Thanks everyone, truly...

What can I even say? The funeral is over, and all that's left is this heavy emptiness. My mom always says that while he was alive, there was just pain; now, it’s just the pain and the void...
It felt just as exhausting and overwhelming less than a year ago when my best friend passed away at 29. No warning, no signs, he just left. I honestly thought I couldn't possibly feel this much weight again, or that I’d run out of tears.
I guess I was wrong.

I'll try to push down the memories of the hardest times with Dad and only hold onto the good ones. That way, I suppose he keeps living through stories and memories.

If I can, I'll try to help out here with whatever advice I've picked up over this past year. Though, I’d probably suggest everyone read every single post by Angela Wright first before they even think about asking questions.

Hang in there, everyone. Have hope, keep fighting, don't give up. Life is pretty shitty as it is; might as well try to make it slightly better...

Thanks, everyone.
My dad lost his toughest fight at 6:10 this morning.

He was a wonderful man who was loved by everyone. He succumbed to a glioblastoma that forced its way into our lives back on September 5, 2007, changing everything forever.

My father was a hero who fought until his very last breath, always surrounded by my mother and me. He finally fell asleep, exhausted, leaving his worn-out body behind. In a way, I guess he's finally free.

Everything feels a little surreal. No matter how much I knew how this would end or how much I prepared myself, the moment still arrived too soon.

I suppose I’m just grateful that Mom and I got to share these past few years with him. We lived through some of our best moments together, and he knew he was never alone—he was always with the people who needed him most and loved him most.

A huge thank you goes to Angela Wright, a guide who spoke with the kind of empathy you only get from someone who has walked this same path.

Thanks.

I have a few quick questions, if you're up for answering them...

thanks
Angela Wright said:Well, this exhausting day is finally over.

I am deeply, truly sorry.

I started reading through your posts tonight and I guess I can see things from your perspective now. My father (52) was diagnosed with glioblastoma multiforme.

Reading what you write, I think I know what’s coming...

I feel for you; for you, your mother, yourself, and your father.
