Arthur Hill2 said:Betting $2.30 on Atlanta is practically a layup at this point. The Chicago Bulls have been playing completely flat lately, and their defense—which is usually their bread and butter—is a total disaster. Plus, Rose isn't in the lineup tonight, so this $2.30 price feels like a gift.
I’m not so sure about that. The Bulls have actually proven they can hold their own without him, and if I recall correctly, Atlanta is dealing with a massive string of injuries themselves.🤷
Personally, I'd rather take the money on Orlando. The New York Knicks are missing both Jeremy Lin and Amar'e Stoudemire, and even Carmelo Anthony's status is questionable; even if he does suit up, he won't be at 100% because of that groin injury.
Could someone please walk me through what’s actually going on with this pick? I’m struggling to make sense of it. On another note, I really wouldn't count on them touching the Nash squad either; I find it hard to believe Miami is just going to steamroll them. They haven't looked particularly convincing lately, whereas the Suns are playing with some serious momentum right now. My money is on a much tighter game—I'd be surprised if Miami walks away with more than a 10-point lead.
Can someone please fill me in on what on earth is going on with the Portland Trail Blazers? Their performance lately has been absolutely abysmal. Are they dealing with a massive injury bug or just a complete lack of cohesion? I’ve been thinking about taking them on against the Bucks, but honestly, I’m feeling pretty shaky about it. 🤷
I honestly have my doubts about whether the Kings can replicate that kind of performance against Memphis. Given how much Sacramento struggles inside the paint—averaging 48 PPG allowed, which puts them dead last at #30—and their inability to stop fast breaks (allowing 17.4 PPG, also sitting at #30), a win feels like a massive reach. Memphis sits comfortably in the top five offensively in those exact categories. In their last head-to-head matchup against Memphis, the Kings were absolutely bullied in the paint by an 18-point margin, and that was even without Zach Randolph in the lineup. Memphis knows how to play defense; they force opponents into high turnover rates (averaging 17.1) and lead the league in steals (averaging 10.2). All things considered, when facing a complete Memphis squad, Sacramento’s chances of pulling off an upset are slim to none. 🙂
Thanks. So, what's your take on Houston? Do you think they could pull it off against them? 😉
What’s everyone’s take on Sacramento? They’ve managed to string two wins together now, absolutely dismantling Boston by 25 and taking down Minnesota by 16. Given the current odds sitting at 2.30, the value looks pretty incredible to me.
James Taylor3 said:The Blazers are absolutely loaded with draft picks for next season. Given how the rest of the league is looking right now, there is simply no way they tank all the way to the bottom; they'll probably only slide down a few spots. 🤷
I suspect they’re going to try to make a run for the playoffs, though with this specific roster—led by that absolute madman Felton ( 🤦 )—that's going to be an uphill battle, to say the very least.
Exactly. It makes zero sense for them to intentionally chase a high pick when the playoffs are practically within their reach.
Those pathetic Knicks... I'd say bet big against them, considering how many turnovers they're coughing up. Even Jeremy Lin had an off night. This whole "Linsanity" hype train is going to derail pretty fast once people realize he can barely find his way to the rim.
Mark Williams15 said:Indiana vs. Atlanta: It’s basically just missing Jeff Foster for Indiana, while Atlanta is dealing with injuries to Al Horford, DeMarre Carroll, and Joe Johnson—plus Green and McGrady are questionable. Indiana already beat them by 11 earlier this season. They’re sitting at home with an 11-4 record. I suspect the odds will drop soon, so you might want to grab it while you can.😁
How long is the injury list for those guys? They took down the Hawks and OKC in their last two outings, so I’m fairly certain they were playing without those players then, too. Indiana just got hammered by 20 against Chicago. Sure, they had a six-game winning streak right before that, but let’s be honest: two of those wins were against the Hornets and the Bobcats. As soon as they run into a real contender, they start looking shaky. Personally, I wouldn't touch the moneyline here if I were you.
Any word on the injury report for Cleveland? Is Kyrie Irving actually suited up for this one? He’d be starting against Utah, which would certainly change the complexion of the game.
Denver might actually pull this one off, though I can't help but wonder about their injury situation—has everyone actually recovered yet? They did manage to take down the Portland Trail Blazers in their last outing, so maybe they're finally finding their rhythm again.
If Kobe Bryant steps onto the court, he won't be at a hundred percent, which means I'm predicting he finishes with under 28 points. Along those same lines, I don't see the LA Lakers breaking 95 points. Does anyone actually agree with that assessment, or am I just being overly pessimistic?
Is Goron Pekovic playing tonight? If he sits out, I’d say we should look at the Minnesota total going under 99 points. He usually puts up about 20 on his own, so even if it isn't a guarantee, that's a pretty significant margin to work with. 🙂
Who’s taking the Sacramento Kings? Personally, I think grabbing them at 2.30 odds is a total steal. Even though they've been struggling with a six-game losing streak lately, don't forget they actually went toe-to-toe with the Chicago Bulls and Miami Heat, and even managed to take down the Oklahoma City Thunder. It’s high time they finally grab a win, and honestly, the Washington Wizards aren't exactly anything to write home about.🤷
Arthur Hill2 said:Right, because clearly, the guy reporting this is heading straight to a chiropractor before tip-off, and the coach just confirmed that Rose is out—Rose himself even chimed in to say he’s seeing a back specialist tomorrow.
Alright, so I guess that means the odds are shifting in favor of Boston.

Both teams took it easy on the rotation yesterday, so they should be coming in fresh... based on everything I'm seeing, this looks like an over. I’m eyeing the Los Angeles Lakers landing around 95, while the Toronto Raptors should easily clear 80. Honestly, I think the line is set at least 5 buckets too low.
And here's another thought—imagine hitting 53 points in just the first quarter.
I’ve been overthinking my bets on Portland for nothing, and honestly, I probably shouldn't have even touched the Lakers game either. That said, I have to admit, Lin is absolutely tearing it up again today.
