It’s May Day today, which also happens to be my cousin's birthday—the very same relative from whom I inherited this unfortunate penchant for hedonism and those occasional bouts of dark melancholy. 😁 I suppose I should say something, though I’m rarely in the mood to engage with this level of nonsense. It’s been quite a while since we last spoke.

Spent all of yesterday stuck at yet another tedious family lunch, so today it’s just me, some peace and quiet, and maybe a glass of Jack Daniel's to make it through 🙄

Yeah, that overhyped adolescent garbage actually is in the film, and Lana too. ))
So, over the last two weeks, I’ve had to deal with emergency services showing up at my workplace three separate times—sometimes it's the police, sometimes it's an ambulance—and today was yet another run-in with the paramedics. You seriously wouldn't believe the absolute chaos happening over in the pediatric ward right now. Anyway, I'm finally back home, feeling completely drained from work and this seasonal allergy bullshit, and all I know is that I won't be turning on a TV tonight, mostly because I don't even own one. It just suddenly crossed my mind that a few years ago, I was out in Chicago and ended up drinking heavily with Chris Dale, who actually plays bass for Bruce Dickinson (!), which remains such a legendary moment in my life that, for some reason, I'm suddenly feeling incredibly happy about it! )))
First off, I haven't stockpiled a single thing, nor do I plan to. Honestly, I couldn't care less about any of it; I don't even follow the news beyond the headlines. I just happened to see that the meteorologists are claiming today is officially the first day of spring, rather than tomorrow. To make matters worse, my mother tells me her husband didn't even bother to wish me a Happy Father's Day yesterday. 🤣 Of course, I'm the one being difficult here—that's just how we talk back home. ))
Anyway, it's still the weekend and apparently the first day of spring, so I've decided to actually enjoy myself, because in these heavy times, I think that’s the only sensible way to live. So, a little bit of Madonna to lift the mood, since her stuff always cheers me up. 😁
