I just finished my appointment at the Glumičić Clinic... does anyone here have experience dealing with those tiny pits on the nose—you know, the permanent scars left behind by those cursed blackheads? Honestly, I feel like I look like a block of Swiss cheese right now.
Unfortunately, those bumps are just a normal side effect when you're dealing with a more aggressive procedure—you know, the kind where they narrow the nasal passage and have to reshape the bone structure... it’s common for little irregularities to pop up like that because things haven't quite settled back into their original positions yet.
So, looking back, I completely skipped out on lymphatic drainage after my surgery... and honestly, it’s already been 8 months (who would've thought?), so does anyone know if skipping that might be why this lump formed? I’ve got this little bump right there... and it just won't budge. Some days it's more noticeable, other days it settles down... My doctor basically just shrugged and told me that's just how it goes since he had to perform the whole thing while I was awake, making it a pretty "rough" procedure... He mentioned he could fix it if I opted for a revision, but I really don't have the stomach for being under the knife again just because of one stubborn lump (plus, let's be real, it's visible on one side)... and my stomach is already such a mess. I honestly don't know if I could handle the antibiotics that come with it. -.-
Rachel Martinez94 said:Kate Taylor59 you went to see Dr. Miller, didn't you??

No, I saw Dr. Miller... Davor... though he told me everything was totally standard. It was a pretty intense surgery—lots of bone resetting, grinding, and God knows what else 😂 I’m still telling anyone who will listen that there isn't a better doctor out there. Honestly, it felt less like a medical appointment and more like visiting family... that’s how they welcomed me... just perfect...
It’s been about six months since the surgery... and honestly? I’m dealing with a ton of bumps, and the lines are just... incredibly visible. One side of my nose looks all swollen, while the other feels completely tight. And yeah... because I deal with a lot of blackheads, I've ended up with these two massive pits on my nose. Yup. 🙂)
rustygardener172 said:The front view is gorgeous, honestly, but from the side you can tell there’s still quite a bit of swelling... especially at the tip... I was always mentioning that "bulbous" tip issue. That part takes the longest to settle down... it took me about five months 🙂
It looks great already, but give it a few more months and it’ll be absolutely perfect 😍 👍

Thanks, sweetie. Honestly, as long as it's better than what I started with, I'm happy. It's great 😁 though I have to mention that I've got some subcutaneous bumps that make it look a bit uneven, and I managed to squeeze out some of those tiny whiteheads... plus my skin tone is a bit uneven right now, so just keep all that in mind :P

Oh, one more thing... my doctor didn't say anything about needing any drainage??
My cousin had her surgery when she was only 15, about five years ago... the doctor told us that once she hit her period, maybe around age 15, she'd be good to go.
Did any of your doctors actually bother mentioning that drainage thing to you? Because they didn't say a single word to me...
And while we're on the subject, what's the deal with these lumps after surgery? I've got one right on the bridge of my nose, and let me tell you, it is definitely noticeable...
I honestly feel like if they actually saw the full face, they’d change their tune entirely 🙂
For crying out loud, any surgeon can give you a decent nose if you play your cards right... honestly, they’ll probably do a better job than the last guy... you just have to know how to "work" the doctor, get on their good side, and you're set...
Ashley Gomez said:Honestly, your old man doesn't even look that bad in the photo, despite all that trash-talking you did.😁

The new guy is alright; you can tell he’s still a bit swollen, just like mine.

Ugh... and those were just phone pictures... believe me, seeing him in person was a total disaster...
Especially if you're looking at his whole face at once... tiny eyes, nose like a potato... 😁
Yeah... swollen... ☕
Honestly, if you ask me... you had an incredible intuition there... but hey, everyone’s entitled to their own choices 🙂
So, my old nose—it actually turned out great, honestly—but I don't have any photos of it here at the moment because I ended up deleting them from my laptop... I'll post them as soon as I find them though...

The new nose... still pretty swollen... just two weeks out from the surgery.

Matthew Lee91 said:haha, glad you're finally satisfied. 👍 Just a couple more things I wanted to ask: how much time actually passed between those first consultations and the actual surgery? (I'm really crossing my fingers it wasn't more than a month.) Also, did they put you under with general anesthesia, or was it just local? thanks 🙂

I’m planning on setting up a consultation with Davor Džepina tomorrow. Honestly, he seems like my best bet since he specializes in ENT. I've run into quite a few negative reviews regarding Ostojić, and while Glušac was actually my first choice, his office is just way too far out of the way.

