If you ask me, you really have to bet against the favorites when they look this shaky.
I still have some funds left in my account. $8.25 Oh, look at me being all clever now. If I had actually used my head, I probably would have played the Lakers, the Celtics, or Oklahoma. Maybe even the Trail Blazers, along with a few others—though honestly, I couldn't quite decide which ones to pick.
Boston, Denver, or Oklahoma City? Boston is finally firing on all cylinders—they’ve managed to string five wins together, which is a massive relief. The Lakers have dropped two straight now, and honestly, their road game looks pretty shaky. As for Denver, after staring down four losses in a row, they really need to pull it together; hopefully, they find their rhythm. Oklahoma City just looks like the sharper, more cohesive squad right now. I'm crossing my fingers that this holds up.
Since they aren't even fully fit yet, if they don't reach 100% readiness by game time, it could really mess with their rhythm and overall performance 🤷
Denver is currently dealing with some major roster uncertainty, missing Timofey Mozgov and Danilo Gallinari, while Nen, Arron Afflalo, Rudy Fernandez, and Corey Brewer are all hovering on the edge of being questionable. I'm thinking maybe a couple of guys could step up here—does anyone actually know the deal with these players who are currently up in the air?
A little something I pulled together from my own page
NBA BETTING SLIP
Indiana Pacers betting slip - Utah Jazz 2 @ 1.30 The Pacers are heading into this one without their backup playmaker, Hill, and frankly, their starter, Collison, has been struggling big time lately. He’s averaging a measly five assists, and he didn't record a single one in his last outing. Because of that, I see a clear edge for Utah. While the odds for a home win are the same, I think we could see an upset here—don't go thinking Utah is an easy walk in the park. Miami Heat - Cleveland Cavaliers 2 @ 1.85 In their last nine games, Miami hasn't exactly blown anyone out by more than 12 points. It’s going to be a tough task against a Cleveland squad that’s playing some seriously high-quality basketball; they just took down the Boston Celtics recently and even managed to beat Dallas. Dallas Mavericks vs Oklahoma City Thunder 2 @ 1.75 The home team isn't exactly bad, but I simply don't see them having enough gas in the tank to handle Oklahoma City. Minnesota Timberwolves - Sacramento Kings 2 @ 1.30 I'm leaning toward this pick because the home team will be missing their leading scorer, Kevin Love. When you have a guy who can drop 30 points on any given night, replacing that production is a massive mountain to climb.
steelhawk12 said:K. Love is sitting this one out... The spread is sitting at 6 points... Honestly, it sounds a little too good to be true... The Kings played yesterday and they looked absolutely rough on the court... They’ve already faced them once, and if you ask me, Love alone accounted for about 33 points... So, who on earth is supposed to fill that void? John Beasley? D-Will? Dragoslav Peković?
Is there any actual confirmation he won't play? Injury?
The visitors might have the edge in pure talent, but don't count the home team out just yet. Personally, I suspect they'll come out swinging and start things off strong, but keeping pace with Oklahoma through the final buzzer feels like a tall order. It wouldn't surprise me at all to see them holding a lead at halftime only to watch it slip away by the end of the game.
