I went into my local clinic this morning for a minor procedure under local anesthesia that was supposed to be a quick twenty-minute fix. Instead, it dragged on for nearly an hour because the incision had to go deep into the muscle, and since the numbing agent couldn't reach that far down via injection, they actually had to cut through part of it while I was wide awake.
Once it was finally over, the nurse—not even joking—told me most people wouldn't have been able to handle it and that I did an amazing job. She then suggested I lie down in the waiting room for about fifteen minutes just so they could monitor me and make sure I didn't pass out or anything. I told her there was absolutely no need for that; I just grabbed a taxi and headed straight home. Honestly, what can I say? I’m just built differently. 🙏 ))
