Damian said:I stopped trying to decode your logic a long time ago, honestly. It’s just that whenever you drop one of those aggressive punctuation marks and forget a single smiley face, I end up looking like the idiot who's overreacting to everything.😁

You’re prone to outbursts, occasionally... 😉 😛

Well, folks, the "elections" over here are officially wrapped up.
I won't pretend you all made particularly groundbreaking choices with your votes, but I'm not going to nitpick... 😉

Anyway, here’s what you decided:

The NASCAR Topic of the Year: "Ferrari is back on top!" and "CNN Schumacher" - looking at the threads, you guys were either incredibly indecisive or just threw your precious votes away on random topics that didn't matter... 😉

The NASCAR Post of the Year: Austin Evans surrounded by McLaren drivers 😛

The NASCAR Member of the Year: NASCAR : Luca di Montezemolo 😍

Thanks to everyone who took part in the poll.
I hope you all find plenty of great threads, decent discussions, and try not to get too full of yourselves out there... 😉
Teams are threatening to boycott races! in Formula 1 ·
With only seven weeks left until the new Formula 1 season kicks off, team principals are already threatening to boycott the European races. It all stems from this new arrest warrant law. Starting January 1st, the Extradition Warrant will be active in Spain, the United Kingdom, and Belgium, and by March, law enforcement in France, Germany, and Italy will be enforcing it too.

For Formula 1, the implications are massive because if there’s an accident or a driver loses their life, the police can actually swoop in and arrest the team bosses.

- I've reached out to the national auto clubs, asking them to try and get the sport exempted from this new law within their borders - said FIA president Max Mosley, noting:
They pointed back to the tragedy involving the Brazilian Ayrton Senna back in 1994 at Imola, when Italian prosecutors filed charges against constructor Adrian Newey and team director Patrick Head. Now, team leaders are terrified that if another accident happens, local authorities will just grab the top brass and keep them locked up until the trial finally begins.

It’s a damn shame they didn't design the cockpit to accommodate little people... 🙄
The new McLaren MP4-19 in Formula 1 ·
According to what I’m reading over on Formula 1 today, the only guy who can actually fit inside the new McLaren MP4-19 without feeling like he's being crushed is the test driver, Pedro de la Rosa.
It turns out Adrian Newey’s latest masterpiece features a cockpit so ridiculously tight that even guys like Kimi Raikkonen at 5'11", or David Coulthard and Alex Wurz at about 6'0", are going to be struggling just to squeeze in. Meanwhile, Pedro de la Rosa, standing at a much more manageable 5'8", won't have nearly as much of an issue.

There’s going to be some serious fighting out there... specifically between Michael Schumacher and Juan Pablo Montoya... personally, I wouldn't go betting much on Kimi Raikkonen... but then again, who really knows what's going to happen?

Yeah, sure... if you really believe that's how it's going to play out... 🙄

Here’s how you fill out the Grammy Awards 2003 ballot:

Pick a maximum of three candidates for each category:

Thread of the Year
Post of the Year
User of the Year

...and if you’re feeling inspired, feel free to toss in a custom award, just like the examples we've laid out.

Thread of the Year
It’s pretty straightforward—just drop a link to the very first page of the thread.

User of the Year
Just write down the username.

Post of the Year
This part is slightly more involved... though nothing too crazy.
Find the specific post you think deserves the win. Jot down its ID number. You can find that number by hovering your cursor over the "edit" or "quote" links located at the bottom right of any post. If you look at the status bar (down in the bottom left corner of your browser window), you'll see a string of text ending in postid=xxxxx, where xxxxx is the unique ID for that post. For instance, the ID for this particular post is 1017416.

From there, follow the usual steps for inserting a hyperlink, but paste this exact string into the address field:

http://www.forum.com/showthread.php?s=&postid=xxxxx #postxxxxx

...making sure to swap out xxxxx for the actual post number.

Please refrain from commenting on other people's suggestions, debating their choices, or starting arguments in this thread. Let's keep it clean.

As for the criteria, I'm leaving that entirely up to your own judgment: did a certain user, thread, or post make you laugh, teach you something, or just get under your skin?

If these instructions still seem a bit murky, you can go check out this thread.
If you actually want to discuss the selections, you can head over here.
