LeBron heading to the Sixers?! in Fans ·
I can't believe we're actually seeing LeBron move to Philly for this final stretch. It feels like the end of an era for the league when even the GOATs are starting to face the reality of aging. Do you guys think this move actually helps his legacy, or is he just chasing one last run?
So, there’s really no way to skip the meds or hormone therapy?
Have you looked into any alternative treatments?
Or is it just a permanent thing once it hits you?

It took me nearly a year to feel like myself again.

"Imagination is like an umbrella—it only works if it's open." - Albert Einstein. And that goes for having a healthy thyroid, too.🤣😂
I realized about a year ago that something had changed. I'm just not the same person—I talk way less than I used to... could it be some kind of curse?!
this is what people are saying:

-"my mom has Hashimoto's thyroiditis. It's honestly awful; she can barely get through a book because she can't focus..

-"a dear friend of mine also has Hashimoto's... she practically had to live in the library to finish her degree because studying made her feel so nauseous"

-"talking to people in person is impossible for me now. Just looking at someone or hearing background noise kills my concentration, making it so hard to say anything meaningful... people tell me the same joke a dozen times, and I usually have to watch movies several times just to follow along, like it's my first time seeing them every single time..."

-"everything I learned in school or college just fades away so fast... when I had to testify during my parents' divorce proceedings, I couldn't remember a single thing, almost like I wasn't even part of that family... I try to comfort myself, but the truth is I'll be looking for a street downtown and there's no way I'll remember the name of a local coffee shop"

I know a few girls with Hashimoto's and none of them are stupid, forgetful, or whatever else you listed🤷

unless you were a literal genius before this, I highly doubt it's the thyroid's fault!

like, forgetting where you were with your boyfriend?
or being unable to string two sentences together... because of your thyroid? I don't think so!

but hey, Betty Foster97 already replied to you.. and it sounds like you're dealing with the exact same thing
It honestly makes me feel a bit lightheaded reading everyone’s posts about their symptoms. My tests confirm the diagnosis, though I’m still waiting on my thyroid ultrasound results.
If anyone else here is dealing with this,
AM I REALLY GOING TO BE THIS FOGGY, SLOW, AND BRAIN-DEAD FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE? Even with medication???
I can barely string a sentence together. I usually just stay quiet when I'm out with friends because if I try to talk, I start stuttering and struggle to get my words out.
And the memory loss is real. My boyfriend will be telling stories about things we did together, and it’s like I wasn't even there.
Not to mention the fear that I won't be able to have kids, or if I do, they might be sick too. It's just devastating.
Does it actually get better?? Is it foolish to hope for a cure??
Who is to blame??

I can barely string a sentence together lately. I usually just stay quiet when I'm out with friends because if I try to speak, I start stuttering and struggling to get my words out.
The forgetfulness is hitting hard, too. My boyfriend will be telling me about something we did together, and it's like I wasn't even there.
And don't even get me started on the fear of not being able to have kids, or if they end up being sick too. It's just overwhelming.
Does it ever get better?? Is it naive to hope for a full recovery??
Who is even to blame for all this??
Honestly, I smoke like a chimney... when is the right time to quit if the answer isn't just "immediately"?
My breasts have been hurting for about 10 days now, and it feels way more intense than usual—usually they just get sore a few days before my period starts, but I still have about 6 days to go,
and my temperature is sitting at 99°F.

I know I’ve probably been bugging you all with questions lately...
Before, I was praying for a positive pregnancy test, but now I’m actually starting to get a little nervous...
Is it possible that I'm not pregnant after all??😕
