It’s not my communication style that’s the issue; people just love accusing me of trolling because I hold some pretty intense views that make them uncomfortable.
I make it a point to never be disrespectful, and I really stick to that rule.

As for the specific wording, I think the real trouble was just how often I used it. It's not like I'm planning on dropping it again in my next post—I definitely don't want another strike.

The phrase itself isn't even that offensive, so it feels like a real shame if it ends up getting a permanent ban.

I haven't used the word 'shorty' in a week now. Since the main complaint was that I was overusing the term rather than the word itself, I wanted to check if it's cool to use it again in a future post?

It's just a nickname that stuck in my head when talking about him—the guy is clearly tiny, and probably would've been even smaller if he hadn't gone on hormone therapy back in his teens.

I don't see calling him a midget as an insult, but today a moderator threatened me, told me never to say it again, and slapped me with a 35-point penalty just for that word.

I've read the Forum rules front to back, and I honestly don't see where I'm breaking anything by using this nickname for the little Argentinian legend. Help me out here.

I'm not just whining for the sake of it; I want a specific explanation of which rule I actually violated.

Don't give me the "you're just trolling" excuse, and don't tell me it's because the moderator finds it "annoying"—the rules don't say you get punished just because a mod is tired of hearing something.

Because if calling a midget a midget is against the rules, then the whole soccer subforum is going to fall apart, considering we use funny nicknames for players in basically every single post.

When mods only pick and choose certain nicknames to punish, it just makes the whole subforum feel totally arbitrary.
