging liters of fluids and practically muttering "tick-tock" to myself, nothing is happening...
Anyway, I'm trying my best to stay calm so I can just power through this...
My doctor told me he managed to pull off about 90% of what he originally planned. That last 10% fell through because the bleeding just started going crazy—it was relentless. He couldn't exactly push through that, so he had to pivot to a different method a bit later on. But, apparently, everything turned out fine.
Ashley Gomez said:Well, I suppose I should share some good news with everyone too. 😍

Had my surgery yesterday, and the doctor says my nose looks just like a little candy. 😍 There's zero pain, just a bit of nosebleed here and there, and honestly, I'm still figuring out how to deal with these nasal swabs—my husband is much better at it than I am. 😁

The plan is to leave the swabs in until Friday, 😢 though I get to take the splint off this Saturday.

All in all, I'm pretty happy with things so far; it's been way easier than I anticipated.

Bravo, I am truly happy for you. 😉😍
I don't get my swabs out until Sunday morning...
Haha, thanks, my girls :***
Well, I'm back... huge props to Dr. Dzepina and the incredible staff there.
I was bleeding quite a bit, which left the doctor looking a little disappointed, but once he checked my nose and spotted that deviation on the left side, he took care of that too. He did a whole bunch of things; zero pain, though my throat feels incredibly dry right now and it’s driving me nuts, but hey... the anesthesia was spot on! 🙂

Who would even believe I actually went through with this? I'm a total chicken xD