thanks to you 🙂 So... it’s been about two weeks now. During our initial consultation, he mentioned he could potentially move things up, but he gave us some breathing room to sit with everything and really process it. Honestly, since I tend to be a bit of a skeptic by nature, I wasn't entirely sure what to expect—I was definitely hesitant. But I have to say, I'm genuinely surprised. The doctor did an absolutely stellar job.😉 My sister and I are both completely satisfied with how things turned out. Honestly, even if we had a choice in the matter, we wouldn’t hesitate for a second—we’d go back to him in a heartbeat.
We were leaning heavily toward Opcom for this. Honestly, he’s just the better call for a procedure like this. Beyond anything else, his team is top-tier—they really have the best crew around. Plus, the anesthesiologist is an absolutely wonderful guy. From what we've gathered, nobody under his care has run into issues with anesthesia, which is a huge relief... especially since my cousin and I both had smooth experiences. And that’s saying something, because personally, I’m incredibly sensitive to medications and sedatives.
Glusac was my top pick too, honestly. But we ended up really liking Dzepina during the consultations. Everything he said actually held water—it made sense. He didn't seem like one of those guys who would just take your money and do whatever you ask regardless of the consequences...
So, among other things, Dzepina is really pushing the idea of keeping those tampons in for as long as possible—like, the full three to five days. Apparently, they aren't just there for show; they actually act as a sort of internal support to keep the septum from shifting out of place. If you’re actually interested in that kind of detail, maybe just shoot them a private message? I haven't been following this thread very closely lately. Honestly, the doctor answered everything I needed to know, and frankly, that was enough for me.
I don't know... personally, I didn't see any blood or even a hint of spotting when I woke up, and nothing since. Honestly, it feels totally fine, almost like I wasn't even under the knife 😂 except for the fact that I've got some "packing material" inside me. I keep rinsing everything out with saline constantly, but I can breathe through my nose just fine without having to pre-moisten it first...
rustygardener172 said:Honey, if memory serves me right, blowing your nose like that isn't exactly recommended... I mean, why would you even do that?! Nasal irrigation? Sure. But aggressive blowing? No.
It’s a completely different story when you saturate the nasal passages with saline and then gently clear out the blood—that's fine. But just blowing hard on a dry nose and straining like that... don't do it.

My doctor told me it was fine, provided I didn't get too forceful about it.🤷
Just wanted to pick your brains on something...
It’s been about ten days since my surgery, and my nose just won't stop running. Plus, there's this nagging ache right where the stitches were. How are you guys handling the blowing? Is it possible I'm being too aggressive with it? I'm not really squeezing hard or anything, just blowing quite frequently... and honestly, my nose looks even bigger than before; I'm guessing the swelling hasn't even peaked yet.
And what's the deal with the miteser? I've got miteser all over my face from the miteser... and my eyes are stinging. Probably because of the nose situation...
Matthew Lee91 said:Hey everyone! Just a new user here who has basically lurked through this entire thread😁

Based on what you all have shared, my shortlist currently includes Davor Džepina, Ostojić, Tončić, and Bastajić—though it looks like Bastajić doesn't even have an official website.
From what I gathered, his price seems to include one overnight stay after surgery, but does anyone know how Ostojić and Džepina handle that? (The one from the Midwest area who doesn't work with Glumičić 😬).

Sorry to just barge in like this, but do you happen to know if the price drops if it's strictly rhinoplasty without a septal deviation? I know that’s standard practice with other surgeons, and probably him too, but he hasn't listed specific pricing on his site. Thanks in advance. 😁

I'm not sure if you can stay overnight with Dr. Davor Dzepina, but I'm sure it's an option...
As for the cost, it'll likely be a bit cheaper if there's no deviation....
I definitely recommend Davor Dzepina; I actually dreamed about him last night, haha, I'm honestly just fascinated by the man. 😛
Elizabeth Wells10 said:Oh, please... 😢 That’s actually my biggest fear. Honestly, I’d go through the whole surgery just to fix that stupid, ugly tip. I get that you can’t really slim it down much if the tip itself is already narrow and small, but for heaven's sake—if the base is wide and the bridge is bulky, surely bringing everything down to a normal, average size won't mess up my breathing? At least, I hope not.

It’s weird, though. I always assumed nose jobs were a nightmare primarily because of breaking bones and shaving down humps, but apparently... the real issue is the tip.

My surgeon told me: "If I narrow the bones higher up, the skin will pull tight and everything will naturally look smaller." And honestly? He was right... it looks great, and the tip looks better now too... automatically. Because, as he put it, the tip always needs to be slightly wider than the rest of the bridge. He basically said, "I can train your skin to sit tighter at the tip so it looks smaller, but don't come crying to me about how you breathe..."
If you have wide nasal bridges, maybe there's more wiggle room... In my case, my tip is huge and my bridge is tiny...
And regarding the cartilage on that hump... he told me he couldn't thin it out any further since it's already quite thin. It turns out it's actually my thick skin making the tip look so large :/ So, you can't really blame the doctor by saying, "You could have done more," or "You should have fixed this"... NO, you can't. The guy did EVERYTHING he could, he worked hard, and it’s in his best interest for me to be happy with my nose and his work...
