I finally got my vaccination and now I’m just sitting here on the subway. I don't even have a ticket, so I'm just praying the transit police don't show up. 🙂
Tomorrow marks the final day of schooling for my lot, and honestly... They’re basically acting like toddlers crying over spilled milk. But hey, what else should I expect? ))
Well, it’s finally happening: RADIIIIM is actually going live in person after two days! 👋 Honestly, I was already reaching my breaking point with all that online schooling; it feels completely pointless and frankly, I can't stand it. On top of that, I managed to get into two separate arguments with a female colleague within just forty-eight hours, despite us making up yesterday; we ended up clashing again today because I simply realized she’s just plain foolish, that's all.
Another thing is that the school will likely be moving to a new location in downtown Chicago next year since our current building in the city center is becoming totally unusable, which means I’ll be stuck commuting for an eternity using public transit. 👎 At least I did manage to convince my boss to let us start at 9 AM instead of 8 AM starting next year, because getting that extra hour of sleep actually makes a massive difference. 🙂
Exactly my point. Besides, the real issue with Hollywood is that they’ve become so incredibly dim-witted in their own literalism that ever since Trump, they can’t even begin to grasp who or what their actual enemy is anymore.
Lisa Davis46 said:uhhhh, Jamie Davis9... 😍 that whole 80s era tour for the River song was legendary, but honestly, this specific live version might just be their absolute peak performance.
Paul Jones7 said:Cohen is absolutely masterful with his lyrics I actually dig this take on his work because it perfectly highlights the exact track that hits home: Everybody Knows
Honestly, I don't really feel that sting from this one. For instance, if he were to stand on stage at a concert and explain how a close friend once cheated him out of his songwriting credits—and why that betrayal actually makes the music better 😁, you'd realize that nothing he sings is just idle humming, and that his specific brand of melancholic cynicism is something nobody else can quite capture quite like he does... and, I don't know, I find that relatable.

Today finally made up for all that nonsense from Friday. I hiked up a hill with an incredible view, trekked through a gorgeous forest, and spent some time reading a great book in a perfect little setting right by the riverbank. 😍Honestly, looking at those lovely people... I could pack my bags and head off on a vacation just like that right this second. 😵
It’s honestly pathetic how two old-timers can just swoop in and steamroll a third one without a second thought. ...
Honestly, let's just leave her alone; she isn't worth the breath. 🙄
Whenever someone has the audacity to claim that anyone could deliver a better performance than Cohen, I immediately recognize them for what they truly are: a complete idiot. There is absolutely no way anyone else can touch him. Hallelujah.
wiredmason61 said:haha, you're going? That's actually pretty cool. 🙂 I'm honestly just waiting for things to warm up a bit before heading over to a dive bar with Paul Jones7; even if we don't end up doing anything brilliant, it'll be nice. I haven't been out to a show since last March.
I’m going. It is quite frankly a necessity for me to attend, mostly because I want to spare some poor, innocent civilian from my presence.
Anyway, this could have been handled differently. This was posted way too early.
Whatever I take, I give back with interest haha! 😁*
Are we doing this? OH, WE ARE DEFINITELY DOING THIS!
*Tickets starting at $43 go on sale this Thursday, April 22nd, at 9:00 AM through Ticketmaster locations and online. If there are any left on the day of the show, they’ll be priced at $50.
