Mine wasn't super asymmetrical before, but it's definitely not perfectly level now either.
By the Holy Spirit.
Back home now. 😁
Man, that feeling when they finally pulled the swab out... what a relief. Everything smells so much better already. My nose is still running a bit, but I feel like a new person.
Dr. Gudelj operated on me yesterday around noon for my septoplasty. My family came by to visit around 3, and I was still a bit groggy when they woke me up. No swelling around the eyes or anything, and my nose doesn't really hurt... just dealing with some bloody discharge and it's hard to cough. The doctor said everything should be set in five days.
How does a septoplasty affect that?
In the early morning, breathing through one nostril is easy, but by the afternoon, I'm struggling with the other. No clue why. I'm asking about her because I feel like my sense of smell has weakened as things have gotten worse, so I want to know if it'll improve after the surgery.
It’s changing for me. My doctor said it happens sometimes... How was your sense of smell before, versus now?
So glad everything turned out okay and you're on the mend. I've got less than three weeks until my surgery, but fingers crossed with the Holy Spirit. How was it for you before... could you barely breathe through your nose at all?
Thanks for the info 😉

What kind of trouble did you have with the deviation? Is everything better now? For me, both nostrils sometimes work at 50% capacity or less... sometimes I breathe better through one than the other (the second one is almost completely blocked), and most of the time they just swap sides during the day. There are days when I can only breathe through my mouth. And my sense of smell has been weakened for years now...
Back on August 30th, I saw Dr. Gudelj at the Holy Spirit clinic. He diagnosed me with a deviated septum. I'm supposed to start getting the necessary tests done over the next few days, then check into the hospital on November 14th. From what I've heard, they usually do the surgery the very next day, but I'm not sure how long they keep you overnight. I've only ever heard good things about Dr. Gudelj, so I'm hoping for the best. If anyone else has been in his care, let me know... any feedback is welcome.

I don't know much about current prices, but shoulder pads should run you about $100, helmets will be at least double that, and you can find cleats pretty much anywhere. You'll need an oversized jersey because there's no way you're pulling it over those pads. Since American football isn't exactly huge here, finding used gear is going to be tough, and I have no clue where they even sell the new stuff locally. Your best bet is probably just ordering through eBay or something... 🙂

The ball is the least of our worries; the protective gear costs an absolute fortune. To start out, if you're just playing flag football, it isn't quite as pricey. 😁

You can find the basics online and just watch a ton of games.

Found a torrent source for NFL games and SportsCenter. Think I'm gonna get into this sport... probably won't hit the same as American football, but I'm digging it. 😉
