It’s enough to drive anyone absolutely insane, 🙄 😁

Jason Mendoza said:I feel like modern music just lacks that raw, visceral emotion you used to find at old-school shows or when watching the legendary bands back in the day.

What actually terrifies me isn't even the loss of soul in the music, but the growing realization that we might be heading toward an era where live concerts vanish entirely; personally, I’ve had my fill of the scene, but my heart aches for the kids—the high schoolers and college students—who are being forced to grow up in such a hollow, pathetic era. :/

By the way, regarding TV shows, I’ve been scrolling through the forums and it seems everyone is obsessed with soap operas. 👍 looking at you, Ashley Grant66. 😁

😁 Thanks! And that goes for sailing, too! 🙂 Well, I suppose we could go for another party today, if anyone’s actually up for it. Not that I'm complaining, really.

Let’s be honest, we all know that most of us lurking on this thread aren't exactly living our best, most polished lives out there in the real world. 🙂

wiredmason61 said:Honestly, between the chaos at the office and everything else hitting my plate over the last ten days, I was reaching a breaking point, making this morning's aimless wandering an absolute necessity for my sanity. I suppose I'll just have to keep doing this until it finally becomes a habit, won't I? 😁

No problem at all. ...

If those ratios hold up, you can rest easy. 👍

It’s the exact same thing that went down at that concert in Russia; you can see that same raw emotion vibrating through the crowd there. I can't help but feel a sense of profound exhaustion whenever I think about those massive, chaotic rock festivals held out in the middle of nowhere, like those old monster shows they used to run in the outskirts of DC. There’s just something inherently draining about that level of organized mayhem.

Is it just me, or has modern music become completely devoid of any actual soul?

What exactly do you mean when you use the term "modern music"? It’s such an incredibly vague descriptor that I find myself wondering if we're even talking about the same thing.

So, I ordered some takeout right as my workday was wrapping up a few days ago, and then the delivery driver calls my cell. Honestly, I panicked a little—I thought maybe he’d collapsed in the lobby or something. I mean, sure, I live in a top-floor apartment, but it's only the third floor, not exactly a mountain climb. I actually asked him if he was alright or if I should call 911, which felt a bit dramatic of me, I suppose. He just told me, "No, no, I'm fine, I'm just completely exhausted and can't go any further... can we just meet halfway?"
So, I head down halfway through the hallway, and what do I run into? There he is, slumped over like a sack of flour, looking absolutely spent. He just stares at me and mutters about how exhausted he is, claiming he can't take another step and just needs to crash in bed and pass out.
Look, I already told him—just go, man, take a breather, everything is going to work out fine. Honestly, I’m totally on board with that, especially since I’m definitely not the delivery guy. 😁
I found myself laughing out loud, just there by myself.

Seriously though!

I’m just posting this here as a little insurance policy in case the Yankees blow it tonight, though I have a gut feeling they won't. 😁

I honestly don't understand why nobody bothered to explain the sheer lack of logic here, where some idiot claims that hole 11 actually represents 10 and 15 instead of just being a plain old 11 for a square. 🍿
Is it even worth mentioning that I ended up missing my meeting at the local park? ))

homesick 😠 😁

🤣 Just kidding. 😛 Actually, it was pretty great.

wiredmason61 said:I think I could get used to this constant freezing. 😬 Seriously, yesterday I hiked up a nearby hill despite the bitter wind. After an hour and a half, the sun finally hit, melting the ice and snow while the wind dried everything out... it was a total sensory overload. 😁

just like an Ikebe shakedown ...

Awesome! 👍 I have some board meetings scheduled for tomorrow and the day after, but my boss said we’re moving them outdoors due to pandemic concerns—basically, we'll be meeting in the open air, and he even mentioned that if anyone wants to bring their own drinks, they're more than welcome to. 🙄

wiredmason61 said:What an exhausting week it has been. 🙂 I’ve spent the entire morning just nursing a massive cup of coffee and trying to mentally prepare myself for the mountain of tasks ahead.

I ended up visiting my sister today—we hadn't actually crossed paths in months by pure chance—and honestly, it was such a wonderful surprise to catch up, so we're planning to hang out again tomorrow, though this time we'll be recharging at her little cabin tucked away deep in the Blue Ridge Mountains. haha!

Enjoy your break, and Happy Easter to anyone celebrating. 😳 😁 Cheers! ))

It’s true, the South isn't exactly shaking anymore, but honestly, if I were in his shoes, I still wouldn't be backing down just yet. 😎 The odds are slim, sure, but I'd take them ANY DAY OF THE WEEK! 😛

I guess we should just thank your hard work ☕

Honestly, it’s hardly any surprise they despise us when we’re being this decent : D : damn:

roughly. 😬

Anyway, General Mitu puts it this way: we're basically that one-album phenomenon from the early 2000s, and my record label—bless them—is actually letting me, along with (🙏 🤣), head into the studio at the end of this month to record a massive 152 tracks!!! 🙏🙏 Nine hours of pure, raw chaos... all brand new stuff!! 😁

...and one of those tracks is

absolute garbage 🎉
