AMD Ryzen 3 1200

Uzishop ~ $2.00 on installments

Ryzen 3 1200 paired with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060

If you aren't using a 144Hz monitor, I guess you could probably get away with an Intel Core i5-7600K/1600/2600 and 16GB of RAM.

The Nitro+ RX 570 is 259mm, so it should probably be fine.

If you've just been relying on the integrated graphics from an i5 up until now, this setup is basically going to feel like a spaceship:

Even if it was used for crypto mining, I guess it might still be worth it.
DDR4 16GB (2X8GB), DDR4 3000, CL16, DIMM 288-PIN, G.SKILL Aegis F4-3000C16D-16GISB - $244

Aside from high-end GPUs, I guess once the Ryzen 3000 drops, it might actually be the best time ever to build a PC.

EDIT:

A new Samsung NVMe, though it seems a bit slower than the 970 EVO or an SX8200 Pro...

Well, of course it won't, since every chipset except the Z series is capped at 2666MHz 😛

The Corsair model seems to have worse latencies. Over and out ☕

That seems way too pricey for an RTX 2060 build...

32GB of RAM, shoved into a Future build... I mean, why? 🤔
Which PSU should I buy? in Desktops ·
Actually, I’d say the CX is just a slightly more rugged version of the Corsair Vengeance, maybe with a bit more build quality.

Or maybe this one:

- The TT version offers better efficiency, a Zero RPM mode up to about 200W, and a warranty that lasts two years longer.

The cheapest dual-fan option from Gigabyte is $847. Honestly, you could probably just grab a single-fan model instead, $67 cheaper... I guess it really just depends on how much noise bothers you 😛

For a decent model, the difference is $367 if you're looking at buying new. It probably isn't worth it compared to the GTX 1660 Ti, which I guess is slightly faster and uses a bit less power.

Used PC builds: What are they worth? in Desktops ·
It isn't much better than that 😬

300-$117
What should I upgrade? in Desktops ·
I guess the GTX 1650 would need at least 1024 CUDA cores just to keep pace with the RX 570, though I highly doubt that'll actually happen.
What should I upgrade? in Desktops ·
Well, you've got an AM3+ processor. That isn't going to fit in an AM4 motherboard, nor will it work with DDR4 😛 I'd suggest waiting until maybe August. RAM prices should be lower by then, plus those new 7nm AMD chips should be hitting the market too.
What should I upgrade? in Desktops ·
DDR3 holds its value pretty well; I guess you could probably flip it for $67 in a year or so. It’ll still come in handy for newer games.

The cooler is an obvious choice 😁

EDIT: Actually, scratch that. Turns out the Cooler Master won't fit on AM3/AM3+ 🤣

Maybe this one instead:

Grab a GPU and some used RAM (2x4GB for about $200-$83), plus maybe try overclocking the CPU if you've got an aftermarket cooler.

This GPU definitely seems like a solid value:

https://www.newegg.com/p/gpu-deals

..though if you're looking for a massive jump after upgrading the processor, it might be worth just waiting for a new GTX 1660 Ti for around $767.

That CPU is probably one of the better ones from the FX 8 xxx series; I guess it could probably hit 4.5GHz without much trouble.

PC Upgrade Ideas (Around $1,200 Budget) in Desktops ·
Honestly, the NVIDIA RTX 2070 isn't really worth it when you compare it to the NVIDIA RTX 2060. I'm guessing you're running at 1080p on a 144Hz monitor? If so, the AMD Ryzen 5 1600X might struggle to actually push that NVIDIA RTX 2060/2070 to its full potential.

RAM prices will definitely keep dropping. Plus, some much faster AM4 Socket processors are hitting the market in about four months. When were you planning on pulling the trigger?
