hiddenmarlin14 said:Do you disinfect your hands before—or maybe after—you go digging through your purse for your car keys? 🤔

I don't even have a key—the car just unlocks and starts via voice control. 😁

Susan Kim91 said:🙂 Watch out—he might bring home something way more dangerous than a virus. 😲 😵 You’re exhausted from a long pregnancy, you just gave birth, you’ve got a cold, you aren't exactly feeling your best, you're a bit of a mess, haven't even had time to shower... Meanwhile, he's a fit guy with a high drive, it's spring, hormones are everywhere... Just do the math. 😳 🤣

And for the record, I still shower every single day. 🙂

So you think I should go after him with a baseball bat? 🤔

I wear a mask and hold my breath whenever I'm in Walmart😳

driftingmarlin5 said:Well, your husband goes 😳

And I go everywhere—and I still haven't caught it 🥳

Susan Kim91 said:Right, so that’s why he brought COVID home to you 😳 🐔
Whatever—just divorce him, leave him with the kids, and come live with me ☕ 🤣

hiddenmarlin14 said:I mean, okay, wherever he goes to work, he's interacting with people—it's not like he's sitting alone in some empty warehouse, right? 🤔

Why is everyone ganging up on the poor guy? 😳
He's been convicted via summary judgment 😁

hiddenmarlin14 said:Why haven't you hit the grocery store? 🤔 And who actually came to visit you over the weekend? 🤔 Were you at church, sugar? 🤔

Well, I head out under full combat gear—😳
I don't host guests, and I certainly don't go to church. 🐔

House, work, work, house—he isn't exactly living his best life while I'm over here wasting away. 🙂

There is no way I caught COVID—I haven't even left my house lately. 🐔

hiddenmarlin14 said:Look, regarding those top two poll responses—I don't really get the second one.🤔

So, basically... is it actually normal to enjoy being a stay-at-home parent—cleaning, tidying, putting kids to bed—and having nothing else going on in your life?

I've lost my sense of smell and taste—😲 I can't even taste horseradish.😲

We aren't serving peppers today.

Back to the topic at hand:

I had planned on whipping something up today—but given my sinuses and just feeling generally subpar, nothing's happening. 😳 I told my husband to just grab a rotisserie chicken from Safeway on his way home from work. ☕

Thanks for this chaos—my luck's been absolute garbage lately, I guess. 😳

C) Just stupid, mindless drivel. 😳

I shut that down ages ago—mostly because a few loudmouths started making a scene and protesting. 😳

Look, I’m sorry—but you can't really post here anymore. You're constantly live-streaming or heading out somewhere, and frankly, I just don't have the bandwidth to keep up with it all. 🙂

Easy there, dustypilot11... 😳
Remind me which one I'm supposedly keeping all to myself. 🤔

Modesty isn't dead, it just moved away from the fire🙂

I finally unfollowed all those idiots on Instagram—now my feed is nothing but travel pages showing off pretty destinations👋.
And Mohamed Salah, he's alright.

You're a lifesaver, so you get a pass ☕
Downloading doesn't really cross my mind right now—I'm freezing my tail off and thinking about finally getting the fireplace going 😳

I was just thinking—if Josh gets his own chat, why wouldn't you just open one too? 🤔
A private space just for me, I suppose. No housewives allowed—they drive me crazy—and definitely none of those people constantly bragging about how much they livestream 😳.
Nadal can pop in whenever, but only if I give him the green light ☕.

Anyway, it's Monday, it’s raining, and my sinuses are acting up—yay me ☕. I'm not getting anything done today. Just going to rock the baby and deal with this massive headache 👋.

I honestly don't know whether to admire women who actually enjoy being stay-at-home moms 24/7, or just assume they're from another planet 😳.
Drew Lee9 said:that would be a sin—you should at least share them with someone once in a while.🤣

anyway, you're a pretty attractive young mom.🙏 👍

I might give that some thought.😁

Thanks 🕺

Megan Gray4, those snails of yours are great.😁
Michelle Bennett14, I'm liking the story.👍

Flawless, I'm still waiting on that second one—the one that was promised.😁

Change is the only constant, I guess.

Out of all the things that have happened in my life—the good, the bad, the messy—nothing has fundamentally shifted my entire existence quite as deeply or comprehensively as becoming a parent.
It’s an entire spectrum of shifts, starting with the fact that your body simply doesn't belong to you anymore. Your chest changes size overnight, and then there’s the stomach situation—you eventually lose sight of your own feet.
Then there are those middle-of-the-night moments where you wake up with an uncontrollable, inexplicable urge to eat pickles straight from the jar dipped in Nutella.
Inside, there's this little alien kicking and playing soccer with my kidneys and spleen; it sounds painful, but somehow, it’s actually a beautiful sensation.
Just when you think you’ve settled into being a total wreck, labor begins—a process that, in all its raw intensity, serves as a brutal reminder of just how resilient and strong the female body can be.
And then, there it is: a tiny, wrinkled, red, screaming little ball that is, naturally, the most beautiful thing in the world to me.
After that, the carousel starts spinning at a hundred miles an hour. The baby has a million different needs, and with every single one of theirs, one of mine seems to vanish.
They need milk, then they need soothing at three in the morning, then they need playtime right when I was finally about to sleep, then a diaper change, then more milk, then another diaper, then more comfort... it’s just a relentless cycle.
Suddenly, you realize you don't even remember what it felt like to drink a cup of coffee while it was still hot, or the sensation of sleeping through the night, or wearing a shirt without a stain, or walking into a living room that isn't covered in random toys you inevitably step on barefoot.
They are little terrorists, really. And the strangest part—the part that makes no sense—is that despite all the exhaustion, you adore them. It’s Stockholm Syndrome, plain and simple. You love this child, your little captor, with everything you are.
Why am I typing this out?
Mostly so Drew Lee9’s contest doesn't go without entries, though, truthfully, it’s probably just some sentimental impulse.
Because these terrorists will grow up, and with every passing day, their demands will diminish. They’ll become adults—independent, strong—and my own needs will slowly resurface. I'll be able to drink coffee in peace, my body will feel like mine again, and the living room might actually stay clean.
But I know I'll look back on these days with a certain level of nostalgia, so I'll leave this here as a permanent record on the internet. As much as I’m looking forward to feeling like myself again, I know I’m going to miss this chaos.
Like I said, Stockholm Syndrome. There’s no cure. 😁

He’s survived this forum—which is arguably worse than facing a federal indictment 😁

And now she’s trying to lecture me on quotas... as if I haven't heard enough from her already 🤣
