The Delimano seems fine enough, though I still find myself sticking to the old-school method of wood smoke and open flames, even if I am seriously considering picking up a smoker this fall.

Look, when I head out to visit my sister in a small town outside of Austin, that’s when I go with the whole fire and smoke setup since she has the house and all the gear. In any other scenario, I just use the Delimano, which honestly works perfectly well.

Anyway, I have tomorrow off, then Friday, and then the whole weekend. It turns out the last day of school hits right on the first day of summer. Since summer is officially kicking off, I absolutely have to:

All things considered, at 1:40 AM, this is still a total nightmare.😁

So, I picked up a Weber grill on a 50% off sale last week, feeling pretty smart about it, but then tonight I’m trying to get dinner going—grilling a steak over the coals and figuring I’ll crack two sunny-side-up eggs onto the flat part—only for one egg to slide right through a gap in the grate and vanish into the ash.
And just like that, my evening is ruined. 😁

God, it's just... 😁

Exactly that. I had the same experience a few years back when I was out in the mountains near Aspen and caught Sergei Trifunovic in a state of pure ecstasy.

Dennis Hall41 said:And don't even get me started on the media; they’re all just chasing clicks with these melodramatic headlines like "fighting for dear life," "suffocating," or "burning in hell." Honestly, I could see them right in the middle of a mosh pit at a hardcore punk show. If you haven't broken a sweat at a rock concert, you're probably a statue. 😁

Pure nonsense, though it's almost too predictable to be called bullshit.

Exactly. It's just that wave of elitist, out-of-touch New York crowd arriving and acting like they've never actually experienced real life. 🙄 😁

I spent two whole hours stuck in the wrong line because I’m a complete idiot! )))

Anyway, there was a pretty decent write-up over on CNN.
And someone even posted this little clip <3

*buying and selling*, I’m clearly making typos here, aren't I? )))

Anyway, Tomica is heading out to New York this Monday, so we’ll be on the move... naturally, so we'll keep you posted!

Just a few facts about how my life unfolded:
A few years back, on the exact day I decided to move to where I am now, I found this charming little studio right in downtown Chicago on Zillow and just told myself, "This is it, girl, this is home." I called the owner, did all my due diligence, worked out the lease, and moved in on September 1st, living off my savings and some unemployment benefits for a while
Fast forward a year, and I had landed a great, high-paying job in my field just five minutes away from the apartment.
Pretty soon, I worked things out with the landlord—who is honestly a wonderful guy—to buy the place from him at a incredibly low price, because let’s be real, I never could have afforded it otherwise given that my parents are just blue-collar workers.
After that, skipping all those parasitic real estate agencies, I went from bank to bank until I secured a mortgage designed for young professionals in their thirties; the banker I dealt with was also a total gem and offered to review the legal fine print of the sales contract for free so I wouldn't have to hire an attorney, so I brought him a nice bottle of wine as a thank you.
And so, in my thirties, I managed to buy myself a place for next to nothing—a place I knew from the very start was meant to be mine. And of course, I still own it today.🙂
What's the moral of the story? There isn't one. ))

Dennis Hall41 said:It was a stunning performance, though I suspect that's only because they didn't mess too much with an already untouchable classic. Lynn completely botched it with those cheesy AOR vocals, but Petty managed to capture that unbearable sense of despair found in Harrison's legendary delivery, and Prince absolutely killed it on the solo, as expected.

Check out this incredible acoustic demo for this masterpiece; honestly, it might be the best demo I've ever heard, especially with that brilliant final verse they somehow left off the studio version:

Bohemian Rhapsody
While my guitar gently weeps
As I’m sitting here, doing nothing but aging
Still my guitar gently weeps
