If that doesn't work, try swapping in a different working hard drive just to test things out, and let us know how it goes.
Alright, I opened it up, swapped the cables, and plugged everything back in. It barely managed to boot up, so I'm typing this on it right now, even though it's painfully slow (it took a full 30 seconds just to delete two photos)... My memory usage is sitting at 90%, so could that be the culprit?
I’d really love it if I could run some kind of diagnostic or check to make sure this total freeze-up doesn't happen again tomorrow. Before this, it only happened when I was playing something demanding—it would just lock up, I'd have to restart, and then nothing special would happen until it started all over again.
